Backstory:
My name is Wren Caster. I am 11 years old and I love playing out doors. I am originally from Austin, Texas, but my family moved to London, England so we could be closer to my grandparents. I never really had any friends because I went to school in 1st grade and I was immediately singled out as the weird kid that liked mud and animals more than I liked anything else. After being bullied all year my parents took me out and made me home-schooled. I love all animals and am a full on vegan. I strongly believe that killing animals should be illegal. In this day and age, we have pills for protein that we could take instead of eat meat. We could take pills for everything to supplement the animal products. When I got my powers, I was outside kicking my brand-spankin new soccer ball (which I had just gotten myself) and I kicked it really, really far. I did not know I could kick it that far. I thought to myself, I will get a good spot on the soccer team next year if I can kick it that far in tryouts! I was about to go get it when I noticed the ball coming towards me. it just flew in the air like magic! (it actually was magic though) About a week later on my eleventh birthday I got a letter in the mail. It was from Hogwarts! I was shocked. I never thought that when the ball flew at me that was my brain doing that. When I learned that I was a witch it kind of explained that. I never even knew about magic or looked into it before the letter. I think my parents were a bit disgusted because my whole life they have been against everything supernatural and to learn I was a witch, I could not have imagined what they thought when the letter arrived. I have a pretty good relationship with my parents and they are pretty supportive of anything I try to do which I good because I'm an only child. They work a lot and they both quit their jobs so that I could come to Hogwarts and study magic. They were ok with moving because my dad had moved to Austin when he met my mom and they got married there. My dad had not seen his parents in 12 years and I had never met my English grandparents until now, so it was amazing to finally meet them! I saw how happy my dad was to see his parents again.
