Upon graduation (not expulsion), a character ceases to be considered a student and becomes an "adult" character. All adult characters can get a job, but they must meet the prerequisites for the job and apply in this thread during the month of July or August.

Job Description: (you should provide a sentence or two on the specifics of where your character will be working and what their job is - eg if you choose Athlete you may want to specify they will be a Football player for team x, or if they are an Artisan you will want to specify that they sell crochet toys, etc)
Proof of Prerequisites: (link to rp threads, screenshot of OWLs/NEWTs in report card or trunk, proof of sports experience, etc)

It is the players' responsibility to provide links to relevant threads and include screenshots of any OWLS or NEWTS that they might have accomplished.

After getting your job approved, during the course of the next year, your character would be in-character working in that role. To move up to next-level positions where you need to have experience at a lower-level, you will need to complete three (3) roleplays and link them in your application the next year. These threads need to be job related, eg selling items in a shop if you are working in a shop, or mixing drinks if you are a bartender. Two formats of roleplay will be accepted:

• a solo thread where the roleplayer needs to write 2000 words
• a thread with another player where they need to make 5 posts, meeting the site minimum of 200 words each (total 1000+ words from you, but takes longer to complete). The posts can be longer, but there needs to be at least 5 posts in the thread.

An adult can hold only one job at a time. You do not have to advance to the next level of your career path if you don't want to, you simply don't apply for a change the next year.

If you have completed a year as a Librarian's Aide, or if you are former adult staff of one year or more, you can also use this thread to claim OWLs/NEWTs. Please post the below form separately from your job application.

After your application for OWLs/NEWTs is approved, you can submit the relevant OWL/NEWTs in the report card, specifying your name and a link to your approved application. eg you would go to the Charms OWL and submit this in the homework section: "My name is xxx, I have been approved to automatically receive this OWL/NEWT here: link to this application." The professor of that class will then grant you a passing grade.

Note: You can only apply for a job/to switch jobs during the summer months of July and August. Admins process these applications, so if your application is waiting for longer than 2 weeks, please reach out to a Head of House or a Headmaster. Job Description: Quidditch Stadium Security. Big games attract magic users from all over the world, and the celebrity status of players puts them at risk. This job involves both pre-emptive charm work and active expulsion of rule-breakers. Locker room defense, game field defense, and more could be expected of this position.

Job Description: Farron needs a job change, and she still wants to be close to Finley Greer Hogwarts. So she finds a host job in Hogsmeade. Luckily in her teen years she had experience in restaurants here and there, so it wasn't a completely foreign position. There is a long term goal here- but that will soon be revealed over the years.

He hopes to be able to paint magical, moving portraits some day and maybe even own his own store to sell his work.
