Kona relaxed a little with his promise. Now we are just checking out a book without going through all the proper steps. She took a couple of deep breaths and then immediately went back to panic when he mentions detention. Growing pale, she tried to take his reassurance that they wouldn't get caught, but this was a first time thing for Kona. She never did anything that broke the rules.

Her mind began to wonder for a moment thinking about the many books that were over there. Vast amounts of knowledge that she will eventually need to know, just within reach. Kona wondered which books she would grab, she wouldn't really have time to look at them much. Would she grab classics by Libatius Borage? Or would she find things she has never even heard of? What if she grabbed something far too advanced and they couldn't even do the potion? She doubted that they would be able to do any of the potions in actuality, but still marveled at the thought of attempting them.

"I'm ready whenever you are." She whispered, her mind jumping back into focus. "You lead the way." Kona clutched onto her bag tightly once more. His smile was exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. Just be careful and nobody will even notice you.

Depending on where this leads, if you are interested in your character having a 'sidekick' so to speak. She is loyal but shy. I was hoping she would find somebody to kind of be her 'leader' and close friend.

He nodded quickly, eyes narrowing with determination. Swiftly, Isaac snatched a book from the shelf beside them, charging out into the open.

"Oi!" he called out waving his arms, "I think you forgot something!"
Adrenaline surging through his veins, he tossed the book with deadly accuracy, so close that it glanced one of the student's ears.

The entire group fell silent and looked at him with shock and fury. One tall girl, that he quickly identified as the leader, got up, glaring at him with something nearing hatred in her eyes. The silver and green badge glittering on her chest told him that she was a Slytherin, and from her face, he judged her a fourth-year.

"What're you going to do about it?" he challenged her, fire glimmering in his gaze. He stood light on his feet with an proud tilt to his chin, and with a growl of fury, she began to chase him, wand extended.

"You cheeky-" she snarled. He couldn't catch her last curse.

Heart pounding with the urge to run, Isaac wove around the shelves, dashing past fallen books and toppled carts. From the footsteps pounding behind him, the rest of the group had decided to give chase too, racing behind him like a pack of hounds.
As he ran, books blurring around him, he made sure to lead them as far away as he could from Kona.

It's up to you now. I'm trusting you.

Kona's heart was pounding so loud she was sure that the entire library could hear it. As he nodded, she walked away from him so they didn't look like they were together. Unsure of what he was going to do, she watched in secret.

I don't know what I was expecting but I wasn't expecting that! She thought to herself as she watched him chuck a book at one of the students. The book narrowly missed the student and even made her grimace. If her hands were holding her bag strap any tighter they would bleed.

Watching as the two broke out into a half wand duel half chase, she glanced around quickly before rapidly moving towards the section with advance potion books. Would it really be this easy? She took several deep breaths as she reached the shelves.

Kona reached her hand out taking a moment to brush her hand against the spines and looking around her one last time. Just grab the books and go. Several books lined the shelves including, "Moste Potente Potions" by Phineas Bourne and "Advanced Potion-Making" by Libatius Borage. Extending her hand she grabbed two of the books closest to her and shoved them in her messenger bag the best she could. Calmly, she slipped out from behind the shelves and crossed the library where she lingered for a moment, glancing around for anybody. I hope Isaac is okay.

Moving towards the doors, she grabbed the handle of the heavy door to heave it open. At least he knows where the potions classroom is now, I showed him my map. There should be no problems. She attempted to reassure herself as she left the library.

Isaac ran like he had never run before. Like a man on fire, he dashed out of the library and down staircases, praying that a prefect wouldn't spot his mad dash. The group continued to follow in dogged pursuit, sending hexes his way. Most of them missed by a hair, giving him a heart attack.

Sure, even he didn't expect being so daring as to throw something. But the deed was done, and now he had to deal with a storm of students. Breath coming quickly, he rounded a corner, feeling the walls of the corridors closing in on him. He couldn't keep this up forever.

Panting, Isaac wildly looked about legs shaking. He had descended many floors, and it looked as though he were in the basement. The dim light slanting from the walls and soft glow of torches confirmed it. Looking at the enchanted paintings on the walls and stone beneath his feet, he suddenly spotted the boy's and girl's lavatories, doors firmly closed.

It was time to hide.

He ran in, pulling on the metal handle to the boys lavatory and rushing in. A couple of occupants gave him glances, but he was too focused to notice. Opening a stall, he leapt atop of the toliet, precariously perching atop of it. Inside the stall, he had time to catch his breath.

He knew he had a head start on his pursuers, so there was a good chance that they would miss the bathroom and continue to rush forwards. Isaac waited with baited breath.

To think, what would Mam say if she knew I was hiding in the loo and already threw a book at someone? So much for behaving like a gentleman. Beth would be horrified to see me now, ha, she's horrified when I come home covered in grass.

Isaac tried to ignore how his heart ached painfully. The door opened with a creak, and heavy footsteps filled his ears. The blood rushed to his face as he knew instinctively it had to be one of the group. The boy walked slowly and ponderously, knocking at each and every door.

Barely breathing, Isaac stayed as still as a statue. The boy rapped on the door with his knuckles thrice, grunting in displeasure. The moment seemed to stretch out for eternity, and his legs ached.

Finally, the footsteps passed. The door shrieked again, and slammed shut, leaving him home free. The first-year leapt swiftly off his perch like a cat and unlatched the door, warily walking out of the loo. With a glance from side to side, he dashed over to where Potions was, exhilarated.

If Kona's got the books, then we're ready to roll.
