APPEARANCE
Marcela is a natural blond, her hair falling in light waves framing her angular face. Her eyes are a light blue, mimicking an aquamarine stone.

She is a delicate soul, her skin pale enough that a bruise or scratch shows easily against her alabaster skin tone. Because of this she does her best to avoid physical conflict, much preferring to use words rather than force.

Marcela is a girly girl, loving skirts and dresses however she does dress to the weather and would not be caught wearing a skirt in the winter cold unless she was safely within the warm walls of the castle.
PERSONALITY
prideful - stubborn - loyal - adventurous - determined - competitive - hangry - inquisitive - imaginative - daring - dependable - impulsive - sarcastic - smart - captivating - enthusiastic
Marcela is quietly bold, not one to initiate a fight but she will be the one to finish it. She is smart, a fast-learner with a quick tongue. Her heart is often worn on her sleeve but she will only let those close to her in. She hides extreme emotions well, her childhood tutor having taught her the importance of indifference.

PRE-HOGWARTS HISTORY
Reducio
Peter Clark had always been a family man, one of seven children, Peter thought that he would one day have a large family as well. He attended Hogwarts with four of his siblings, sorted into Ravenclaw he was a naturally smart man. Hogwarts is where he met his future wife, Frieda Edmonsson, a Slytherin.

Once they graduated from Hogwarts, Peter took a job at the Apothecary and Frieda elected to start growing potions ingredients. They settled in Bristol, in a sprawling manor house that had been in Peter's family for a very long time. His family was filled with magic for as far back as he cared to trace, not particularly caring about that depth but proud of his heritage nonetheless.

Being married almost straight out of Hogwarts, Peter and Frieda assumed that they would start their family immediately. And they almost did, but heartbreak after heartbreak nearly broke them apart. Three failed pregnancies later the couple were as close as they could be to a divorce. It took an intervention from some of their friends to help them see that they loved each other enough and would be okay even if they had no children.

They stopped actively trying to have children, thinking that it could be the stress contributing to their failures. The couple went on vacations around the world, doing everything that they would've loved to do with their child just with each other. It helped their relationship, going on adventures and remembering why they loved each other in the first place. Their trip to Rome was by far Frieda's favorite, between the history and the food Frieda felt most content in the world.

It was after that trip to Rome that Frieda learned that she was once again pregnant. She resolved herself to simply enjoy the journey for as long as she could, and she told herself not to get too attached to the child growing inside of her. However, nine months later a blond haired baby girl arrived, and Frieda immediately knew what to name her. Marcela, after the Roman matron of strength and intelligence. Her middle name, Imogen, came from Peter's mother who had passed a few years prior to little Marcela's birth.

It was as if Marcela had always been part of their lives. She was an easy baby, curious of her surroundings but never one to fuss without reason. She enjoyed her soft plush animals, her favorite a purple dragon that was dubbed 'Ag' during her babbling. Marcela liked things to be done when she wanted them done, it was evident that patience was not a virtue that she possessed.

The adventures slowed with Marcela's arrival but did not cease. The family had at least one large trip a year, usually someplace warm during the winter holiday season. From the Bahamas to Australia, Marcela had been across the world before her Hogwarts letter even was a thought. Though Marcela did love traveling quite a lot, nothing could rival a nice sleep in her own bed.

At the age of five, Marcela had her first bout of accidental magic. Frieda had taken away the tin of cookies that Marcela had been happily munching on. When Frieda walked out of the kitchen, having stowed the chocolate chip cookies away safely out of little Marcela's reach it had enraged the child. Instead of the tantrum that Frieda was expecting, she heard one surprised gasp from the living room. She rushed back into the kitchen to be greeted by the sight of Marcela sitting on the kitchen floor, cookie tin in hand and a huge grin on her face. While Frieda was frustrated with her child clearly being on a sugar high, the pride in her voice was unmistakable when she told Peter of the events when he arrived home from work that night.

On the morning of her eleventh birthday Marcela bounded into the dining room for breakfast, her eyes watching the windows anxiously. She knew she was a witch, but her nerves would not settle until she had a Hogwarts letter clutched in her hand. Her parents sat at the table already, hiding their grins behind their coffee mugs. A plate of pancakes accompanied by scrambled eggs and bacon appeared before her, the family's elf Ipsy clearly remembering that it was his Special Young Miss' birthday. They ate in relative quiet, Marcela's nerves practically flying around the room.

An owl finally arrived as the family finished breakfast, looking rather tired from flying through a summer storm. Marcela nearly jumped out of the window in her exuberance to let the owl inside, handing him a piece of bacon after carefully prying the letter from its grasp. Once the bird finished with his treat he simply fluffed his feathers and flew off, returning to its original starting point.

In mid-August, her family took a little trip to Diagon Alley to pick out all of the supplies she would need for her first year. Heading off to Ollivander’s, it took trying four different wands before the wandmaker was able to find the correct one “Chestnut Wood and Dragon Heartstring, 28.2cm” He had said the wand was very selective of the wizard, or in this case witch, that it chose and that it was rather powerful.

Upon returning to Bristol, Marcela immediately started packing her trunk for Hogwarts. She did, however, leave out her books so that she could get a head start on reading for the start of her first year.
