Sticking Together PV Khris Bailey Closed

After Kyden had moved into his new dorm he had sent a note off to Khris to meet him out by the Great Lake. He felt bad leaving the boy alone in the dorm to be tormented for not being a pure blood. But Khris seemed like the type who could handle himself.

Kyden found his favorite spot up on top of a hill. It was the perfect spot and he was able to see all around him. He looked out towards the water hoping to catch a glimpse of the Giant Squid. Last time he was out here he was disappointed he had forgotten his sketch book. This time however he had brought it with him. He was extremely eager to draw the squid.

Looking around he realized that not many students were outside today but he didn't care. He preferred it that way. He didn't have to keep people from going into the lake. He still couldn't believe how many people still tried to do that.

He looked behind him and spotted Khris walking towards him. Kyden smiled glad that the Slytherin boy had decided to meet him. He was hoping he would. He wanted to get to know him better. Maybe just maybe he could make another friend.

It was nice to be outside, the air crisp and clean and probably just as magical as the old castle in the background. There were ancient trees that cast shade over grass carpeted hills, flowering bushes that let petals blow across the lake, and owls of all sorts circling and stretching their wings in the blue sky above. A magical sight indeed.

Khris allowed a genuine smile to cross his face as he made his way up a slight incline.

He had been grateful to recieve Kyden's note earlier and had hurriedly finished unpacking in order to make it outside to meet the young Slytherin. The chance to perhaps make a friend was an intriguing one and Khris had rather leapt at the opportunity, a small bag of
Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans tucked in his pocket to share. Everyone likes sweets, right? They're a good way to make friends?

Before long a familiar form came into view and Khris returned the kind smile cast towards him and raised his hand in a shy wave of greeting.

Well... here it goes.

Four more steps and Khris plopped himself down beside the prefect, his legs pretzleing beneath him and a nervous chuckle falling from his lips.

"Um... hi." His robe pocket rustled as trembling fingers withdrew the slightly wrinkled paper bag which he then offered with a shy smile. "For you. If you like that is. I meant, if you would like some. Or all them really! What I mean to say is-" Khris stuttered a few more awkward words before closing his mouth with a sharp click and an embarrassed flush. A huff of annoyance given at his incapabilty to string words together.

For Merlin's sake! You've already met the lad! Calm down and try this again."

His brow furrowed and he took a deep breath.

"What I meant to say was, here." He plopped the bag of sweets in Kyden's hand with a gentle, albeit still slightly embarrassed smile. "And thank you, both for earlier and for sending the note. It was kind of you."
