Landon's parents met at work in the Scottish Ministry. It was a simple romance, a hit-witch and a hit-wizard in love. They eventually got married and settled down in a nice manor in the suburbs of Glasgow, with beautiful scenery to surround them. Three kids soon came, Beaux, their only daughter, then Landon, and then Wilson. But soon after Wilson died suddenly and tragically, the Rileys moved to Westminster in hopes of outrunning the painful memories of their late family member. With an even bigger estate, but not as nice of scenery, the two parents were employed in their same professions as hit-wizards in the English Ministry of Magic.
As far back as both his mother and father's side went, the family tree was all Ravenclaw. So when he was sorted into Hufflepuff, all the living Rileys and Moores were extremely disappointed and angry.

Landon was very close with his father up until sorting, when his father went into a frenzy and told his son lots of rude things. Landon hopes the relationship can recover, but his father can be a bit petty sometimes.

Beaux Riley - sister, 16

Ever since Landon took the blow of his other sibling, Beaux looked out for him, becoming almost overprotective. Wilson was Landon's best friend and partner in crime. They did everything together, until he died of an unknown cause that is still being studied. Landon wants to become a magical doctor so that he can figure out what caused his brother's death, and a lot of his new hobbies and passions are fueled by his late sibling. He would be eight if he was alive.

It was a warm fall day, October 31st, Halloween morning. The yard of the Riley Estate in Glasgow, Scotland was covered by orange and red leaves. Inside the estate, though, the Riley couple had just had their second child, Landon.
At age three, his little brother Wilson entered the world. He and Wilson were inseparable, his best friend and brother. They would go on tons of "adventures", pretending to duel each other with their toy wands or playing quidditch with broomsticks. As for his sister, three years older than Landon, she just kept to herself, spending most of her time with her friends.
By four, he had shown his first sign of magic. A puppy had been running across the road, and a truck was barreling down that path as fast as could be. Without even thinking, Landon stopped the truck and saved the puppy, who would not leave him alone after that life-saving act. Landon then adopted the young dog, his sidekick in every adventure he went on with his brother.

The two Riley boys were playing in their huge yard, pretending to save the world from dark magic, their toy wands in their hands and blankets tied around their necks like robes. At the time, Landon had been nine, his little brother only six. As they ran across the grass to "hide from the curses being thrown at them", Wilson just suddenly collapsed. Landon kneeled down next to his younger brother, shaking his lifeless body by the shoulders in hopes that Wilson's eyes would open up and he would shout about how it was a prank and how he had scared Landon so badly and that his older brother was so vulnerable.
But that never happened.
And the Rileys never figured out what caused their youngest boy to die suddenly, perfectly healthy before.
After the tragic event, instead of falling into depression, Landon just became even more trouble-making and careless. He didn't even work in school, just sleeping in class and not working on assignments. The mischief scale went up from a five to a fifty, and he didn't even act civilized sometimes. It was as if the glue that held him together and kept him sane had just vanished, and, in a way, it had.
In hopes of escaping the painful memories of their Scottish Estate, the family moved to Westminster, to an even more beautiful manor, victorian style and historic. Landon spent most of his time pranking and teasing his family and friends and sleeping or playing video games for hours on end. His one major passion was music. Landon listened to lots of bands that Wilson had liked when he was alive, and even started playing drums, guitars and many other instruments, becoming excellent at electronic beats and synthesizers, all the things that his brother loved. All in memory of Wilson.
Two years later, when his Hogwarts letter came as was expected on Halloween, his birthday, his parents were happy for him, hoping that maybe he could meet some people to keep their child in check and behaving. He and Beaux boarded the maroon train on September 1st, and Landon's hopes and dreams ahead of him.

Landon really is just quiet and sorrowful, a small and depressed and overwhelmed boy, still freshly wounded by the mental trauma of losing his brother. Because of this, he's covered all his emotions and insecurities up with lots of humor and trouble and sarcasm, in hopes that chaos would make him forget about his feelings.
