Embracing The Beast
It was almost that time again. The Full moon was coming, as it always did and Kyle was suffering the effects of pre-transformation like he always did. He hadn't slept in three days now, his skin was clammy and the dark under his eyes was quite noticeable. Not to mention an almost feral look in his eye as he was practically burning up inside.
After his winter break, when he returned to the school he abandoned his Team. His captain badge smashed and thrown into the lake, his Quidditch robe torn and stuffed in a trash bin. He made his try to better himself by being a leader, by trying to guide his team. But that was a waste of time, a failure just like his other attempts to be a better person.
As he paced back and forth infront of the cracked mirrors, his boots scuffing the tile he was growing more and more frustrated. He could feel the best inside of him clawing to get out, to run wild, to break shit. With a frustrated Snarl her turned towards the mirrors and leaned on one of the sinks, and looked at his reflection.
A dirty white shirt, his increasingly worn leather jacket, ratty jeans. all signs of what he was. run down. With a grimace he grabbed hold of his necklace and pulled out from under his shirt. A silver bullet on a chain, a sign to him about needing to kill the beast. Pulling his shirt down some he saw the red and agitated skin the bullet pressed against, the Silver leaving its mark. And then his eye caught the edges of his bite scar and he scowled.
Maybe all this time...he has been going about this the wrong way. Why does he keep fighting his nature...who and what he is? it always ends in pain and frustration. He is a trouble maker, a hooligan, a fighter...And he is also a werewolf.
After all...Silver hurts monsters. And it isnt the werewolf his necklace hurts. It's him. So why keep fighting what he is? why not just...
"FUCK!" he shouts as he punches the mirror, cutting his knuckles on the glass.
He grabbed hold of the sink with both hands as he hunched his shoulders and hung his head, staring into the dirty sink.

Once more Opeila had been on her way to the west tower, to send a letter home. The first letter in a very long time. Normaly she only went to the owlery to find some privacy, maybe ponder a little about things without being asked if she was alright. She appreciated that some people at least pretended to care- second thoughts, no, she didn't. If people didn't actually want to know, didn't even have a reason to want to, she'd appreciate them to kindly bugger off.
The Slytherin wanted to talk to someone who she knew was giving the best advice. Her grandmother.
It was, when she walked past the abandoned toilets, whe she heard a scream.
The girl froze where she was and turned to the door. She knew by now, that she was unlikely to meet a ghost behind that door, so this was probably a student. And apparently not a happy one.
Opeila thought. Regarding her previous luck, she wouldn't even be surprised, if there was someone in there, who'd attack her.
Or maybe an angry dhampir? Who knew?
Or maybe she was actually lucky for once.
Opeila walked over to the door and quietly opened the door. There was a boy, staring into one of the sinks.
"Hey, uh... Can I help you somehow? I could hear you from the other side of the corridor, so uh... You might scare off some first years." Ha. Ha. Why did she just say that again?

Kyle slowly turned his head to look at the girl who had just entered. She was small and skinny, and he wasn't entirely sure why she bothered to come in here towards his sudden yell.
"Hey, uh... Can I help you somehow? I could hear you from the other side of the corridor, so uh... You might scare off some first years."
He blinked as she spoke to him. She couldn't possibly be serious. He had to have been roughly twice her size, cut and bleeding knuckles, a face scar and he looked somewhere between half dead or freshly buried corpse. He ran his un-cut hand through his hair to push it out of his eyes before he turned to face her fully, taking a few steps towards her as he furrowed his brow and tilted his head to side, as if he was trying to figure her out
when he spoke, his Irish accent us unmistakable "Might scare some first years? Well fuck me that would be awful wouldn't it" he grumbled, half to her and half to himself. "Or maybe, That's what Id like, yeah? To scare people off so they don't bother me. You think that might be a possibility?"
He turned on his heel and took a few steps away, shaking his head and muttering to himself under his breath. He stops and takes a deep breath and turns back around again to face her, his grey blue eyes locking onto hers. "What the hell about me do you see, that says it's a good idea to bother me? I gotta know, so I can change it" as he speaks he takes a few steps towards her, his hands closing into fists

His answer almost made her wince. Watch your language. She could only just stop herself from saying that. She despised the use of curses to prove something. What even? Strength? Anger? No need to violate language for it, right?
Luckily her answer was very calm.
"If you don't want people to bother you, why would you draw their attention to you?"
She looked at the Gryffindor. He was a true giant, she'd probably feel very nervous, if she didn't have her wand with her this time. She didn't know a lot of spells, but enough to defend herself. Right?
Also, if she was honest, Deathmote with his kryptical nonsense had been more discomforting.
She looked at the cuts on one of his hands. Had he hit the mirror? She had before, and it had not been the cleverest thing to do.
The boy turned around to look at her, his grey blue eyes locking onto her green ones.
He asked her, what had made her think that it was a good idea to join him, so he could change it.
"Well. There was your shouting, then there's the blood and the cuts on your hands, and your biting like a cornered dog, when I offered my help. All things that rather make you seem like you could use some help." Opeila leaned against the wall next to the door.

On the way to the study room the third year was, the soles of her shoes padding rhythmically against the cobbled floors, only for them to be stopped by the sudden loud shatter that reverberated through the hallway. Her books still clutch in one arm, Aurelia pivoted one a single foot, turning in the direction from where the sound came from. The Abandoned Bathrooms. Nothing great happened within the walls of the abandoned lavatory, after all, it was in that very vicinity during her second year when the dhampir whom she now abhorred nearly severed her arm.
The padding of her footsteps continues once again, this time, advancing towards the abandoned bathrooms rather than the initial destination. The words sounding from the other side of the bathroom's closed doors were muffled, hindering her from identifying the situation lurking within the room and more so if it was necessary for her to intervene. The tone of the aggressor, however, was far from a docile one. Sure, Aurelia no longer a prefect and whatever that was going on behind the doors before her could be none of her concern, but after the last rampage, Aurelia knew better than to walk away.
This better not be a Monster, the only thought that ran through the Gryffindor's head as she pushed the door open and took a step through the threshold. She had walked straight into the scene and the first few things that caught her attention was the few splotched of crimson on the putrid bathroom's floor: blood. Gryffindor's ex-captain, Kyle Derook, stood dangerously close to a smaller girl. Fortunately, the girl who wore the colours of Slytherin was not at all hurt, and more so, unhurt. Then her analysing gaze found the source of the blood. Unlike the girl, Derook had a bloody fist.
"You might want to head up to the infirmary," Aurelia finally announced her presence. "Or if you would prefer, I could use a spell." She added, a palm slipping into the bag that slung by her side and surfaced with the thin wooden instrument. Healing the boy was one thing, the possibility of having to defend herself -- or the girl for that matter -- was another. The cause of the boy's aggravation was still a fact left for her to uncover, from the whole scenario, it was unlikely that the small girl was the culprit.
"Should I even ask?" it was a simple question that left her lips in an assertive and authoritative tone.
