APPEARANCE Lyrra has long, black hair that reaches down to her back. Her habit of brushing out her curls make her hair seem more wavy and permanently frizzy. Her skin colour is a pale, neutral tone and her cheeks are almost always a rosy pink colour, speckled with freckles. Her length is just slightly taller than the average for her age. Lyrra's eyes are in between light and dark grey, with just a slight blue tint, they used to be a bright sky blue when she was younger. She has a precription for glasses, but only wears them occasionally. Her wardrobe consists mainly of dark colours, with a preference for dark cottagecore clothing.

HISTORY

Demetrius Kelly and Agatha Davis both came from pureblood families, both went to school at Hogwarts, and both got sorted into Slytherin. They seemed to be perfect for each other, and fell in love several years before they started dating at the end of their seventh year, just before they graduated. A few years after their graduation, they got married and moved to an old cottage in the suburbs of Dublin.

On the 28th of October, 2011, their first daughter was born. Demetrius had come up with her name long before his wife even got pregnant, and that name was Lyrica-Pearl Kelly. While Demetrius was absolutely in love with this name, Agatha found it too long, and resorted to just calling her daughter Lyrra. Since she was the girl's main caretaker, as Demetrius worked full time for the Daily Prophet, this became the name that Lyrra grew up and familiar with. While he was hesitant at first, eventually even Demetrius gave in and stopped calling her Lyrica-Pearl. Since Lyrra's parents were both wizards, the girl had been familiar with magic since early childhood.
While Demetrius and agatha tried their best to never openly express a hatred against muggles and non-purebloods, it was clear as day that they didn't particularly approve of it. They refused to let their daughter have any muggle friends, which resulted in her having a rather isolated childhood, surrounded by only her family and the occasional visits from aunts and uncles with their children, or other pureblood family friends.
When Lyrra was five years old, Agatha started homeschooling her. She taught her the basic things such as how to write, read, and do maths, but she also taught gardening, poetry, and sewing.
At the age of six, Lyrra discovered her greatest passion: the stars. It started on her birthday, when her parents gifted her an old telescope. The girl immediately fell in love with this gift. She would lay in the grass of her garden for hours and endlessly gaze at the stars. She decided that when she was older, she wanted to become an astronomer.
About three months after her sixth birthday, on the second of February 2018, Lyrra's younger sister Greta was born. That was one of the happiest days of her life. Since that day, she saw it as her duty to be her little sister's protector, even though she didn't know what exactly she wanted to protect her from. Over the years Lyrra only grew to love her sister more and more. Even though their age gap was quite big, they loved playing together, and always had the time with each other.

Something that had long been expected by Lyrra's parents was her first instance of accidental magic. Surprisingly, it didn't happen until she was nine years old.
It started with something minor. Greta had been annoying Lyrra by nagging her to play and Lyrra had reacted too angrily, which caused Greta to start crying. Now Lyrra felt bad, and so she tried to cheer her sister up by holding out her favourite doll and making it move in all sorts of silly ways. But suddenly, because she was twisting and pulling the limbs a bit too aggressively, the arm fell off, which caused Greta to cry even louder. All this noise made their mother come into the room, and when she saw the situation - Lyrra standing there with the doll in one hand and it's little arm in the other - she angrily sent her off to her room. Lyrra tried to explain: "Mom, I didn't do anything, it just fell off. Look!" But when she showed her the doll, something was off. It had magically repaired itself. In fact, it seemed like the arm had never even fallen off. Lyrra was confused, but her mother immediately realized what must have happened. That evening, they all celebrated with a fancy dinner and strawberry pudding for dessert.

At the age of eleven, Lyrra received her acceptance letter from hogwarts.
