Errand Information

Sabine Blumenthal believes vehemently in the power of experience. If students never get to experience magical creatures firsthand, how can they ever understand them? Thus, she set up a day for students to spend time with their choice of creature, experiencing the creatures firsthand and getting to pet, brush, and feed the creatures firsthand (with supervision). To participate, students will be expected to select ONE of the provided creatures. This is an incredible opportunity for students to get hands-on experience with magical creatures outside of the classroom--and as a bonus, students who are unable to take the class due to their school year may participate, too!

Please note: there will be three creatures provided. Each student may select a single creature to interact with. Interaction will be under adult supervision from the professor and students must be kind and gentle with the creatures. Each different creature will have an IC time slot that they are available.
Creatures

UNICORN | 12 to 1 PM
Reducio

Students have the opportunity to interact, from 12 to 1 PM, with a trio of unicorns. These creatures are gentle and soft and seem to prefer the company of witches. Students will be provided with the opportunity to pet, brush, and feed the unicorns.

AUGUREY | 1:30 to 2:30 PM
Reducio

From 1:30 to 2:30 PM, students who select this creature will be allowed to spend time with a group of Augureys. These creatures are quite sad and shy, so it is best for more mild-mannered students to pay these creatures a visit.

JACKALOPE | 3 to 4 PM
Reducio

Finally, from 3 to 4 PM, a colony of Jackalopes can be visited by students who desire it. The Jackalopes are enthusiastic, (mostly) sweet, and there are a variety of ages and personalities to interact with the students.
