Roses and Pink Skies
( feel free to join! )
Peach had decided to come to the Great Lake after dinner. It gave her some time to walk and digest properly but to also to sort her thoughts out. The last couple of days had been quite overwhelming and filled with so much change that she felt her body becoming sick of it. She missed her home, as she knew all the other first years did. It was hard to leave everything behind, but at least, she could make good friends and improve her skills.
She reached the lake and decided to sit upon a small hill near it, facing the falling sun. Its rays were bouncing off the glimmering waters of the lake, to reach the clouds, giving them a pretty orange color. She could see the sea life moving under the soft blanket of water, and it made her smile. She sat down and observed the trees, standing tall and proud, their branches aiming for the sky, hoping they will reach it someday. Birds were going back to their nests. The sky was falling deeper into the abyss, where we can not see, and it reminded Peach of an old story her mother used to tell when she was younger. It was about the moon, giving birth to a star. The moon was in love with the sun, and she had had that child with him. Sadly, she knew she would never see him again, and she was heartbroken. She gave birth to many other stars, but one of them was different. It was brighter and reminded the moon too much of the sun that she hated it. That lonely star was adopted but the wind. At least, that's what she remembered of it.
The cold breeze brought her back to reality and she was blown away by what she saw before her; pink skies, dipped in purples and reds, reminding her of La Maison dans les Roses .

It was probably around the best time to go to the lake for her. The sun was setting, and Kreszentia didn't believe the majority of the other students would want to be outside of the castle when it started to get dark. She knew she probably wouldn't have a lot of time to poke around the water much, but it was better than never bothering to go see it again.
In her hand she wielded a fairly large but thin rock, something she found on the way and just kind of plucked up for no particular reason. She gently smacked it against the palm of her other hand, the weight of each careful impact somewhat therapeutic to her, as she strolled onward. The closer she got to the water, however, the more on edge she felt. Krez never really cared much for bodies of water, as beautiful as they could be. The dark depths and mystery of what lied beneath unnerved her a little, but her morbid curiosity overwhelmed her fear most of the time and she often found herself poking around the banks of ponds and such when the opportunity presented itself.
As she neared the dark waters, stone prepared in her fist to prod at the mud and rocks, she began to slow her roll as she noticed another student already there. She seemed to be admiring the sunset, which made sense seeing how lovely it was this evening. The problem for Krez was that she didn't know this girl, which wasn't bad or anything. She was just a bit on the cautious side.
Quietly, she approached, staying a good few feet away from the other student before sitting down as well to watch the sunset alongside her. Or, somewhat alongside her.

The sun was slowly setting, its lights reflecting a little everywhere, creating extraordinary shadows on the world around her. She hadn't seen such a beautiful sunset in a while and it made her sad that she couldn't share it with her mum, or anyone. It was too pretty to watch alone. She sighed and looked around. The lake looked like it was filled with thousands of little gems and it made her smile. It was so shiny and beautiful. She looked around a little more and saw and young girl walking to the lake. Peach was surprised because not many students ever dared to come to the lake this late. She was playing with a rock and she seemed lost in thoughts. The young girl looked at Peach, whom smiled at her. She hoped that she would come up to where she was sitting. To invite the young girl to join her, she patted the empty space next to her.
She hadn't made that many friends in the school so far, and she hoped she could be friends with that young girl. they had a common liking; coming out to the lake late. Once the young girl was near enough so that she could hear Peach, this one smiled a little more and presented herself.
"Hello, I'm Peach. The sunset is amazing tonight, don't you think?"

It took a second for her to want to answer, seemingly surprised by the other girl's decision to converse with her, but soon enough she timidly glanced back and nodded in response to Peach's question. It was nice to be able to see the sun a bit with no dreary clouds hanging in the sky to block it off this evening, like she was used to. Refreshing, she thought.
For a moment more she turned back to the lake, fiddling with her stone as she had previously, before sighing and putting it down next to her to free up her hands. The little witch scooted a bit closer, sure to still leave an arms width between the two of them, before finally offering a little gloved hand out to Peach to shake. At least, after wiping it off somewhat, of course.
"Um...Kreszentia." She mostly muttered, burying her face further into her scarf as she hardly kept any eye contact. Between the cloth muffling her words, and her heavy Germanic accent, it might have been somewhat difficult to hear. She of course didn't seem to notice herself, as she hadn't made any attempt to try again. Instead, she waited patiently to see if the student accepted her gesture or not.

"Um...Kreszentia.", said the young girl after offering a gloved hand to Peach. She spoke lightly, which made it hard to hear, and she had a very strong accent, which Peach found beautiful. She shook Kreszentia's hand and her smile got warmer.
"Your name is beautiful. Where is it from?"
Peach was fascinated by names. It was a gift, that your family gave you at birth and that you had to carry all your life. Sometimes people didn't like it so they would carry it until their 20's, where they would change it for another. Peach thought that names were everything. The social, relationships...
Peach had an interesting name, and so people wanted to talk to her, which made it kind of easy to have a first starter to a conversation. Whereas a name like Jessica or Anna would be more known and so less interesting to others. And the young girl always thought that for some people, their names signed their destiny. Like in the old times, with the Vikings. They would give each other suitable nicknames that would follow them all their lives and hopefully keep their meaning. Or in Asia, she heard that the name had great importance and that names should be carried on proud shoulders and steady situations. And Peach found that really fascinating.

