Griseldis loves Asian food and desserts since childhood but in Hogwarts, not everyone has the opportunity to try these exotic delicacies. It’s currently spring and the flowers starting to bloom everywhere, welcoming the magical, and joyful season back in the arms of nature. Springs often reminds Griseldis of Japan, a very beautiful island country in East Asia. She once visited Japan to see her aunt and celebrated the Cherry Blossom festival with her family. Having a relaxing picnic under the cherry blossom and enjoy eating the sweetest and softest Japanese dessert called “Dango”. And that’s what gives the Gryffindor Prefect the idea to make a new errand for this year!

There will be one small group for students to make Hanami Dangos and one mass thread for students who decided to make Mitarashi Dangos or do some picnic preparations like laying picnic blankets on the ground or serving Japanese tea (Matcha or Sencha) and wait for the students to bring their self-made Hanami Dangos. All the ingredients and items for making Dangos will be prepared by the House-elves. They will also provide Japanese-style matcha tea sets, Japanese tea leaves, and picnic blankets for students.

Word Count Requirement: 1000 words per student
Group Type: Divided into two groups, one small (Hanami Dango) and one Mass Thread (Mitarashi Dango + Picnic & Japanese Tea preparations). Students can start in the Mass Thread, or move there after they finish their tasks in the Hanami Dango group. They can bring their self-made Hanami Dangos and share with the other students who make Mitarashi Dangos and Japanese tea. It'll be an educational experience where students can enjoy a lovely picnic together and learn about Japanese culture.
