Acquainting in the Abandoned Toilets
Constantine, albeit hesitantly, pushed open the door. Out of all the places in Hogwarts, he'd never expect that the Abandoned Toilets would be his go-to hideout. His hands, now grimy from the handle, were hastily wiped on his robe. It could be worse in here, he though to himself, as he peered around the rather barren scene before him. Constantine strode to the middle of the room, his footsteps echoing on the cracked tile flooring. Pretty much everything was either damaged, or decaying. Curiously pushing open a stall door, Constantine was met with a horrible screech, the groan of it's hinges as it buckled under it's own weight. Shortly after, the lock came off in his hands. Perhaps he had spoken too soon. Constantine dropped the brittle metal to the floor with a clatter, before moving to the surprisingly elaborate display of sinks.
The tap was rusted, and stiff in his hand. Constantine attempted to apply force, only to recoil in surprise after the water had come spluttering out. He laughed at his own apprehensiveness; why was he suddenly so anxious? It's not like he was doing anything illegal, and even if he had been, there was no one around to tell on him. Besides Moaning Myrtle of course, the apparent ghost that resided in the toilets, however he wasn't in the least concerned. Constantine had met the Fat Friar whilst in the Great Hall, and he had been quite the jovial fellow. Maybe it was a little naive of him to think that all ghosts were the same, however 'Moaning Myrtle' wasn't exactly a frightening title.
Ridding himself of his dirty robe, Constantine decided to try and remove the angry stain that had taken up residence on his sleeve. Occasionally, he'd stop what he was doing, imagining that he'd heard another student walking along the corridor outside. After all, it'd be difficult to explain why he'd chosen some grotty, derelict toilet instead of the many other, cleaner variants that Hogwarts had to offer.
