This is a thread for relevant NPC Announcements.

Applications are open for iNPCs for all school until July 14th. Feel free to update your NPCs to their present year using the update/application forms. Please be aware that updates to your character need to be documented in the update thread. We have given you the autonomy to decorate your initial post as you wish, but the basic content their lives and story) does require application and must be in adherence with site rules.

We will not accept an "unknown status" (leaving something out that we do not notice is not an approval for whatever you fill in later) or anything that goes against site rules.

You are not able to make new threads per the permission settings but you can make new posts (to apply for things) in the application/update threads and can edit your iNPCs bio post. Your iNPC bio post needs to remain legible: no secret messages, no hidden fonts, no added information that was unapproved. We do keep records of your original information. Please do not sneak things past us, we will requests edits regardless of how long this was going on.

Just to clarify, staff will create your iNPC encyclopedia for you when your application is approved.

Once approved, your iNPC encyclopedia should only have two posts.
1. The first will be your full your iNPC application, with your appearance, history, personality, any aesthetics you want. [You can edit this post for aesthetic purposes. Do not edit any content (i.e. changing/adding words in the backstory or personality etc) without approval.]

2. The second post will be your "trunk". This will be the stats and abilities, essentially. This cannot be edited by yourself, you will need to post an update for this.

There should be no other posts in your encyclopedia threads.

iNPC applications and updates are now closed. Please do not apply for anything further at this time - they will be denied due to missing the deadline.

We will be going through the applications and marking them as accepted or pending. If they are in a pending state, please make the requested edits by July 21st.

A reminder to not roleplay new characters or any changes that you're making to existing characters until they have been fully approved.

Guidelines & Rules for RPing iNPCs -
Please remember these when roleplaying iNPCs.

1. Only approved iNPCs can be roleplayed. Don't RP things that aren't approved... (If you have unapproved/pending abilities or stats etc, don't RP them).

2. You MUST post a picture of your iNPC in every post with them. This picture or avatar is what you use when you are posting as them to clearly indicate that you are posting as your iNPC and not your PC. (This can be a fancy banner or just an image but something must accompany it).

3. Ideally, please link to your iNPC's encyclopedia in every post with them.

For instance:

Roleplaying as [Name of iNPC] from [School] - Link to Encyclopedia
[IMAGE OF THEM]

4. Honestly make it clear that they are different. If your posts aren't clear at first glance (i.e. without reading the post itself) then it's not clear enough.

iNPC application edits have officially closed. All updates/applications will be deleted from the registry threads in a few days, so if there is anything you need to copy, please do so.

Updated rosters for each school have been posted in the respective registries and the official rosters thread. If there are any mistakes, please reach out to me via owl/DM.

A reminder to all registered iNPC duellists that sign-ups for chess combat close in a couple of days and there are still spots open: viewtopic.php?f=238&t=17220.

Today marks the start of the new school year: **2021-2022** Meaning for those that wish to leave Quidditch/Dueling/Broom Racing to join another sport such as Quidditch/Dueling/Broom Racing, please do so now. This would mean posting in the sport thread they intend to join or leave and posting in the other sport thread that they intend to join or leave so that everyone can have a paper trail.

You will also be able to swap out your NPCs. Please remember your NPCs are able to be on sports teams but not the same one as your player character (this is to prevent conflicts of interest because it will be possible to play against these other schools). As such NPC updates are available ONLY for updating what sport your character is participating in for the next 2 weeks. [Deadline September 14]

iNPCs for all schools are open for applications and updates until October 11th. If edits are needed, you will have until October 18th to complete those edits. There are now five magical schools for iNPCs: Ilvermorny, Beauxbatons, Koldovstoretz, Durmstrang and Mahoutokoro.

Please remember to read the NPC Rules carefully, and read previous announcements in this thread for additional information.

There is an annual dance/ball/event coming up at Hogwarts that these schools will be invited to. The dates of their visit will be announced soon, but until then, please do not roleplay them in Hogwarts.

dNPC Updates

We have updated the information we have on dNPCs so that hopefully players will be able to better understand their use in our setting. Please remember dNPCs are relevant entities to your story but they are not the focus. We do not need to determine their commute to work or varies details of their ordinary day. They exist to facilitate (without giving an advantage) your character.

Updates are open and will remain open until March 27. Applications and updates are available for all schools we have released lore on. Please remember that you can only have one iNPC attached to your student account. You cannot swap out, so please think carefully about your selection because you will be keeping this character as long as you have your player character. If you lack the time, do not create a character in haste that you are unhappy with.
