Ready, Set, Brew!
Place: Abandoned Toilets
Time: 08:34 PM
Time: 08:34 PM
The Abandoned Toilets was not what Dot expected, at all. As soon as she had heard the word 'abandoned' followed by 'toilets', an image had propped in her head. A small toilet, much like any other found in Hogwarts, with broken sinks and a cobweb here and there.
But not in a million years did Dot expect this mess in front of her. She stood straight at the entrance, hands on her hips while her long, straight dark brown hair went down her back in her signature hairstyle. A small pout graced her lips as she stared at the place with disdain.
Dirty walls with years of dust and gandegi on it, with an ugly gray floor which had shards of broken glass sprawled on them. The windows and mirrors - a few which were left unbroken - were covered in grime, much like the filthy sinks and the breaks from the bricks whose chipped paint give them a creepy look. The stalls' were closed with the doors that looked like they were about to die there and then.
And the smell.
Oh, the smell.
The whole place gave whiffs of poisoned plants and rotten cat pee, along with the unbearable stench of rusty, rusted rust coming from the sink taps.
But the privacy this place came with was still worth it. They wanted to make their potion in peace, without people interrupting every other second and asking stupid questions.
Dot stepped in the place, trying to look around all at once, if this place nested cockroaches, because that was one thing Dot will not bear.
Finding a corner that would be suitable for brewing a potion, she pulled out her magicked sweeping brush from her bookbag - a precious belonging Dot had bought on first glance from a shop that sold magical household items, back in Diagon Alley.
Gingerly, Dot placed her item on the area. The shopkeeper had told Dot that, in order to make the brush work, she just needed to command it so, keeping in mind the area that needs to be cleaned. So picturing that square she wanted to sit and brew her potion on, Dot said in a clear voice, "Clean."
For a moment, in which Dot thought she'd been betrayed by the shopkeeper, nothing happened. But then, with a slow, wooden grunt, the thing started to move, not only sweeping and mopping around the place, but also removing any stains or shards of glasses with it as well.
It took some time, approximately 15 minutes, if Dot's black wristwatch is truthful, for the place to look almost tidy. Pleased with herself, she sat on the place and took her heavy book bag off her shoulder, but not before setting the brush back in her bag. Opening the zipper, she stared at her share of the ingredients inside, the half she was supposed to bring. A small vial of dried nettles, some crushed snake fangs, a couple of horned slugs and some porcupine quills. Besides that, she had brought brass scales, mortar and pestle as well, while the cauldron, wooden spoon and other half of ingredients was on her potions mate, Yong Yukimura.
Inside her bag also was a neatly folded parchment, on which Dot had scrawled the ingredients needed and the recipe after a small research. Pulling it out, she unfolded it and skimmed it again, for the hundredth time of the day:
Dot nodded approvingly and put the parchment beside her, on the clean floor. Now, that a few minutes have passed, the stench and odour of the toilet didn't seem to haunt her as much as they were doing before. Maybe it was a good idea to choose the Abandoned Toilets, Dot thought as she started taking out her stuff from the bag and waiting for Yong to come with her share of the ingredients.A Cure For Boils

Dot pulled out her wand and gripped in in her right hand firmly. Pointing at the area she was to sit on, she moved her wand in a smooth, sinuous motion, like a letter S, while pronouncing carefully, "SKUR-ji-fy".
Instantly, the broken glass pieces, grime and filth cleared from a small area of her chosen place. Dot smirked to herself as a gust of proudness filled her chest. These days, now that she's trying harder than ever in Charms class, her spells are working better and faster each time. This was her second spell in a row that worked on first try.

Ready, Set, Brew!
Yong had stopped off at the Potions classroom to collect the ingredients for the homework she and her partner, Dot Dutt, had decided to work on. When Yong first met Dot, she couldn't help but notice she was different also, and that did make Yong more comfortable at Hogwarts, knowing she wasn't the only different person at school.
She stuffed the herbs and strange creature body parts in jars into her satchel and began to walk to where Dot had said to meet up: The Abandoned Toilets. Yong had already been there before, and had met Avery Gardner. But today was another story.
On the way there, Yong hummed calmly to herself. Mostly, the halls were quiet. But there was the occasional other person, or group, or couple. Finally, Yong reached the place and walked inside, flinching at the smell. You would get used to it after a few minutes (hopefully) but it was still awful. "I am here! With everything we need!" Yong announced playfully.
She sat down next to Dot and opened her bag, taking everything out. She had her cauldron, the wooden spoon, the Ginger Root, the Pungous Onion, the Flobberworm Mucous and Pickled Shrake Spines (all ingredients in tough glass jars).
"Where do we start?"

Ready, Set, Brew!
Dot was having a great time with her ingredients. She was inspecting her vial of dried nettles closely, while her subconcious brewed up a sweet daydream of Professor's surprise when she found out that Dot and Yong had created one of the potions mentioned in the class. In the lesson today morning, Professor had only discussed about the Cure For Boils potion and gave a couple of questions for homework, nothing big. So, maybe, when she finds out that Yong and Dot had brewed the potion she only mentioned, she'd be surprised, yeah? And perhaps she'll reward them with some house points as well. And what if she also told the other students about it? Then Dot could pull up a smug smirk and walk to the class with her nose high up in the air -
Gingerly, Dot placed the vial back on the bathroom floor while Yong walked up to her and sat down, as carefree as she looked.
"I'm glad. Now we can begin." Said Dot, a tad bit late in replying.
Yong started pulling everything out from her bag, while Dot sat there feeling useless, until Yong spoke up again.
Dot grabbed the glass jar of the fangs, and took out six pieces, adding them to her marble mortar carefully. After she was done adding them in, she grabbed her pestle and began thrumming it down on the fangs one after another, determined to crush the fangs in a fine paste, just like her textbook taught her.
Dot jumped, the vial in her hands shaking with the sudden jerky movement. Standing at the entrance was her potions' homework mate, Yong Yukimura, looking as confident and beautiful as always. Dot, since she had met Yong, always found her very enchanting, what with her tall height and those soft-looking deep brown hair that goes perfectly with her equally dark eyes. Dot wondered if she was quarter-veela or something, but she never told Yong what she thought."I am here! With everything we need!"

Dot cleared her throat, readying herself. Pointing to the parchment beside her, she said, "Here's the recipe and everything, but you'll probably not understand my writing, so lemme tell you where to begin with," Dot glanced at the parchment and looked back up at Yong with her charcoal eyes. "Well, can you heat up the cauldron first? Meanwhile, I'll crush the snake fangs.""Where do we start?"
