27.4cm, mayhaw and phoenix feather, fairly flexible

Mayhaw was a subspecies of Hawthorn and shared many of its characteristics of being contradictory and full of paradoxes. In a way, reflected the conflict stirring within the Slytherin with her constant fathoming of her sense of self. Fortunately, the wood of mayhaw possessed the forgiving trait of passiveness that made it ideal in the hands of Pea. Curse or to heal, it had no preference put its confidence in its master - or its more emphatic core to decide.

Unlike Mayhaw, phoenix feather was a distinctively stubborn core, perhaps even more so than Pea was. While Pea was a witch with an innate gift for magic in her veela blood, her wand's core would test her patience for a while, making for unpredictable spells. Surprisingly, phoenix feather found a liking in Pea's own independent mind similar to its own, no wonder defensive spells cast with this wand were often more dependable than any types. Overall, the wand of Mayhaw wood and Phoenix Feather may take a while for Pea to tame and personalise, but once the phoenix core accepted her, it would follow her dutifully through her years on the duelling stage and down dangerous quests and peril.

27.5 cm, black walnut and basilisk horn, stiff

Such a 'masculine' colour of dark umber did not compliment any of the veela's fashion of white elegance even in the slightest. Its appearance was a factor that, even though minor, might have aggravated her so much so that she would refuse to even give it a swirl at all. Whether the 11-year-old knew it or not, it was a good instinct - a trait that black walnut wood favoured. Similar to her current wand mayhaw, wands of black walnut were attuned to inner conflict but unlike Mayhaw, it had more independent ideals. Honesty.

Pea-elena Fowl was a very conflicted person, often reflecting and searching within herself for what was true. Indeed, what was? A kind heart and a warm sensitive soul or a cold, pompous epitome of a Slytherin? If she couldn't find her own truth, was she placing up with a lie? That was for black walnut to decide, and on its own attunement with Pea, was just as conflicted. In the hands of Pea, was unreliably sporadic in power, often working well with its powerful core for a while before it became unwilling to cast even the simplest of spells. Not at all ideal for the duelling stage.

One thing that Pea was certain about was that she abhorred her veela ancestry. Cores of veela- hair were resentful things, and fair enough was indignant those that resented them. So although unusual, the part-veela was never matched to a wand of a veela hair core. Instead, Pea's more insolent traits were incredibly appealing to a core like a basilisk horn that had a disdain towards the mundane and mediocrity. Pea, with her arrogance and ruthlessness, was perfect. The core of the basilisk would have made a substaintially powerful wand if only it weren't for the bothersome sporadicity of the black walnut.

History.

Pea was adopted by her aunt(Margaret Fowl) and uncle (Jay Fowl) ever since she was young. Her parents (Corbin Fowl, and Noemie Allard) were divorced when she was a mere 2 years old and decided to give Pea up to someone else. She was wondering about the real reason for her abandonment and her parent's divorce, but on her 11th birthday, other than receiving the news that she is, in fact, a part-Veela, she also found the answer to her long overdue questions. Corbin, Pea's father, never told his wife that he actually has Veela blood in him. Noemie, feeling betrayed and lied to and also coming from a purist family, refuses to have a part-Veela baby with him. At a loss, Corbin decided to give his baby to the most trusted person he knows, his brother who never had their own children themselves with his wife. The real REAL reason for his father's decision to give her up is still uncertain- but she knows it is probably another of his stupid reason.

Due to Margaret's muggle heritage, they live in a big muggle apartment just a little outside London. Margaret never isolated Pea from magic, since her husband is also a wizard. So Pea would grow up in both magical and non-magical households. Pea learns about magic from her uncle on her day-off and also went to a muggle school before she receives her letter from Hogwarts.

All is well and Pea lives a wonderful childhood, until... she turns 9 years old. Her uncle, Jay Fowl, died in a mysterious incident. A lot assume he got caught in a terrible crime investigation in the magical world due to him being an Auror. But to this day, they never found out who or what killed him, as they only found a body that was hexed with one of the 'unforgivable curses.'

Margaret was never the same since her husband died. She becomes quieter and more distant from Pea. Even so, she still gives Pea the best smile and a tough act every time Pea is near her. Which helps the blue-eyed girl with the mourning of her lost uncle. But Pea- unlike her strong aunt, wasn't as strong to receive the news about her uncle's passing. Even though he is not as close to him as her aunt- he is still like a father to her. The mystery of her uncle's passing is still lingering in her head to this day, and so is the feeling of loss.

The Entrance

The Alterton Apartment is where the Fowl family resides. The building
is known as one of the most luxurious properties in London. The property
was passed down from generations from the Jones family, (Margaret’s family)
and The Fowls live on the highest floor where they own the entirety of the top floor.

Upon entrance of the Alterton, there is a metal gate with an ‘A’ symbol
to signify the Alterton’s name. The building itself is ancient with
intricate details of sculpture and carvings. Although it is old, the
building was preserved well so it stood magnificently and sumptuously
on the buzzing London street.

