Quentin is very interested in deconstructing the magical world. Although his intentions are generally good, his is given to overdoing things. Much like his siblings, he has a thirst for knowledge with an industrious desire to learn all he can and be the greatest he can be in all that he does. It is because of this diligence and hyperfixation that Quentin can also appear fairly intense, impatient, and pretentious, but this is only partly true. For the most part Quentin composes himself with a relaxed sense of contentment, albeit a little unjustifiably unsure of his own successes. It is for this reason that he likes to share his skills and understanding with others. After all, what is the point in being a "know-it-all" if you can't aid those that don't "know all"?

More than anything, Quentin values integrity and despises hypocrisy. He is quick to notice those who fall into insincerity and is quite sensitive to moments when others may be taking advantage or expressing displeasure with him. Any changes in environmental conditions or surroundings will not go unobserved, and you can bet that he will be fast to point them out.

Quentin appreciates the exchange of ideas. Once with friends, he loves to talk about pretty much anything under the sun, and enjoys discussing grander philosophies and wild ideas. He has a good sense of judgment and considers himself to be a good (if not tired) influence on his siblings, trying his best to act as a "middle man" and be as perspicacious and insightful as he can. There is a certain twinkle in his eyes that is never short on dry humor, but is rarely expressed to the masses as it can often seem like the world is his inside joke, but he is the only one who isn't laughing.

T H E ● CAMPBELLS ● OF ● M U L S T O N E ● M A N O R | Florence and Nigel Campbell were two individuals of very different temperaments, but somehow, they worked. Both wizards and pure-bloods in their own right, the pair met at Hogwarts and married a few years after graduation. Although welcoming Florence into the family was by no means a challenge, the young woman did take on the history and ideals of a Campbell when she took their name. An old wizarding family, the Campbells of Mulstone Manor in the Isle of Skye were of great wealth, tradition, and —dare anyone say— an elitist mentality. Old generations worshiped the magical craft and purity of the line in a staggering account, and intermingling with even half-bloods was met with a degree of skepticism and berating. And yet, things did change over time. The family’s emphasis on blood purity began to shift in the wake of the First Wizarding War. The violence and injustices they witnessed toward muggle-borns and even some half-bloods was concerning to them, and they did not want to be on that side of history....even if they still did not favor those who were not pure-bloods. As time went on, though, the newer generations began to break down the programming of their elders. To this day, the Campbells are much more tolerant toward muggle-borns and half-bloods, though it would be remiss to say that they don’t sometimes still appear to turn their nose up at their lack of magical knowledge and/or prowess.

𝑬 𝑨 𝑹 𝑳 𝒀 ● 𝑳 𝑰 𝑭 𝑬 + 𝑺 𝑪 𝑯 𝑶 𝑶 𝑳 ● 𝑳 𝑰 𝑭 𝑬 | Continuing the familial line, Florence and Nigel had three kids — triplets! As a matter of fact. Noah, Quentin, and Avery were children of very high intellect, but of course, they would have to be. Nothing less was expected of them as Florence nurtured and tutored them within the comforts of Mulstone Manor and Nigel pushed them to be better than their best. Reputation mattered, and although Nigel didn't have a very active role in the triplets' upbringing, the pressure to do well was still present all the same. It was actually quite rare for the children to see their father as he spent most of his time working at the family business, one of the newer sources of generational wealth and fame. Campbell's Crackling Cacao, a magical drink invented by the children's grandfather, spurred a lot of talk of expansion, and just as Nigel put pressure on his children, he equally applied that pressure to himself and the business he ran. In their early years, the Campbell triplets were very close. Occasional mishap or dispute aside, the three truly enjoyed spending time with each other — though perhaps they never had other very close-knit friends to begin with. All of their acquaintances were intentionally selected by their parents, but the thin concept of friendship by association was not lost on the trio. Quentin was okay with this, though. His siblings were enough for him and he knew that more exciting times awaited him once he received his Hogwarts letter.

Quentin's magic manifested when at 9 years old he seemed to have misplaced Ducky, his childhood stuffed animal, shortly after breakfast. He and his family scoured the house looking for it and although they turned up empty-handed, Quentin tried his best to brush it off and act unbothered. It wasn't until night fell and they were all getting ready for bed that Quentin truly began to feel distraught over the loss of his fluffy golden duck. As he crawled beneath the linen covers atop his bed, he began to whimper from the absence of his plushie. It was then that he felt the covers slightly shift and turned over to see Ducky's head sticking out from under the blanket. Although he never did find out where the stuffed animal disappeared to, he was more than happy to have it back — and very excited to proclaim to his siblings the feat of minor magic he had displayed.
