Illowy panted, adrenaline rushing through her as she held onto the chipped and stained porcelain sinks with white knuckles, starting at herself in the cracked mirror. Pale eyes flickered over each feature of her face.

Magnards do not start fights.
Magnards do not cause a scene.

Her mother's words echoed through her as the memory played through her mind.

She'd been minding her own business. She hadn't done anything. Apparently her very existence as a pure blooded Slytherin was crime enough. Led on by the bully who hadn't left her alone since the beginning of first year, the small pack of Muggles and Half Bloods clearly were looking for some entertainment. Illowy had always done her best not to fight with them. To just take what they dished out to her and not give them any confirmation to the terrible assumptions they made about her, her house or her family.

Something in her, however, in the midst of being pushed and hit, snapped. She had had enough. The girl had totally lept onto the leader, letting fists fly, numb to any hit that landed against her own body. She was running on a high of pure anger and adrenaline.

The girl had seen plenty of fights, especially around Kyle. Perhaps watching the fight, one might've seen a resemblance between the pair. And being so small, it wasn't hard to put Illowy on the ground; but she kept getting up anyway until she managed to take the other girl down to the ground, absolutely wailing on her with everything she had until the other girls finally jerked her off and tossed her aside like a ragdoll.

By that point, some sort of sense must've kicked into her as she ran from the scene until she found herself here. An absolute mess, she was. Dark curls were tangled and wild. There was blood on her jumper, though she wasn't sure if it was her's or the other girls. Bruises were starting for form on her face and skin alone side various cuts and scrapes.

Part of her wanted to cry, another part wanted to laugh from the liberation of finally standing up to herself. In the end, she wound up simply sitting down on the filthy stone will her head back against the wall, tired and feeling the aches and pains starting to settle into her body as the adrenaline ran its course from her.

At least she could say she won her first fight.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

Astrid had been strolling around, as she normally did when being at Hogwarts and having some time to spare. She hadn't really known what else to do in her free time, but she knew that this place had way too many staircases and rooms.

Her light, hoppy steps stopped every so often, echoing down the halls with the creak of a door. Then, the door could be heard closing, and the hopping continued. Astrid peered into the room, temporarily taken back that there actually was a person in the room. She stepped fully into the room, taking in its sad appearance of a dusty bathroom that had seen enough disasters and fits. Whether of anger or sadness, most seemed to have left some mark on the tiles and mirrors.

She finally decided to look at the girl after 15 seconds of just staring around the room. While it felt awkward for Astrid, she didn't really know what the other girl felt. She was crouched down by a wall, and it seemed that she would easily be taller than Astrid if she were to stand up. But most people were taller than Astrid. Purple and black splotches started to form themselves on the girls. It hadn't been a scene Astrid had expected, but it didn't feel unusual in this place of witchcraft and wizardry. Enough diverse backgrounds that, of course, some violence would certainly occur.

"You okay? Y'a seem a bit banged up." Astrid's American accent was easily apparent as she stepped a little more off to the side. She didn't want to be directly in the way of escape should this girl feel it was necessary.

"What happened?"

Of all things not to be, Halston definitely did not want to be a creep. But she was also wondering if she was considered a creep for staring where she had already been looking, just that the person she had been looking at hadn't noticed her yet and probably was never going to notice her unless she said or did something.

Over time Halston Wright had found out how quiet and peaceful the Anand Toilets could be when everywhere else was too loud, in sound or appearance. The place was dingy, dirty, dusty, and any other derogatory word one could put on the place. But Halston didn't grow up caring for appearances. It was all about the concept or meaning of something, and to put it simple this place, in the corner of the second furthest stall on the right, had become her second home.

Her entire family would look down on her even more than she thought was possible if they found out where she spent her free time. But although Halston cared about what they thought of her, when it came to her personal choices that only affected her, she did not care. They wouldn't brood of this for longer than a half an hour anyway.

So Halston was sitting in this corner with her Book of Spells, thinking and daydreaming, when someone burst into the room. She sat up with a startle, heart racing as she wondered who it could be. This was mostly because it could be a professor, Prefect, or student, and besides that, they could be either male or female. Halston had come to considering that after an unforeseen situation.

She had been peeking absentmindedly through the cracks in the stall and all she could see was a blur of light skin, dark hair, and enough information for her to realize that the person was a girl. That relieved her a little, but Halston still felt weary, especially because they seemed to upset.

No, upset wasn't the correct word. The girl was distraught , Halston could tell by how unput-together she was at the moment, and she wasn't just talking about her appearance. Besides the blood and the disheveled clothing, Halston managed to see the wild look in her eyes, all from the safety of her corner.

