Why am I so mean? These girls have done nothing to me. I wish I was friends with them sometimes. They look so happy and like they have fun. I wish I had a friendship like that. Maybe if I opened my heart just a bit to other's. But Mother and Father would insult me if I ever brought one home.

But every night I go to sleep wondering what it would be like if I were more open hearted. Would I have more friends? Maybe Yes. Yes I would. But its so hard when you grow up the way I grew up. It's so hard to understand what to do. I want more friends, but i probably won't get more.

I have homework I should do. More than just sitting here...writing in an armchair. That's why I am in the library. So why do I always get distracted. I better go. Its distracting in here. Wish I were nicer.

Love You More,

The new letter is stuck to the front of the empty waste-bin using a thin slither of cellotape
Tina often found herself in the library, as of late. This was never so that she could do work, of course; the Hufflepuff only ever dossed about amongst the towering shelves, maybe with a very large book open in front of her that she could half-read, skipping over the numerous words she couldn't understand, eyes glazed over. She suspected that the main reason she always ended up in such a place was that it was so quiet. Peaceful, even. It almost made her want to get into reading, as she sat there taking in the smell of old pages, thumbing their crisp corners with her face propped up by one hand.

Typically, Tina could be found in a crowd. Sometimes at the centre, sometimes on the periphery, but always present, shouting and giggling and generally being as loud as possible. Nowadays, it was difficult to bring herself to do this. There was only so much she could motivate herself to do, whilst she was constantly being trodden on by what felt like everyone, even if that wasn't completely true.

Why was she so dislikeable?

Was it because she didn't have wizard parents? At her primary school, no one seemed to really care about them, or where they came from, or what they looked like. At Hogwarts it was different. Although that Slytherin prefect, Ruby, had insisted otherwise, blood-purists were very much a thing in the wizarding world, Tina had come to realise. It was so old fashioned, she couldn't help but think. The muggle world had moved on, from what she could tell, from all that discrimination jazz, and yet the magical one hadn't. Perhaps it wasn't such a fantastic place after all.

Today just so happened to be one of those day's that the idea of this was making her feel particularly upset, and so she had left the Great Hall without eating much in hopes of getting some down time. That was when it caught her eye.

Tina had always been particularly keen with her vision. Her eyes and other senses were sharp, noticing even the slightest change in environment or atmosphere. She considered herself a curious observer, as well, and couldn't help but wander over and inspect the screwed up paper in the tiny, otherwise empty, bin. When she unfolded it to read, however, she was greeted by the mournful ramblings of someone. Someone else who felt as lonely as she did. Not for one second did it click in her brain who it could be (whilst observant, the girl could be incredibly dense).

Her immediate response was to reply. It was, after all, written as a letter.

Tearing off a spare bit of parchment, Tina began to scribble in large, messy lettering.
HI THERE L!!! FEEL BETTER!!!!

Im struggling to read your handwriting a little bit You have very lovely handwriting. Im SO jealous. My handwriting looks like a drunk lady did it. HAHA!!!!!

I found your letter. I dont know if you'll find this but Im going to try and find an obbvius obvious place that's not so obvious that someone else will find it, but obvious enough that you will. It says you wrote this today so hopefully youll like come back or something.

Im sorry that your mum and papa would insult you if you took a girl home. its okay to be friends with girls if your a boy, it doesnt have to be love! If your a girl its also okay to be friends with girls. Im a girl and I have lots of girl friends and boy friends at home!! Im really sorry your parents wont let you, but maybe you can be nice to the person in secret? You obviously want to!!!! Frick your parents!! HAHA!!

If you want any advice I would be happy to give you some. We can even do it with code names if you want. You be L and I'll be Princess Peach (shes from a game called mario)!

Everything will be okay!!!
-Princess Peach
Satisfied with this response, Tina retrieved some cellotape from her pencil case (she hadn't had much of a chance to use it, since Hogwarts had its own preferences when it came to stationary, and these preferences weren't muggle products) and stuck her response to the front of the empty bin. Then, she tucked L's letter inside her robe pocket, and left the library.

Liz had not come to the library to have fun. She had come, during lunch might I add, to study for an upcoming test in one of her classes. She had first stopped by the lunch room and snagged a few sandwiches and some fruit, that she stuffed in her bag to sneak into the library, then made her way to the before mentioned place. Usually she loved the library. She loved the atmosphere and the books. Her favorite thing to do was to pick a random book to read. That is how she knew most of her information.

Today however, she was hunched over a table, nibbling on a sandwich, and writing down notes. It had been nearly 15 minutes of good note taking when a fat blob of mayo landed smack dab in the middle of her notes. Elizabeth stared for a moment before letting out a loud frustrated screech. The Librarian whipped their head up and shushed her very loudly. Liz glared but only picked up the paper and wadded it up. She threw it towards the trash can without really paying attention, expecting to get it in. She missed, like a dumb ass.

