Prizes:

Prizes will be given on participation/completion. Reaching a milestone will give you certain rewards. We have four milestones with stacking rewards.

Milestones:

• 3 art prompts: 1 HP
• 10 art prompts: 1 galleon; 1 HP
• 20 art prompts: 1 galleon; 1 HP
• 31 art prompts: 5 galleons; 1 HP; 1 gold frog cards

Rewards will be handed out in early November, as soon as we can.

Rules:

• No plagiarism, this must be your own work.
• This can be on any medium and can be interpreted broadly. Digital, classical and unique mediums are welcome.
• We might ask for your permission to use some of your art on the site to make things look pretty. You are free to decline.
• The art must be PG13 (this should go without saying but just in case).
• Fan art is acceptable as this is an out of character activity.
• These pieces are art are considered to be daily challenges but some are more complicated than others. The goal is to be done by the 31st.
• To show your art/progress you can make a thread in The Private Lounges. Just tag it [Artober].

To Claim Rewards:

Once complete you can post in this thread so that a moderator can give you your rewards at the end of the month. Artober threads will be locked on 1st November, please post your artworks by the end of 31st October. Please also post in here before the end of 1st November, after reaching the first milestone (at least 3 artworks) and just edit your post in this thread if you are updating your completed count for the milestone rewards.

Artober Guidelines:
Since I've had a few questions, clarifying here.

Writing: We've decided to say no to writing. It has to be a visual art form of some sort. We have Nanowrimo coming up for writing. So we won't allow poetry or short stories etc this time.

Mood boards/collages/graphics/edits using other people's stock images:
Yes you can do this BUT there's some rules when using other people's images:
--- You need permission to use those images. I recommend free stock images websites that offer licenses for commercial use or images you have purchased.

--- You need to credit them, citing the source and making sure people know that these images do -not- belong to you. Please provide links to the original images in each case.

--- Be mindful of what you're claiming as your art. Taking one image, changing the eye colour on it or putting a line of text doesn't make it "your" art. Please don't claim it as such. If you do an edit, credit them, show the original, show your edits.
To quote the discord server rules:

9.) Do not claim other people's work as your own (i.e. music, art, pictures, writings etc). This includes copying people's work with minor edits or line tracing and then claiming it as your own.
a.) Do not edit another community member's work without their permission. We will fact check any permission you claim to have gotten and may ask for a papertrail. Verbal consent does not count, and if it is your word against theirs and you cannot supply proof we will assume that you did not have permission and that you lied.
b.) Edits are common on the internet, your editing is also worthy of credit but so is the original artist. We do not expect a works cited or a reference page, but we do expect you to at least state that it is an edit.