But she was really beginning to feel like a creep, watching from the shadows. She was contemplating making her presence known when another person came into the lavatories. Halston sucked in her breath, watching as this new person, another girl, questioned the first girl in concern. Halston wished she had done the same thing instead of just sitting there, but she was scared.

Of what? She looks like she's done fighting for the day anyway, she told herself, blushing. Halston squeezed her knees harder, her fingernails biting into her skin. But she didn't budge, just continued to look on.

American accents were a rare occurrence most of the time. However, that had changed drastically since the Exchange students had come from across the sea. It called her attention quickly as she looked the stranger over. The girl certainly seemed younger then her... or maybe most American's just appeared to not be much more the wee things.

All the same, Illowy swallowed hard and shook a hand through her mess of curls before nodding, "Yeah, I'm fine... just a bit of a scrap. Its all done and taken care of now..." she muttered, clearing her throat before getting back to her feet. The girl wasn't quite as tall as one might thing. At one point, the girl's five-foot-two-inch form towered over her age group, but she hadn't grown so much as half a centimeter since she was ten. She was quite slim of frame, and lithe with dark, confused locks that didn't seem sure if they wanted to curl or wave, so she usually left them to their own devices.

"You really shouldn't be in here..." she spoke in her Irish accent, "You never know what's lurking around in the abandoned bathroom... you should really go back to where ever you're suppose to be." it wasn't meant as a jab that the girl ought to go back to her own country or anything; truly Illowy couldn't care less about their American visitors. Mostly, it was just a remark to get the girl to leave her be. The snake never was very good at making friends.

At this point, she still wasn't aware of the young Griffindor who was hiding back away from plain view.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

She sighed, shaking her head. While the injuries might not have hurt the girl anymore, it was still important to make sure all wounds were clean. At least, that's what Astrid had been taught, although she had always thought it to be a little overkill for some of the small cuts she had recieved. But her parents were protective.

"I doubt I'll ever know what's lurking anywhere in Hogwarts. Ilvermorny's probably not much better." Astrid wouldn't have noticed the other girl either. She glanced back at the girl, not entirely sure if she was a first or second year. But the other girl still stood almost a foot above Astrid. It was one of the few moments were Astrid felt anything bad about her 8-year old size, despite being 11. But the other girl looked to be in a worse condition, considering Astrid hadn't gotten herself into a fight, so she decided to keep talking to her, despite the other girl's obvious want for her to leave.

"Why did you go here, anyways? Don't you guys have, like, a medical wing? Is this place common for lost or broken souls?" Astrid raised a brow, trying to find what could be inviting about this place. The simple idea of being alone? A break from the rest of the world? To her, it didn't seem like the greatest place for mental breakdowns or whatever else had gone on around here.

On the occasion that Millie got days off from school, and hanging out with friends, she took her cat and walked around the castle. It wasn't often, so she never really recorded her findings, and often, she visited the same places. That being said, she did enjoy walking around with her cat.

Today, her and Honey were on the second floor. Honestly, Honey was leading Millie to wherever the giant cat wanted to go. She didn't mind, though, it was quieter than usual. Most people were studying for classes, or just enjoying the cool weather before it got freezing.

To her surprise, Honey turned and began walking down the halls to where the Abandoned Toilets were. Millie, though confused, followed her cat. The fluffy kitty knew where to go much better than the girl did.

She hadn't expected to see anything, much less two people. One of them, she was familiar with, and the other, she had no clue who it was. The girl she did recognize was a Slytherin girl who Millie had spoken to a few times, Illowy. She was the cousin of her Quidditch captain, as well.

Illowy looked distraught, and the other girl was trying to comfort her. Millie picked up Honey and walked in.

"Illowy! Are you okay?" She walked over to her friend, still holding her cat. "Holy shit what happened?"

Halston licked her chapped lips. The situation was becoming far from boring. There was a girl fresh from a fight, an American girl who didn't look like or sound like she came from Hogwarts, and now another girl, with her cat, who seemed to know this first girl. And Halston noticed all of this from her corner of the bathroom, still unnoticed.

It was like watching through a crack in wall, a crack that no one on the outside could see. She felt weird just watching; at this point she actually wanted to leave the bathroom, or at least change position, but she also didn't want to be seen by anyone. If enough people came in she might be able to slip out the room but she didn't want to risk being noticed, not at all.

Halston was feeling cramped, which made her shift her legs a bit. She was resting on her feet in a crouch position, making sure not to touch the toilets which smelled really bad. It was foul for her to be where she was but if she ignored the smells and embraced the silence it wasn't that bad.

