History/Background Story: Marcus was born in a magical family - His father, David, is a half-blood Wizard and his mother Sophie is a Muggle-born Witch -, so magic was all around him from the beginning. While growing up in this little village just outside of London, he was taught the basics, like reading, writing and mathematics. His mother also introduced him to Muggle Literature, which he grew up loving, as much as he did with Wizarding Literature. An only child, he never had many friends, apart from a couple kids that lived in the village - with whom he played with sometimes - and his cousins, which he usually saw during the holidays. David is an employee in the Ministry of Magic, where he works in the Department of Magical Education and Sophie is a Quidditch reporter working for the Daily Prophet. Marcus first manifested magical abilities when, in one particular afternoon while home alone when he was 6 years old, the late family dog was crying locked inside his parents' room, and Marcus, unable to get to the door, opened it just by looking at it, letting the dog free. Since then, Marcus listens very carefully every time his parents talk about the place they "learned everything" and where they met, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardly. On the day he turned 11 years old - June 7th - he finally received his acceptance letter and was very excited to start his magical education.
