INTRODUCTION:

Professor Bardot stood with a smile on her face, and next to her colleague and friend, Professor Talaki, who was there to assist with an errand. Although Professor Talaki had let some birds escape her classroom, Professor Bardot thought it would make a good opportunity to teach her students outside the classroom. Next to Professor Bardot were two trees that were close enough to hang a poster between them. The poster read:

Orinthomancy: Divination by reading the flight patterns, and colors of birds.

Actions and their meanings: (Flight patterns have to do with GOALS and whether or not they will be successful.)

1. If a bird flies horizontal then it means you will reach your goal, but it might be tough to do so.
2. If a bird flies straight towards you then it means things are moving with haste, and happy days are ahead.
3. If a bird flies high and fast or flies straight upwards it means excellent and speedy success
4. When a bird is flying sporadically or landing and flying repeatedly then it means you may have to start your goal over again. There are unforeseen problems to be resolved before you proceed.
5. A bird who flies against the wind means to heed caution of those around you because someone may not be who they appear to be.

Colors:
1. Red: A sign of good luck
2. Yellow: A warning to keep your guard up.
3. Green: Sign an adventure is ahead
4. White: A very good omen, a sign that happiness and joy is ahead.
5. Brown: Good health
6. Black: A warning of danger ahead or something unforseen will happen.

Professor Bardot also had a table next to her filled with binoculars and journals that included a quill. She spoke to each student that came up to the table. “Please be sure to grab a pair of binoculars and a journal. You will need them to view the birds and write down your findings. Please return them to either Professor Talaki or myself once you have finished.” She spoke with both excitement and haste, excited to read each student’s notes about the subject. She could not tire of teaching Divination. “And don’t forget about the poster behind me, you may refer to that at any time during your journey with bird Divination.” She finished.

Students should roleplay their character trying out the art of Ornithomancy, aka bird Divination.
