Giant Squid?
Roshia Delacroix went walking about on the grounds to the Great Lake. She saw the dark beauty from a distance and wanted a closer look. Roshia packed a lunch in an old-fashioned straw basket with her consisting of four pieces of bread, turkey, mustard, peanut butter, and apples, with a water as a drink. Going up to the edge of the Black Lake and sits in a grassy area. It was a sunny day and Roshia was near shallow water. Sitting there taking in the silence she notices something with movement in the water. Standing up to analyze the water closer without the glimmer of the sunlight. "Is that... Yes, it has to be. It's a testicle. It must be from the semi-domesticated giant squid! I guess it is quite sunny, isn't it?" She says as if talking to the beast. "At least it wasn't a Grindylows. Vicious little things!" Grabbing her straw basket and grabbed a piece of bread to feed the giant squid in shallow waters. Then, throwing the bread into the Black Lake's water. The squid accepts the offer and eats the floating bread pieces. A silent giggle came from her as she watched and she looked up. "Gosh, it is sunny a bit too much for me. I should hurry and eat to get back in the shade." Roshia grabs 2 pieces of bread adding a few pieces of turkey and mustard making her sandwich. She cuts her apples up and puts peanut butter on them. Taking a bite of her sandwich she hears...

Giant Squid?
Isabella watched as a Gryffindor student chucked food into the lake for the giant squid. She chuckled remembering how her sister does that with ducks. She looks back down to the book she’s reading. What Katy Did. A strange choice for a witch, as it’s a muggle classic. She looked back up to see the girl cutting up an apple and spreading what looked like peanut butter on it.
‘What a strange combination’ she thought. Th girl looked like she was having fun, even though she was alone. Isabella wanted to go talk to her. ‘She’s a Gryffindor.’ She told herself. ‘She won’t want to talk to a Slytherin like me.’ She thought with dismay. ‘I guess I could try?’ She thought.
She marked her page in her book, left the shade of her tree and started walking towards the girl. When she was about to tap the girl on the shoulder a twig snapped beneath her foot, causing the girl to turn around in surprise. Isabella stopped and smiled at her. ‘Now or never’ she thought to herself. “Hi, my names Isabella Hills. I’m a Slytherin first year. Would it be ok for me to sit wih you?” Isabella held her breath in anticipation, waiting for her reply.

Giant Squid?
Taking a bite of her sandwich she hears a twig snap behind her. She then turns around in startled from the sound. To find a girl standing there with a book, Roshia looks straight at the book before anything else. The title reads What Katy Did. "Hm, a muggle book. I doubt a Pure-blood other than I would read that. A possible muggle or half-blood, probably." She thinks to herself.
The girl then announces “Hi, my names Isabella Hills. I’m a Slytherin first year. Would it be ok for me to sit with you?” Peering up and down the girl looking at her messy bun and outfit like she was scanning her. "She seems to not put much effort into appearance. Though, she looks smart and kind. I guess I'll give it a chance. I hope she doesn't ask for any of my food." Not stating aloud, she then looks down at her food calculating the loss of the amount of food she has if asked for some by Isabella. Looking up at her and then down at her food. "Ah, apples are my favorite too." Roshia then stands up and pats the little bit dirt off her from the ground to give a formal greeting. "Greetings, I am Roshia Von Delacroix. I'm currently placed within Gryffindor. Yes, you may sit with me." She gestures to the ground for Isabella to sit with her, though she waits for her to sit first.
