Time: Sept. 4, Friday
Altair walked through the corridors to get back to her dorm. It had been a long Friday, and she planned to take a long break, in bed. Her Charms class had been very fun, and enjoyable. The only problem was her Transfiguration class. That could use some work. Only a few other students lined the hallways, either looking to go somewhere, or just have a friendly chat. Some of them waved her over to join their conversations, or talk about homework, but she shook her head, she was too tired today to do anything. She walked at a moderate pace, fast enough not to encourage conversation and slow enough so she would not be out of breath.
She was not quite feeling to urge to do her homework today, she would save it for tomorrow. The rooms lining the corridor beckoned her in. Unexplored, many of them. The thrill of adventure pricked her up a bit, and she didn't feel the same tiredness, but it went away when she reminded herself not to. She was focused on going back to her dorm, and back she would go.
Altair was most of the ways to the stairs down when she felt a quick tap on her shoulder. She turned around, "Yes?"

After her welcoming feast shenanigans, Lizzie was feeling confident about approaching random people in the halls. On the first Friday of term, when she was feeling particularly adventurous, the redhead took her newfound confidence and ran with it. Quite literally. She sprinted down from Gryffindor Common Room, ended up on the second floor as per usual, and proceeded to look for her next victim friend.
Hmm... Who to choose... Who to choose... Although there were many students in the corridors, none gave off the vibe Lizzie was looking for. It didn't help that she didn't know what type of "vibe" she was looking for, but no one seemed to have the right one anyways. She wandered up and down the corridor multiple times before she spotted a dark-haired girl in Hufflepuff robes. After watching the girl for a second, it was clear the girl was either paranoid or was having the same adventurous urges that Lizzie was having.
The redhead jogged a little to catch up with the Hufflepuff and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Yes?"
Lizzie smiled at her and quickly replied, "This is going to sound a little strange, but do you want to explore the castle, y'know, to see if the professors added any extra corridors over the summer?"

Altair turned around, to see a Gryffindor girl ask her if she wanted to explore the castle a bit. She couldn't say she was surprised, weren't Gryffindors known for being adventurous? She pondered over the question in her head.
First, she thought about turning down the offer, saying she was too tired today, had too many things to do, and didn't have enough time to go exploring with her. That was mostly true at least, it would be easier to tell her that and not feel troubled.
Altair played with the idea of joining her for a moment. She wasn't that tired. Certainly she had some extra time to do some adventuring? Even before the girl had showed up, her head was already starting to convince her to do some poking around.
It was final, her dorm could wait. After all, it wasn't every day that someone asked you to explore with them. And anything done with a partner, was fun. Especially exploring.
"Um, yeah, sure. That sounds fun!" Altair leaned her books against the wall. "Do you have any ideas of where to go first?" there were many doors along the corridor, and all seemed to hold potential as their first destination.

The redhead's smile faltered a little as she saw the tiredness in the Hufflepuff's face. Although she wouldn't be crushed if the dark-haired girl turned down her offer to explore the castle, she would be disappointed. Of course, she'd understand and wouldn't hold it against her. She'd have to go find another person to ask, though, and look like a creepy stalker for the second time that day. The things she did for an adventure. A true Gryffindor she was, adventure-loving and brave enough to go talk to random students. That wasn't true. Bravery comes in all different forms, and not every Gryffindor has the bravery to talk to random people.
When the girl agreed, Lizzie's eyes lit up and she did a little jump, clapping her hands softly. "Yess~" she exclaimed softly, her mind already brainstorming various places to explore. She wasn't quite sure she'd be able to find all the places to go nor that she'd be able to find her way back to her common room afterward, but she was sure that she'd have a fun time doing it all. "To be honest, I don't really have any specific places in mind," she admitted, quickly glancing around the corridor to see if there was anything noteworthy around them.
Aha! They could go look in *that* room! Which room, you ask? Good question, considering how many rooms lined the corridor. "We could go peek in some of the rooms over there," she suggested, motioning towards some of the doors on the opposing side of the corridor.
