When in Doubt, Give a Snake a Shout
Interacting with: @Sarah Lightwood
Date: October 7th
It was really not a good thing to be in love with a single book rather than a whole collection, but unfortunately Paisley had been bestowed with the curse. It was because of this very reason her grades were low and her spirits were even lower. She wondered if there were somehow Dipper could get ahold of her grades. She would surely mock her then. Paisley was unable to bear the thought, and she closed her eyes shut tight, pushing it away.
She sat in the study room, her homework pushed aside on the table, as she read the most amazing piece of prose she had ever set her eyes upon for what seemed to be the thousandth time. Most of the words she could recite in her head, but that didn't make it any less amazing. She had been doing quite a bit of reading lately, due to the fact that there seemed to be nothing else to do around the castle, other than work, which, as stated before, was not high on her to-do list at the moment. Other than the dance. You could get ready for that. Paisley froze mid-sentence. She couldn't think about that. The very thought sent shivers up her long spine, to the top of her neck. She was confused about it, because she didn't know what she should wear, if she should go, and if she even had any friends who'd like to go with her. She only had about 1 friend, Allie, and she didn't know if they were going to the dance or not...
With a resigned sigh, she set her beloved book down. Her head turned slightly to the side, and then back to the book. It was a terrible decision she had to make: Homework, or literature. She picked up the homework and he eyes seem to unfocus, her very being losing all knowledge it had possesed before. It was Charms. Complicated, ridiculous, useless Charms. Well, maybe it was going a bit to far saying it was useless. Boring was a better word to describe it. She took out her wand, and opened her mouth to cast a spell. Any spell. Everything she had ever hear the professor say slipped from her mind. The incantation, movement, and correct thoughts to be thinking didn't stick with her the way herbology did. She liked herbology, it was interesting. Spells were...not.
Her head bent in deafeat, she set her wand down. She opened the book, but couldn't focus on the words. She needed focus. That was it. She just needed to power through and get it done! She looked all around, once again feeling helpless. If only there were someone, something that could help her get this done....then an idea sprung to mind. Sarah!
