A Midday Meeting for Mischief and Mayhem Closed

A few hours before...

Dmitri Jones sighed and yawned for nth time as the History of Magic teacher continued to drone on about a certain revolt of a certain creature of a certain race. Whatever way the subject was taught and whoever taught it, the subject matter itself was nothing that would perk the interest of 11 year-olds with 15 minute attention spans. It wasn't even necessarily the fault of the professor--the current one was actually pretty great at teaching (although some say the one before him--a ghost--was entirely hell). History of Magic, plain and simple, was just not... flashy.

The raven-haired boy kept looking at the clock above the chalkboard and the door alternately and he'd probably swear, if you asked him, that time goes slower in the HoM classroom. If it wasn't for this cycle of clock-door-clock-door, he wouldn't have seen a male student sneak shockingly stealthily into the classroom. The newcomer was absolutely brilliant in the way he crouched and somehow "danced" across the room towards an empty seat in the far back--all the while going unnoticed by his classmates and the professor--whose nose was currently buried in Hogwarts: A History, reading an excerpt from the text. As their eyes met, the raven-haired boy realized that he might have found one of his most beneficial potential allies.

Just in time, because just as Dmitri started to become immersed in his mind about what the other boy could contribute to an elaborate plan he has been concocting in his head for quite some time, the Professor slammed his book closed and declared the class dismissed. Almost immediately, the stealthy boy leapt to his feet and maneuvered through the crowd of exiting students. Dmitri had to shove aside a few sleepy students to catch up to the other boy.

"Hey! Wait up!" He called out as he saw the other boy almost already halfway down the hallway. The raven-haired boy jogged to him and handed him a crumpled piece of paper.

On it was written:
"Interested in Business? Meet me in the Abandoned Toilets at midday.
-D.K.J"

Later...

It was noon at the Hogwarts Castle and the Second Floor corridors were deserted. Everybody was in the Great Hall currently eating lunch.

Well... not everybody.

For in the empty hallway, a certain Slytherin boy was slinking down its length, keeping close to the stone-brick walls and trying not to make a sound. Dmitri Kazimir Jones was as quiet as a mouse as he ducked behind armor-stands, tiptoed across doors, and shimmied into tight spaces--just to be hidden.

Honestly, it was so unbecoming of him to be this ungraceful--traversing the hallway hunched over and hiding--when he'd much rather journey across the corridor with his head held high. No 11 year-old wizard of his status should be made to feel awkward (although he should see all the other students in his year. The amount of awkwardness.... *shiver*). It probably didn't help when the hallway was absolutely empty, his efforts entirely in vain.

Resisting the urge to topple over a set of armor in righteous anger, Dmitri straightened and brushed off his robes, finally able to lift his chin up as he pushed open the creaky door to the Abandoned Toilets where he was going to meet his future business partner.

If you can't beat 'em, nerf 'em.

As Dmitri opened the door he was greeted by a seemingly empty room. It seemed that his possible business partner had not arrived yet. As such it would probably come as a large shock to him when right behind him he heard someone speak. Even if he had heard no one approach.

"Greetings, you wanted to speak business ?" The boy that had suddenly appeared behind him said. Quickly getting to the point of the meeting. His hands would be behind his back as he further analyzed Dmitri and his reaction to suddenly appearing behind him, both the physical and mental one.

Mentally Alex was both cackling a little maliciously as he felt his heartbeat rise as he began to enter the realm of intrigue. It just seemed to be so exciting and it already seemed fun though Alex would keep his facial features blank except for a miniscule raising of the lips.

Still Alex would feel a little nervous and whilst not touching it, he felt more assured by the wand in his wrist holder. As such if mr. Jones tried to attack him he would get the first draw. He knew it was a smart investment to get a wrist holder. A quick draw of the wand could be essential in some situations. And he most assuredly did not want to be the person who put his or her wand simply in their pockets. The impracticality was astounding when he watched those people.

But back to the matter at hand Alex put his mind once again into place and would watch mr. Jones for any physical or mental signs to see if he was disturbed by his sudden appearance behind him. Which Alex had to admit was pretty funny to do.

Memory is all we are. Moments and feelings, captured in amber, strung on filaments of reason. Take a man’s memories and you take all of him. Chip away a memory at a time and you destroy him as surely as if you hammered nail after nail through his skull
