Szymon stands at an average 147.2 cm—definitely not his standing out feature. Neither is his pale olive skin. Instead, Szymon’s dark brown hair and bright green eyes tell his story. His hair acts as a glimpse into his personality, almost always in a crazy mess or done in a slightly poofy manner. His mysterious, yet friendly eyes portray his thoughts—if they can be deciphered. Mostly, his eyes gleam with excitement and adventure.

Szymon is no stranger to mischief. Almost always looking for an adventure, he often finds himself in situations where he can meet new people and learn more about everything around him. He is free-spirited, finding happiness and appreciation in the little things. He is fairly agreeable and compassionate, but will not hesitate to speak out when his beliefs are challenged.

And so the adventure begins.

Szymon was born in a muggle family, being the second of three children. He was extremely close to his two siblings, his older brother, Eddie, and little sister, Yazemin. There were two year gaps between each of them, which allowed them to relate and get along well.

His parents, Iwan and Taylor Fairburne, worked as a teacher and a computer scientist, respectively.

The family of five lived in peace, growing up in Yate, England. They often went on trips, walks, adventures, and much more together. One of Szymon's lasting memories of his younger life was spending every night before the children slept reading books together. His father always knew how to tell a story. Oh, how the children enjoyed his tales of magic, wizards, witches, monsters, dragons...it felt like ecstasy.

However, this peace did not last forever. When Szymon was about 6 years old, his parents became estranged. The family no longer spent nights together reading books...they no longer were as close as they used to be. The three children huddled together in those nights, attempting to block out the yells and screaming outside their bedroom. Ultimately, the two divorced, and soon after, their mother moved out, taking the three children with her. During this time, the children took care of each other, and repeatedly asked, "Why?" during the very few occasional visits with their father.

At the age of 8, the Fairburne children had a stepfather...someone they did not like. He was a disgusting and wretched man...making their mother serve him, despite the task being so incredibly small. Their stepfather drank...he was hardly sober and never helped out around the house. However, their mother enjoyed his company and insisted the children needed a proper father figure...even though he was more of a burden than a father-figure.

When Szymon was 8 years old, the children had one memorable argument one night with their stepfather. In the heat of the argument, screeched at his stepfather. Oh, how he desired his stepfather to lose everything that gave him pride...he wondered if his stepfather would ever stop acting all high and mighty. Their argument soon came to a stop when a large chunk of their stepfather's hair dropped to the ground. In an instance, Szymon felt satisfied. The look on his stepfather's face was priceless. He deserved it.

Despite the children’s complicated home situation, they all had an affinity for learning and exploring. Szymon's adventures outside of his home would prove to be the bane of his existence. In his hometown, he met a girl at the local school he attended. Her name was Valerie Calvert, and she would become his best friend. The two bonded over their love for food and adventure, and for most of their childhood life, pair enjoyed sneaking out of class, going on food adventures, and exploring the unknown.

When the two turned 11 years old, the Fairburne family heard a knock at their door...it was a very wise and tall woman. Someone who claimed to be a professor at "Hogwarts". Magic was real. And Szymon was a wizard.

He was ecstatic, yet he also felt...guilt? He was told he could not tell anyone. Not even his closest friends. Szymon was terrified about telling Valerie that he would be leaving. When that dreadful conversation came about, Szymon rattled on about being sent to a boarding school, and he needed to go to London. In other words, they would hardly see each other anymore. He mumbled under his breath, "Hogwarts better be worth it..." However, she heard him. And she was shocked. Not about leaving her. She was shocked that Szymon had gotten a letter too. They were both going to Hogwarts.
