No One Compares to You PV Erin R. Closed

Backdated to the afternoon of February 14th, 2020, immediately after the events of "Valentine's Tea" took place and Jack chased after @Erin Ryan as she left the tea party in this post.
As Jack chased after Erin in an attempt to reach her before she left the Small Hall, he tried to capture her in a hug. He hadn't forgotten her ridicluous show of strength from before, of course, but he couldn't help attempting the gesture, either. She deserved a hug at the very least for all the worry and concern she had shown for him, no matter who she thought he was.

"I'm so sorry, I just got lost thinking about what you had asked," he answered, his voice thick with true regret. "I have it now, though.

"A quirk of mine is that it's taken me this long to appreciate who you are and all you've done for us throughout all the time we've been together. I'm sorry that sometimes that knoweldge still escapes me from time to time and I still take it for granted every so often.
"
Blushing hard, he released the girl (if she hadn't done anything to make him release her sooner) and looked away, scratching the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"I'm trying to make it up to you however I can now, though; I'm just still having some trouble figuring out how. How to...to be a good boyfriend and all."

Erin might be impressively strong for a girl, but she was not there to fight. Had she come for a fight, her knuckles would have been bloody already. She was for the most part, an overly emotional teenage girl. Perhaps not 'normal' but not far from it. Certainly she had multiple delusions, but they were the product of the evidence that was set before her. And like anyone with maddened thoughts that would have passed by without a second thought had there not been something to substantiate, when the madness was supported by the reality set before her, she accepted it.

Quinn - a violent, powerful, large youth whom when accused of cannibalism flees rather than denies.

Reid - a deathwitch, something she suspected and then it was verbally confirmed.

Midget Giants - an actual, true threat to the security of wizards. A pair of former Prefects admitted as much.

Paracelsus is the guy in front of her. Well, behind her actually. Why would she think otherwise. Not that she knew Paracelsus at all, they had hardly spoken except as of late. She actually knew the fraud more than the actual boy she had mistaken him for. She would have been jealous regardless, the overly emotional girl was directed my her passions rather than her senses.

Jack was just digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole he only thought he wanted to travel. Erin stormed off, well tried in any case. If was not that she lacked the power to do so. Prone to violence, fits of rage were a somewhat expected spectacle. But she was stopped by something strange that she had never felt before. A pair of arms that wrapped around her from behind. She had felt arms around her, but it was different. Not the same. There was a fight then, a pain and a tightness that she did not feel. No surge of adrenaline, a need to survive.

It felt... warm?

But she had never felt this before. This strange position, this tactile experience. It was odd and she stopped in her tracked, allowing it to linger uncertain of even the source until she heard his voice.

She had never been hugged before. Shown any form of affection. Not from friends, she had none of those except perhaps @Thomas LeStrange and well... their relationship was not the hugging sort. @Geoffrey Ryan and her parents, they were not the type to show affection either. What she lacked was something that could be seen in the entire family line, even if her 'condition' was the most perverse among them.

His quirk was bullshit, not that she knew it. Not at the time at least as he gave her a line about appreciating her. Fond words were rare. It was why she was so dedicated to Thomas, to being his friend. It was why she did not appreciate Oliver in the same way, their friendship was a deal. A mutual agreement to stop a conflict that would have ensured the destruction of both of them. She did not have friends or people that cared about her.

Her jaw shook and her shoulders slumped. "I'm sorry," she muttered. "I should not even care," she admitted with a tone of frustration. "I did not used to," not always at least. As long as she got what she needed or wanted she would not seek more. "You're fine, the problem is me acting like a crazy person," an apt assessment despite it not intending to be. "I messed up," she was not talking about the emotional outburst. Well, not entirely. "I just have to get used to it."

Been over a month since re-opening.
Follow up in case this thread is dead.

Erin is rather quickly calmed down, embarrassed and apologetic. She goes on briefly about how 'everything is loud' and appears upset. her emotions are however rather labile. She goes on briefly about her theories --

Death Witches -- something Kaegen Deathmote had revealed to her some time ago. That they are among the students and perhaps faculty and that they mean them harm. That it was confirmed by a pair of former Prefects - Max Avery and Eris Fawley.

Giants -- she believes that the giants are planning an uprising. That they are all in danger. That some/all of them might be cannibals. She cites Quinn Healy and Hugh Lowe as a pair of part-giants she confronted and describes their interaction.

Midget Giants -- they are real. Max Avery and Eris Fawley confirmed it, Quinn's former girlfriend Rosie was one.

That the Professors are likely in on it, Caradoc Browne was indifferent to her pleas for help. That the Prefects, such as Reid Kovacs defended them as well.

Her theories sound outlandish but she named names.

She seemed happy but strangely terrified.
