Toilet Therapy
The school year was finally coming to an end. Voices of excited students filled the Great Hall with the various pleasant plans they had for the summer break. Sitting at the Ravenclaw table, Jorah was a desolate island surrounded by a sea of happy students. It had been a difficult first year for the boy, having nearly died on more than one occasion. His friends hadn't been so lucky, one developed PTSD and left the school, the other had passed away. The laughter of his peers only made him feel more alone in his despair. He couldn't be here.
Pushing himself up, Jorah left the table and quietly exited the Great Hall with his head down. The boy focused on his feet and walked until the sounds of celebration were replaced by his foot steps on the stone below. He needed to be alone. Walking up a flight of stairs, he stole away into the only room he thought would be empty. The door to the abandoned toilets creaked loudly as he entered the forgotten room. Hello? Is anyone here? He was answered only by the sound of intermittent dripping from a leaky sink faucet. Good. Jorah made his way to a corner stall, sat down, and closed the door. The quiet stillness of the room was now disturbed the sniffling of a boy as he began to cry.

Toilet Therapy
Opeila had only recently realized how soon this year would be over. It almost seemed surreal, she had kind of expected not to survive her first year. It was no happy feeling though.
Opeila felt tired. Empty. It felt like Hogwarts, all of it's wonders and horrors had ripped a hole in her chest and made itself a home there. She was aware, that in her second year all that fear and maybe even more would come back, but she didn't want it to leave her.
She would go home for summer. See her grandmother again and her father, probably visit her mother in the St Mungos. Live in a house that would be just as empty of life as she felt.
Opeila felt lost. She had felt lost for ages. Like she was falling down an endless hole with no one to catch her, no possibility to catch herself.
Flash would try to catch her, probably. But she had put too many of her worries on him already. How could she share her burdens with him, when he had to carry his own...
She could not. She had to grow up and fight for herself.
Maybe in the end, Burnett was right. Friends would make you feel safe. And eventually they will have control over you. They can break you easier than an enemy can.
Opeila knew, if Flash decided to drop her, she would be lost. Yes, she had lived without him before, but she had given him control. She had learned to love him. Nothing she could make undone...
And then there was Percival, sweet, kind Percival, who made her heart beat faster every time she looked at him.
He was her sunshine. How could she ever bring her shadows over him? She couldn't.
Opeila had found some privacy in the abandoned bathroom. During the year, it had been a save room for many students, she had realised, but so short before the end of the year, there was mainly excitement in the castle. No one needed to hide.
The Slytherin sat down in one of the toilet cabines, locked the door and leaned against the wall. Stared at the dirty door.
Felt sorry for herself. She hated it, but she couldn't help it. It was so unfair.
When someone entered, she froze. Held her breath. A male voice asked if there was someone in there. It was a young voice, first year like her, or maybe second year.
Opeila did not answer. Maybe the boy would leave again if she just remained quiet.
Instead he entered the stall next to her. And soon started to cry. Opeila did not say anything for a while. She had always had a problem with seeing or hearing other people cry and this boy's crying sounded just as sad, as alone as she felt. Soon silent tears streamed down the girl's cheeks as well.
Eventually she couldn't bare it anymore. She sniffed quietly, before starting to talk.
"Hey you..." Her voice broke and she cleared her throat. "A rough year that was, huh?" More tears found their way down to her chin, while she waited for the boy's answer. She would not push him. If he did not want to talk, she would not try again.

Head in his hands, Jorah released the flood gates. He cried until he could taste the salt of his tears on his lips, then he cried some more. As his head began throbbing in pain, he pressed in his temples. He sat there for a few minutes sniffling at the snot escaping from his nose. Then he head something unexpected, "Hey you...," a cracking voice from the next stall over. "A rough year that was, huh?" Jorah nearly used his toilet for real. His heart raced in panic, a surge of anxious energy shot through his body. Who is that?!? How long have they been there? He quickly rubbed away the snot and tears with his sleeve, trying his best to hide all evidence that he had been crying. He paused for a moment. It was a girl's voice, maybe someone he met but he didn't know for sure. Did she know it was me? As he calmed down, he realized there was something wrong with her voice. Was she sad as well?
Jorah leaned over and peered under the privacy wall. He saw a pair of shoes, there was indeed someone sitting in the stall next to him. Jorah cleared his throat to address his mysterious companion. "Uhh hey, I'm sorry about *sniffle* I thought I was alone. Yea, this year was...he fought back a new wave of tears and his voice cracked slightly....it was not good." A short pause. "Why didn't you answer me when I came in? Why are you here?"

Opeila waited. Like she had expected, the crying next to her had stopped.
She almost felt bad for not answering when the boy asked if anyone was there. The Slytherin had hoped that he would leave again then.
The boy didn't answer for a while. Opeila stared at her feet. Through the small gap under the wall that seperated them, she saw a shadow move. Was he... looking through the gap? Opeila could only just stop herself from pulling up her feet.
Then the boy answered to her. He seemed uncomfortable about being emotional, he apologized, probably for crying. He had thought he was alone.
The boy asked why Opeila had not answered when he asked if someone was there. Why she was there.
"It's okay. I guess if there is a place where we can let ourselves go a little, it is here.", she said and wiped some tears of her cheeks. "Sorry for not answering. I... I didn't want to be found. I guess that is the same what you wanted."
She paused for a moment. "But if you want to talk about... whatever weighs on you, feel free to do so. I have no idea who you are."
It was a strange offer somehow. She felt weird about it. But she would listen to him if he wanted to talk about it.
