Rose walked into the Small Hall. She took one glance around the room. Its warm fire, talking paintings, and tables and chairs were scattered around the room. She plopped her books down in a far corner feeling a bit dizzy. How am I going to study with a headache? As she lazily turned a page of History of Magic. Her eyes slide blankly down the page without really understanding it at all. While reading; several paintings left their portraits to go visit others. She closed History of Magic with a bang, it was the most tedious book she had ever read: and she loved books. She looked around the room; she wished the founders had thought to put a window in here. She opened her knapsack looking through her books, hoping that she didn't leave any in her common room. She opened the Magical Drafts in the hope that it would be a little more interesting. She looked through the chapters trying to memorize how to brew potions and stop minor poisons, hoping that this would come in handy one day. Time seemed to fly as she checked her watch, it was 5:55 almost time for dinner. If she wanted to eat, she would have to find her way across this magical castle.

Emile had been sitting in one of the comfy chairs, which were located conveniently around the castle in almost all of the halls or gathering areas. As usual, his nose was stuck in a book (this one was about wizard fairy tales and myths), and his hair was dropped over his eyes as he read his stories. This one was about a gallant prince who turns out to be a dragon who had been terrorizing the village he ruled over. “Interesting...” Emile said out loud and chuckled a bit. As he chuckled he accidentally let out a little snort. He looked up to see if anyone had heard him. Thankfully no one had, but he did spot someone across the room who seemed to not be feeling well.
She seemed to be a bit dizzy, and with a slam she closed her book. Emile, being the person he is, fished out some Honeyduke’s chocolate his grandparents had given him a little while back. That might not help a head ache. Maybe it would make her feel better though. Maybe she was dizzy from low sugar. Maybe he was definitely overthinking this. ‘Nevertheless! I’ll give it to her anyway, maybe it’ll just brighten her day.’ And so, he set his book down on his seat in case he wanted to come and sit there later and headed over to her.
“Hello,” he started. “Would you like some chocolate?” He smiled.
‘Wait, that sounded weird.’ He thought, starting to feel embarrassed.
“Sorry. That was weird. I saw you sitting over here, you looked a bit ill. I thought some chocolate might brighten your day.” He explained. “Oh, and my names Emile.” He told her.
‘Oh god. That was definitely weird.’ He thought, waiting for her response.

Rose looked up in surprise at the boy. She gave a weak smile and finished packing her books
. The boy walked over and seemed to be fighting with himself. He took a piece of Honey-Dukes chocolate and said, “Hello,” he started. “Would you like some chocolate?”
He smiled. Before she could answer he tried to fix his mistake of making it sound like he wanted to poison her. ‘Wait, that sounded weird'. He thought, starting to feel embarrassed. “Sorry. That was weird. I saw you sitting over here, you looked a bit ill. I thought some chocolate might brighten your day.]” He explained. “Oh, and my names Emile. He told her.
She looked at his uniform and said in surprise, 'You're in Gryffindor why would you want to help me?She didn't want to be mean or rude, but what if he was trying to poison her? She tried to fix her mistake. 'I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. My name is Primrose Walker.' Rose said.
She hoped he wouldn't be mad at her this was her one chance of actually finding a friend. So where are you from? she asked. She wanted to slap herself, You just said that he was a Gryffindor like Gryffindors were mean or evil or something, she thought. She wouldn't know though she had never talked to one.
She wanted to apologize and become good friends. So she tried to put on a real smile and took a small bite of the chocolate. This is AMAZING!!! she gasped, I've never tasted chocolate this good! Without even noticing her head felt better. She smiled and said 'What do you think of this place? I didn't even know I was a witch in till I got my letter'. She was about to take another bite of the chocolate but changed her mind and put it back in the box. Rose looked at Emile and said, I shouldn't waist my appetite its almost dinner time.
She waited for him to respond.

Emile hasn’t even noticed that she was a Hufflepuff but when she asked why he wanted to help her, that was when he noticed. He had always known a bit about small aggression from other houses, and if he were in her situation he probably would have said the same thing. Asking a random person from a different house if they want chocolate really does sound suspicious. Emile scratched the back of his neck anxiously.
“Sorry if I came off that way. I didn’t mean to be rude or scare you. I can see why you might think I want to poison you.” He said with a small smile. “I just saw that you looked like you had a head ache. It was on instinct.” He told her.
“Anyway, it’s lovely to meet you, Primrose. Can I call you Rosy? I like that nickname.” Said Emile with a big smile.
Emile also hoped he hadn’t ruined having a chance with a new friend. Since his time here, he hadn’t really gotten a chance to get friends. It wasn’t like he didn’t get along with anyone, but he also didn’t have anyone he would always study with or eat with.
“So where are you from?” Primrose asked, and this brought him out of his thinking state.
“Oh! I’m from Bath in England.” He told her. “Where are you from?” He asked in return.
Emile was very happy that she seemed to enjoy the chocolate as much as he did. “I’m glad you like it!” He said with a grin.
“So what do you think about this place?” She asked.
“It’s huge, to say the least. But everything here feels so much more grand! And I feel like I actually belong here with all the other wizards.” He told her. “Wow! Til the letter, huh? I had a little sprout come from the ground when I was younger. That’s how I knew.” He explained.
“Yeah, I would eat some chocolate too but I’m excited for dinner.” He said, thinking of the feast they always had. “Oh..” He started, feeling a bit embarrassed again. “By any chance do you know how to get to the Great Hall from here? I’m awful with directions and kind of just wandered up here.” He said with a weak laugh.
