Walnut wood is best known for its attraction to the highly intelligent. This is interesting when applied to Everly Charlton, as her personality reveals strong ideals rather than quiet pondering at first glance. However, there are multiple layers behind this. Everly is indeed rational, but she experiences with the senses. The walnut wood brings her mystical Seer and logical sides together, best suited for both divination and rational/scientific subjects such as Transfiguration and Astronomy. Everly is, however, down to earth rather than dreamy, but still theorizes within her head. Walnut makes for a handsome wood, typically dark brown to grayish in color. Walnut performs best for more levelheaded people, so Everly’s impatience may need to cool if she wants to do well in her spellcasting. If there is not enough magical energy going into a spell, the wand itself can overcompensate on its own, which can lead to backfire.

For Everly’s stronger personality, it’s rather surprising at first that she would receive unicorn hair. Nevertheless, this makes sense in that she is incredibly loyal and can have almost a quirky awkwardness to her in general social situations. The core is the most faithful, and it’s good the walnut wood is neutral, as the lightness of the core will make the wand difficult to turn dark. It is likely that Everly has a very methodical approach to magic since the walnut’s logical stance and the core’s magical consistency make for dependable magic so long as effort is put in.

The length of Everly’s wand indicates a very “wide” personality, not lacking in necessary character traits. In fact, this length implies Everly has a multifaceted, well-rounded personality and range of magic. Everly Kymora Charlton was born precisely at 7:36 PM on December 3rd, 2008 to William and January Charlton. Both William and January taught Everly valuable as she grew up - William was kind and trusting, and taught Everly the value of friendship, to look within and find the good in others. Her mother, on the other hand, was more closed and reserved. From her, Everly remembered to be cautious, and to examine and check before blind trust. William and January always encouraged Everly to be open-minded, introducing the family to Muggle customs and traditions. Though Everly didn't know the reason behind this, she rather enjoyed learning about the Muggles. As a child, she had no idea about her family's past, nor about their financial troubles - all she knew was that she was surrounded by those she loved. Everly had two older brothers, Asher and Myles, whom she found irritating but still loved them dearly. Myles, for one, was a huge fan of Quidditch. Everly found his obsession annoying, especially when he made her attend many games. However, once Everly started to read more about the game, she grew to find it interesting and started to become a fan like her brother - though she wouldn't go that far. She supported the Holyhead Harpies and learned to ride a broom around the age of 5. The three were childish at times, but they grew to appreciate each other.

Everly also has an older sister, Adeline, who is seven years older than Everly. Though Adeline often found Everly and her brothers' antics quite childish and foolish at times, Adeline and Everly eventually bonded and began to appreciate each other. The two became much closer as Everly got older and more distant from her brothers, who got closer as well. Everly confides in Adeline the most, and Everly is thankful that Adeline is there when Everly needs her to give her advice and cheer her up when Everly needs her.

Unfortunately, the family had to move to Godric's Hollow because they needed larger living arrangements when Everly was born. However, this wasn't the last of their moving - they moved to Canterbury one last time when Everly was six. Because of this, Everly has an appreciation for travelling and adventures, leaving her with a goal to see as many places as possible before choosing one place to settle down.

Magic finally made its show in the little girl the day the Charltons were moving in. The girl was still six and stumbled over the boxes in the room, trying and failing to find the small hat she was looking for. And then she had a flash, a sort of feeling and certainty, though she didn’t know what came over her. And then, she stumbled, fell, and landed on the floor without a single scratch on her. And that small, pink hat, right in her hand.

It wasn't until shortly after Everly received her Hogwarts letter did she realize that she experienced things a tad bit differently than others. The Charlton family had been visiting Diagon Alley to pick up new supplies for both of her older brothers and for Everly herself. The family had been heading down the lane to visit Flourish and Blotts to buy books for the three, when a strange feeling of intuition came over Everly and she had some kind of sense, of certainty what would happen next - that her older brother would trip and fall over an uneven stone. Everly felt prickled and unsure, her rational side disbelieving, but something inside of her caused her to turn her head and watch. There was nothing she could to stop it from happening; but Everly watched as Myles fell to the ground and let out a sharp cry, cringing when she heard the snap.

Everly has a short frame, standing just below 4’10. She has a soft face and rosy cheeks, with dark brown eyes that have a piercing stare if she doesn't trust you. A mischievous smile and wavy, chocolate brown locks that surround her face. If she's excited or happy, her eyes will light up and give off the impression that they sparkle.