Oh no, shes nice. Expected, but still enough to fluster her significantly.
Kreszentia blushed at the compliment, not sure what to really tell her as she never asked her parents about the origins of her name. She could only really make assumptions about it, given where she lived previously and well, her ethnicity. "...Germany." Krez replied, clearing her throat a little and taking her hand back carefully. "Danke."
Her words wouldn't come to her properly for a second or two, so all she managed to get out was a curious "Peach?" instead of a whole question. A small hand gesture from her hopefully made it kind of obvious that she was trying to ask the same question about her, too. Of course, she knew what a peach was and where they came from for the most part, but it was a...rather curious choice in her opinion. She hadn't encountered anyone named after food until now, but she'd met someone with an interesting name already so she was starting to expect things like his. This school and its students just got weirder and weirder...
Not in a bad way, at least. The few people she had encountered seemed alright.

Roses and Pink Skies
It was growing to be late at night, and Rhea decided to head out of the castle for a bit. She knew that it would be a tad chilly, so she found a light coat she'd packed and wrapped it around herself. Then she journeyed out, trying to find a place to just sit and think about the Sorting. She remembered that a prefect had told her that there was a lake near here, and so she decided to go and see it.
As she walked nearer, she noticed that there were two other students there already. She stopped and debated whether to turn back or not, but decided not to. Maybe she could talk to them and help get her Sorting off her mind.
She walked closer and soon saw that they were both girls - one black-haired, and one blonde-haired. She took a seat down next to the blonde one, not noticing that the two girls seemed to be in a conversation.

The sound of approaching footsteps in the encroaching darkness put her on edge, but only just enough to be more alert. She had hoped it was just another student who had decided to wander around the lake bank, and really there was no reason for them not to be. The steps nearing them didn't ease her nerves, and she tensed more when she heard the sound of someone plopping next to her. It bothered her enough to have her scoot closer to Peach and look over her shoulder at the new girl.
Krez's little hands balled into fists against the dirt, and as she waited for Peach to understand her query, she gave the new girl a look over.
It was hard to get a good look with the light being practically gone, but from what she could see when her eyes adjusted to the rising moonlight was..well, fairly lovely. Even in the dark she could appreciate the fiery color of her hair, vibrant and striking in its highlights. And, she had to admit despite being generally circumspect, her face didn't read as all that threatening. Sweet, maybe, but not scary. Either way her appearance was enough to make Kreszentia feel kind of stupid for being iffy in the first place. Regardless, she said nothing to her.

"...Germany. Danke." Oh, so that was where her accent was from. It was very pretty and fitted the young girl well. "Peach?" she asked.
The said Peach smiled. She had been waiting for that question, as it was always asked after the name telling was done. " Yes, haha. I don't really know why, but I think that mum wanted me to stand out. It doesn't really fit my appearance though, but maybe my personality? I'm not too sure...". She looked down and started playing with the grass at her feet, feeling the night coming and the air getting colder. She was only wearing her uniform and her coat, but she didn't think she'd be cold.
The two girls sat peacefully in silence for a couple of minutes and it seemed to suit both of them. Silence wasn't bad. But it got broken when they both heard footsteps coming towards them, then stopping for a little, seeming to decide where to go, then starting again their dance towards the two girls. Peach heard someone sitting down next to Kreszentia, and this one getting closer. She didn't seem too comfortable and Peach saw that. The only light they received now was from the shining moon, but it wasn't enough to see in details the intruder. Peach bent over a little, to be able to observe the stranger. It was a girl, and from what she could see in the moonlight, her hair was the color of fire and her face was sweet. Peach looked at Kreszentia and smiled sweetly at her before introducing herself and the blonde haired girl to the intruder.

Rhea had a chance to study the two girls, and so she took it. The blonde girl had piercing green eyes, and her blonde hair came down to about her shoulders. She had on a scarf, covering half her nose and man. Her cheeks were rosy as well.
The black-haired girl had pink rosy cheeks too, that and long black hair that cascaded down her back, with long bangs. She had grey, almost blue eyes.
As soon as she sat down, Rhea could sense that her presence was making the blonde girl uncomfortable. She pressed her lips together and scooted away, wanting to give the blonde one her personal space. She turned and saw that the black haired girl was staring at her, and smiled. Then the girl spoke.
"Hello, I am Peach. This is Kreszentia," the black-haired girl, Peach, introduced both herself and the blonde. Rhea nodded and introduced herself as well.
"My name's Rhea. Sorry for just busting into your conversation, but I wanted to clear my mind a bit," Rhea explained. She leaned back onto her elbows and stared out onto the lake, hoping to find something to focus her attention on. "Why are you guys out here?"