East Wing - The Drawing Room and Main Bedroom

The other side of the entrance hallway is the east wing of the apartment.
At the end of the hallway, you will meet the drawing room. It is a big room with several
tables and chairs with rows and rows of paintings decorated on the walls. The room is used
for special occasions and events, or even a small parties. Before entering the Drawing room,
there is a door to the left in the hallway, which leads to another hallway. At the end of the
second hallway, is where the main bedroom resides. This is where Pea's aunt and uncle
usually rest.

Pea's Bedroom

Pea's bedroom is located on the west wing. Inside the living room, there is another door
that leads to another hallway, which at the end of it is where Pea's room is located. The
room is big and has the same decoration as the rest of the building, but just slightly
more modern. Inside Pea's room, she has a private bathroom and of course, another room
where her closet is. Her closet- almost as big as her own room, is where all her clothes,
bags, jewelry, and every other piece of clothing are neatly stored. The closet is most probably
the most modern-looking room in the room due to her contemporary fashion taste.

Kitchen and Dining Room

Right outside of Pea's room, the second door to the left is where the kitchen and dining
room lie. This is where most of the cooking is done in the house. Pea's estate owns several
house cooks and housekeepers to keep maintain the apartment. And usually, the kitchen is
where mostly they spend their time in.

The dining room is the place where usually the family eats their breakfast, lunch, and
dinner. Occasionally also a place where they host dinner with outside guests. The dining
room is also decorated with paintings, but also some cupboards with expensive
cutlery displayed.

Pool and Garden

Right in the middle of the apartment is where the pool and garden are located. On both
the west and east wing hallways, there are doors that will lead to the garden and indoor pool.
The pool is pretty simple, with only windows all around the watery depths. While the garden
is pretty small compared to the other rooms of the house, just to provide some greenery to
the white-filled decor. Margaret loves spending her time in the garden.

What is beauty? ..is it elegance? charm? gracefulness? or is it kindness? patience? sweetness? She never truly understand it, but somehow that title seemed to have always been given to her. Even after the 10th years of her life, she has never been able to explain how she got that title in the first place. ..Beauty, It was always like she was born with it. Skin that glowed in the sunlight, hair so smooth and white, perfectly placed against her shoulders and back. Every part of her face looked like it was measured into perfection. She was grateful of course, well more like proud of it. Although sometimes, she wonders whether it was a curse or was it a blessing.

Until, one late afternoon, just several hours before her 11th birthday, her aunt came into her room with something in her hand. "I have something for you.." she said with a slight quiver in her voice. "It's a little early for my present isn't it?" Pea answered, but of course, she would not refuse a gift. Pea started walking towards her aunt,

"this- this is not a present darling," her aunt said, "its.. answers." then she gave her an envelope, it was just a regular envelope but there's one thing that caught Pea's eyes, written in black ink in front of the envelope that says 'Corbin Fowl'. "...Father" Pea whispered, like it was hard for her to say that word. Then Pea took the letter, and opened it.

To my dearest sweet Pea,

Happy 11th birthday my love. I know I haven't been present for most of your birthdays, and from the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry. I know you might loathe me, and it was for the right reason. But I'm writing this letter not to ask for your forgiveness. I'm here to tell you something I should have told you from the beginning.

You know that your mother was a witch, and so am I, but I'm not just a mere wizard. You see my mother, your grandmother, was a Veela. She was beautiful and charming just like you, but she hates that part of her because her family uses their ability for.. awful things. So then she married a wizard, a pureblood wizard just like your mother, and she has 2 baby boys, and that makes me and your uncle a half Veela.

I know this is a lot to process for your 11th birthday, and you might not even know what a Veela is, but it is the truth, and this is the truth that separates your mother and me, and it was all because I kept this truth secret for a really long time and I have come to realize that I didn't want to keep this secret from you too. You deserve to know what you truly are, my sweet Pea. I'm sure you know what this letter meant, you, my darling are part Veela.

"I'm... part Veela?" Pea looked up before even she finished her letter. But her aunt just stays silent. "I'm part Veela!?" Pea says it again with anger in her voice. Of course, she knows what a Veela is, she read it in her uncle's books, or even in wizard children's books. They were beautiful ladies, that can turn into bird-like creatures when they were angry. Angry, just like she is right now, is she going to turn into one of those bird monsters? but just like her aunt could read her mind, she said "You're still you, a beautiful and talented witch, and you certainly are not-" But Pea get up and crush that letter in her hand before her aunt finished her sentence. Pea didn't look angry, on contrary, she looked calm. But her eyes looked so fierce that they could probably shred anybody into pieces from direct contact with it. "So that is why they abandoned me, because I'm part Veela?" Her aunt opened her mouth but close it again. "Then, I'm going to be twice the wizard they never were."
