Colin is 141 centimetres tall and rather slim. He has rather soft facial features - He has brown eyes and medium-length ginger hair, as well as a light splattering of freckles over his nose and cheeks. His hair hangs messily over his forehead, but ends across his brow.

Colin is polite, excitable and fun-loving - Whenever he isn't fumbling over his own words speaking to somebody he doesn't know to well. He longs for fun, excitement, yet is so easily thrown off balance in a new situation that he doesn't often expose himself to anything particularly thrilling.
He finds solace in those whom he is friendly towards' around them he can shed his fear and speak freely, allowing him to perform in the more bubbly, extroverted persona he so desperately desires to adopt.
He tends to be well organised, but can easily become overwhelmed with small amounts of stress. Small failures can quickly cause him to doubt his own abilities - Answering a question wrong in class, a social interaction getting poorly, getting less than an Exceeds Expectations on a piece of homework, and so on.

To seek companionship, To find familiarity: Colin values his friends more than anything else. He cherishes any moment he can have with them, in some God-given propensity to seek companionship. However, he's faced with difficulty into the fact that when faced with unfamiliar social situations, he recedes into a shell of overt introversion. Unfamiliar stimuli sparks some kind of primal fear within him, and his natural reaction to fear is to close up, to freeze. In attempted conversations with strangers there is a chance that Colin may simply shut down.
This is one of the reasons why Colin places great value on the people who he has become friends with; He finds comfort in the familiar.


To impress, To learn: Colin's mother originally desired to be a great composer, or a performer - she resents her current position as a teacher. This lust for attention, for stardom, has unfortunately been passed onto Colin, though to a lesser extent; while he does not wish to perform, he is driven by a need to impress others. This partly contributes to Colin's desire to learn; He will study subjects that he finds interesting on his own, so that he can then relay facts about these to others, showing off how knowledgeable he supposedly is in such topics. He does not hold onto these interests for long, though, and will soon discard knowledge of them in favour of something he deems more interesting.
He struggles to actually identify his own interests due to this, as he worries that hobbies gained through this process are 'fake' - he worries that he may only enjoy them as he believes he could impress people.

-Colin's speech is typically quite refined. His irish accent is faint, and he abstains from using colloquialisms. Due to this he is occasionally mistaken as being British by those who aren't quite as familiar with British accents, or those with thicker Irish accents than him.
-On days where there is little wind or precipitation, Colin will make his way to a place roughly north-east of the castle. This is a small path with a view of the Great Lake, which rests quite close to the edge of the forbidden forest. (Seeking Old Stumuli) He goes to this place to do his homework or read, or simply to escape from the starkly unfamiliar castle, which he is struggling to grow fully comfortable or familiar with. He believes this place to be private as he rather naively assumes that no one would wish to come this close to the forbidden forest.

Colin was born to Connor Sidhe and Sophie Kerry-Sidhe. Connor Sidhe is a 40 year-old Solicitor from Newcastle, County Down. Sophie Corrigan-Sidhe is a 37-year old piano teacher from Belfast. They live together near the outskirts of Belfast. Colin is their only child.
Connor always planned to be a solicitor, and while he doesn't expect or pressure Colin to follow the same career path, he wishes for Colin to succeed, to excel. while being kind to Colin, they have always been strict regarding study, and have put extra pressure on him to do well in his GL and AQE, so that he could advance on to a good school, get good A levels, and excel in whichever career path he chose.

Colin went to school in St.Malachy's Primary School, Belfast. He performed well in the majority of his work (all of which was done under close watch of his parents).
While not unpopular amongst his peers, nor unfriendly to any of them, Colin spent most of his time there with a close-knit friend group of three others - Noah, Ruairí, and Caoimhe. He remained almost exclusively with these three.
As a muggle-born, his life was uneventful - not that he didn't enjoy it, as he knew nothing else. He hadn't yet put a great deal of thought into his future, only following along with his parents will, studying diligently so that he may do well in later life. His only major drive before his life in Hogwarts was to impress, and by achieving good test scores for them he did just that.

Upon discovering he was a Wizard, Colin soon realised that he would have to leave his friends behind. This was so difficult for him, that he rather abruptly cut of contact with them - This was not done out of spite, and was instead nothing more than a reluctance to admit to them that he would be unable to go to the same school as them once he left Primary School. This refusal to face this confrontation, and thus avoiding to meet his friends for whatever remainder of the summer was left, led to the other three of the group moving on from him- that is, after his parents had gently explained that he would not be going to the same school as them.

First Instance of Magic:

Prior to his first instance of magic, Colin had not exhibited signs of anything unordinary. His first instance of magic occurred in Year 6. Approaching his GL and AQE examinations, his parents had been getting him to do several practice examination papers over the weekend. He didn't particularly enjoy these - They didn't interest him, and he finished them with such ease that he considered them a waste of time.

One weekend, he had made plans to go to the park with his friends - however his parents insisted that he stay in and complete the practice papers his school had provided him with. In his own frustration, while at his desk doing the work, he began to scribble over them. As he did so, on the floor beneath him, lines of graphite began to shoot out from where he was sitting in random directions, some climbing onto the walls.
When Colin finally noticed these, he stopped scribbling on the paper to stare at them in shock. This caused the lines to quickly fade, and within minutes the room was left spotless, as it had been before.