She huffed and went over to pick up the paper after setting her sandwich down. She was not however expecting to see and letter? taped to the bin. She curiously pulled it off and tossed her noted in the trash. She settled back down in her seat and slit it open. She was mortified. Someone had taken it upon themselves to read her self-pity letter and reply to it. Did they expect a letter back? Cause she wasn't gonna give them one.

That's what she told herself. But she begrudgingly found herself writing a letter back about 5 minutes later. The letter she had received had just been too sweet and funny to ignore.

Hello Princess Peach,
I read your response to my letter. I mean...it was private if that's what you were asking. But I see it's too late to worry about that and haha. Your handwriting is kinda bad. I find it endearing though. Not everyone can have good handwriting. It just takes practice to get better though

About the girls. No its more like I am a bully to these two girls for basically no reason. Well...I have a reason, but it's not really a good one. They are like really good friends and I wish I had a friendship like theirs, but that probably won't happen.

Is mario a muggle thing? I have never been allowed to play muggle games. Is it one of those... movie tv video game thingies? If so is it fun? I wish I had more to write, but yet again I have gotten distracted from my work. I literally dropped Mayo onto my notes that I had spent a long time writing and now I have to start all over. That is the only reason I found your response.

Sorry it took til the next day to find it! =)

Wednesday 7th October
When Tina returned to the library a couple days later to discover that her letter had disappeared from its spot, the weight on her chest lifted. Yesterday, it had been just where she left it, signalling that the mysterious 'L' (wasn't that some anime character?) had yet to find it. Today, however, it was gone, which could only mean one thing...

Well, it could mean a couple of things apparently: because upon closer inspection, whilst her letter had indeed seemingly vanished off of the face of the earth - or rather, the bin - there was no reply to take its place. Yes, her letter had been read, but it was more than likely already torn to angry shreds by her elusive correspondent, or binned by the librarian Robyn Finley. She wasn't sure which was worse. The only thing that discouraged the bubbling, embarrassed feeling in her stomach from rising to her eyes was the mildly comforting reminder that she'd been anonymous in her writings.

Admittedly, she did own a set of Princess Peach pyjamas which she frequented the Common Room in, and so could only hope that this 'L' wasn't of her own house or familiar with Nintendo characters.

It took Martyna much longer than she'd like to admit to find the letter. She had stumbled upon it by chance - something that was becoming increasingly common for these two girls - after dropping her pen under one of the library tables. When she'd slid under the table on her back and discovered the response barely clinging to the wood of the chair, she'd almost banged her head jumping up with excitement.
HI Im litterly so sorry it took me so long to reply to you my cat died I couldnt find it I lost all my pens and stuff

you sound a little tiny bit mean. Its not okay to bully other people because you are jealous!! As paris Hilton says: "jealousy is a disease get well soon!!!" ...I think it's funny but I don't know if you get it. Do celebrities have wizards have celebrities? Also did you go to primary school? we did loads of stuff about how bullying isnt okay. I reccomend you do some reesearch!

Mario is a game! Hes a mustash musstache mustache plumber guy that saves Peach! I only have mario kart but its really fun and I play with my sisters all the time! If you can convinse your parents to buy a wii you should!

You are NOT a turd! Also I dont think blood really matters because now Ive met you and you seem nice. Before I only knew mean horrible "pure bloods" but its nice to know that not all of you are bad. Maybe if you show me some magic pure things I can show you more things like paris Hilton and mario and we can share interests!

Also I think we should stick to one place now because otherwise it might get lost. AKA this chair.

Ti PRINCESS PEACH
With that, Tina stuck the letter of messy scrawl to the underside of the chair, and was on her way.

Liz had been way too excited about finding the response. Of course she had other friends, but the lure of learning about the muggle world (even though she hated them. Yeah, totally hates them) had been too much for her to bear. She checked the library almost everyday, only skipping it once the day previous. Of course that had been the day that a response was left. Liz sat in an armchair and curled up, gripping the piece of parchment in her hands. She smiled widely. She couldn't wait to read it and was also scared to at the same time. She felt guilty because muggle-borns were supposed to be underneath her, and here she was talking to one.

She quickly started to read after the thought.

Hehe, that's okay. I put it somewhere hard to find. At least you were able to find it.

I know it's not nice to bully, but it's hard to stop when it's how you have been raised. I want to stop I think, but I don't know. It's hard. Who's Paris Hilton? Is she a muggle? I get what she is saying, but no I don't like.. GET it get it. Wizards have many celebrities. Like a long time ago there was a big old war and there are many wizards from then that most wizards know. You should do some reading in history books. It is very interesting! And no I did not. I was homeschooled from age 5.

A game? So a video game? Peach? Like the fruit? What is a wei wie wii? Or mario kart? You have sisters? I have like 8 siblings. I think. I lost count.

I would love to be friends with you!!!! You seem very nice! I would love to teach you about the wizarding world!!! And I defenetly want to learn about the muggle world! It seems very facinateoing Fascinating!!

With that she put it back and left, a smile on her face.