She also wondered why the girl, who seemed to be named 'Illowy', had come here, of all places. But maybe she had been running away from someone. No matter, Halston just leaned a little closer to hear better; things were getting interesting.

Illowy opened her mouth to speak as to why she hadn't gone to the Hospital Wing when the last person she wanted to burst into the bathroom did just that. Millie. Of all people why Millie?

Of course the snake liked the Griffindor girl well enough, however this just tacked onto what seemed to be an ever growing list of low points the girl was finding Illowy in. Not only that, but she was on the same team her cousin was the captain of, and the last thing she wanted was Kyle getting upset at her over this whole kerfuffle, "I'm fine, Millie. Really." she said quickly wiping at her bleeding lip with her sleeve and just trying to make herself look less roughed up then she was.

Truthfully, she was starting to feel a bit over whelmed between Millie already working herself up and some American questioning her choice of hiding. Icy hues flicked back to the exchange student, "Look, the last place I'm about to go in the bloody Hospital Wing. I don't need it and I don't need interrogating by the nurse over what happened. I'm fine." she spoke firmly, if not a bit coldly; her usual defense mechanism of trying to seem tougher then she felt and attempt to scare off anyone without the balls to handle it.

Stony gaze then drifted back to her friend. Why was it Millie always seemed to be able to find her when she was either mentally or physically battered up? "Millie, I swear if you say anything about this to Rook..." she wasn't even prepared to end that potential threat with any real promise, but she would be upset. The last thing she wanted was for Kyle to be worried about her, both because she knew he'd be upset about it as well as her not telling him she was dealing with bullying in the first place. She still felt deep shame about it, and it felt like her battle to fight alone. Kyle had more important things to worry about.

Astrid winced, scratching the back of her head. The odd thing was that it just occured to her that it wasn't the best idea to be questioning the harmed girl. For one, questioning itself was just annoying and potentially awkward. The other girl was also injured, therefore potentially worsening the interrogation?

"Yeah, sorry 'bout that. Grew up with brothers." Deciding that she had waited long enough, she turned around to see the other person who had just walked in. She was significantly taller than Astrid, with almost purple eyes. She also had a cat. Astrid blinked a few times, feeling increasingly awkward, before kind of waving at the girl. She let the small conversation between the two happen, realizing that she know knew some form of both of their names. She blinked again, not entirely sure what to do.

"Rook? Who's Rook?" She muttered to herself, although the question could easily be heard by others if they truly wanted to hear what little the small girl had to say. Of course, assuming the attention was on the injured one, no one would notice the question.

"So, um, nice cat. You two seem to know each other. Just clean up the cuts with some water, cover the bruises if you need to, and.. that's all for physical injuries." Astrid blushed, very much unsure if she should truly be here anymore. But she was a meddler, so she decided that she would stay until one of them clearly told her that she needed to leave.

Luna was in a foul mood when she stormed into the abandoned toilets. Not that she would ever use the toilets they were disgusting. No, She was here because of the tadpoles.

After detention she was going to mail the letter she had prepared breaking the news to her father that she had been placed into Hufflepuff not Slytherin no doubt humiliating him to an early grave.

However now that she found herself covered by the wriggling demons a quick wash up would be required. They covered her hands and cheeks even some making their home in her hair.

Not wanting to give anyone the ability to tell Dorthy how miserable the punishment had made her she decided the abandoned toilets would be her best bet to clean herself off without too much snickering or scrutiny from any student that might think a first year fresh off the train already having detention being worthy of a good “looking down on.” Being in Hufflepuff was bad enough. Luna didn’t need a nickname like “Tadpole Tamer” plaguing her for her time at Hogwarts as well.

”Stupid Dorthy..make me scrub tadpole covered sheets...Hope you still think it’s funny when they end up in your bed tonight along with a bag of angry pixies you cow..” She grumbled to herself throwing on the sink and washing her hands and face.

The water smelled terrible but it was a small price to pay for privacy and a tadpole free face and hands. She was going to begin to start on her hair when she felt eyes on her.

It seemed she had been so wrapped up in her own trials and tribulations she hadn’t notice the abandoned toilets contrary to the name were quite inhabited by more than one person. She freezing midway into removing a tadpole from her hair she turned to them with her eyes wide and her cheeks flushing slightly in embarrassment.

One looked shaken and had blood on her jumper. Luna had heard of a fight happening recently. She had been sorry to have missed it. Apparently it had been quite the scene.

“Um..Sorry. Didn’t realize this was such a social hub..” She said softly if not with a slightly annoyed edge to it.

What me worry?
