While not shy, Kevin is the type to get to know people slowly. He's content to watch from a distance, then mostly listen as another talks and finally just talk about a bunch of different topics and various nothings before getting into personal details. He's a true friend for those he becomes friends with but is firmly in the camp of liking to make friends over enemies and even goes out of his way to avoid conflict where he can given his stature. However, he's not without his bottom line and will readily call in friends to really make a mess if push comes to shove. He's ferociously curious and rarely if ever only asks one question. If left to his own devices, he'll think nothing of spending a day reading or practicing magic to pass the time. However he's very excitable, especially in a group and can thus be a bit of a clown or trouble maker.
History:
Kevin grew up straddling both worlds and is equally comfortable in both. However if given the choice he'd rather be able to keep as much magic as possible in his daily life. His goal is after all to be a great researcher and contribute to the advancement of magic - even if he can only be the Minister of Magic that makes such things possible. This attitude can solidly be contributed to his grandfathers - both of which were researchers: one in the Muggle sciences and the other in medicine at St. Mungo's. His pure-blooded side was never overly pretentious - the family cared more about ability than ancestry so there's some question to just how pure they are. But there's never been any definitive mixing until his father marrying a Muggle-born witch. Though everyone concerned has been so concerned of potential backlash that he's developed a complex about it. This was driven home when a co-worker commented on the "shame" of it while visiting his grandfather at St. Mungo's.
