Chestnut Wood
This is a most curious, multi-faceted wood, which varies greatly in its character depending on the wand core, and takes a great deal of colour from the personality that possesses it. The wand of chestnut is attracted to witches and wizards who are skilled tamers of magical beasts, those who possess great gifts in Herbology, and those who are natural fliers.
Phoenix Feather Core
Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike.
Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.

Determined | Amiable | Bookish | Curious | Clumsy | Stalwart
Julie is an intently curious creature, always trying to sort out how literally anything and everything could possibly work down to the finest minutiae, asking a billion questions, and will always seek to understand both sides of every interaction she has. Living in a small town has fostered an intense love of reading and gratification from completing coursework, breeding a meticulous and excited learner.

Due to this affinity for work, Julie grew up helping her classmates sort out their homework, and is quite amiable to most anyone. The introduction to the magical world has only heightened her eagerness to share and help others invest as much as she will in the gaining of skill and knowledge in this amazing place. She will be found often encouraging her classmates, and especially those she considers friends.

Once she sets her mind to something, much like the badger upon the crest of her uniform, she is bound and determined to see it through until the end. Its nigh impossible to discourage her from a task or from helping someone with something, and once a goal is made she chases every avenue she possibly can to see that it comes to a satisfying fruition. Failure to Julie is just "a missed step on the staircase, yeah you'll hit your shin and it'll hurt like bloody hell, but you'll make it to the top if you keep your focus."

One of her largest faults is her complete lack of balance, the clumsy girl hit a growth spurt far too fast, and her body is overtall for what her motor functions support. This bleeds into her mentality, as often times she'll sink into her native accent too thickly and some folks won't understand a thing she says. She also fumbles with being too direct, saying exactly what she's thinking or feeling and sometimes forgetting to filter it first, words dropping like too many jars carried in her arms, though she doesn't often have anything negative to say towards anyone.

No finer example of a friend can be found than in Julie, a stalwart girl who can be counted on in the direst of times and who makes promises she always keeps. She'll bust her tail(literally) helping a friend, and stand between them and anything bad coming their way without a second thought.

"How the bloody hell am I to send an owl?"

Born in the little town of Inverness left Julie loads of time to spend meandering the river and waterways, falling for the childish love of the giant supposed seamonster meant to live inside Lake Ness. She loved tales of giant monsters and dinosaurs, and as soon as she could read she snapped up every book on animals she could possibly snag. Julie grew extremely fast for her age, and with that came being the most clumsy child in primary school, often over-extending or blabbing the wrong thing often enough that folks found her incredibly endearing. In school she made enough friends to keep her happy, and always was excited to show her mother her coursework, or introduce her to friends. Though she never talked about her father, and as far as everyone she's ever met he doesn't seem to exist beyond the idea of her creation.

As she grew up, her bouts of clumsiness were often paired with strange happenings beginning at the age of three. When she'd begin falling into a ditch with rocks at the bottom, she miraculously found herself on the other side of it, safely unharmed. Once her father completely forgot about leaving the door unlocked before he left for the pub, and dreading spending the night in the cold outside, Julie leaned against the door only to fall into a newly unlocked front foyer. These little occurances became a joke between Madeline and Julie, calling the phenomenon Julie's "luck-ness monster", as there was no other explanation. Unfortunately, at the age of 8 Julie was almost involved in a car crash, a stranger rode off the side of the road nearly clipping her, but the fear sent her to the opposite side of the road. Frantic, she attempted to help them get out of the vehicle, but they expired as she watched, unable to figure out how.

Unlike most Muggle-borns, Julie received her letter via owl post, as unbeknownst to Julie her father is a muggle born of magical parentage, and who is fully aware of the world he is missing out on. Surprised, she stared at the owl for several minuets before it cuffed her on the head and dropped the letter into her hand, leaving the girl to stare dumbfounded to an exactly written address on the parchment. Excitement plagues the young girl at the prospect of magic, mysterious new creatures, and the hope there is some reality to the Nessie legend afterall.

Julie is Clumsy, I roll a dice to see if she drops things/falls over. This does not apply to Quidditch.
