If she had to chose between sunny or cloudy days she would chose the cloudy ones, a specific cloud filled weather where things are still light but one can feel quite sheltered and embraced by the sky. Everyone she kind of knew was busy that day, or she prefered not to intrude. She took a piece of old cloth with her then, old sheets she could not get rid of, so she could use as coverage when outside. Settin a tiny camping on the soft grass spot under a tree. What kind of tree was it? It was not a Willow, she would know, she wondered if it was a simple oak, it seemed to be so. Her abilities with plants were basic to the point of knowing the best - most interesting - water plants for potions, something her aunt was an expert on, but aside from that, she did not knew much. She had in her bag two books she was reading, one because she liked it, a short stories spooky halloween book; "The greatest greater ghost Volume II". The other book was not that fun, it felt appropriate to master the subject of Gargoyle Strike of 1911, Hogwarts had much greater materials to take notes from, so she thought she would start getting familiarized with it. She brought to the little camp bottles of water and apples. Oh to eat cake...
At distance other students could be seen, she even wished someone would approach her. On the other hand, she really could use that alone time to focus properly...yet, a gloomy sensation was tingling in her heart... A study buddy could make this dragging feeling go away?

Eva walked out onto the grounds to get some fresh air as she studied. She had picked up some Herbology books and Astronomy books from the library. It was a bit cloudy but Eva didn't seem to mind it.
Eva had decided she wanted to go study by the Great Lake, but as she approached it she noticed someone else was sitting near where she was heading. Wait, she knew who that was. It was that Ravenclaw she had met a while ago in the library. Her name was Rosie if Eva remembered correctly. Not that she liked to remember the first time they met. It wasn't exactly great.
Eva didn't turn around or start heading in a different direction though, she would feel awkward, just changing direction because of a person, and besides she might be able to make a better impression on the girl this time. She was usually so friendly.
So Eva walked over to where the Ravenclaw was sitting and sat down about a foot or two from her. She opened her Astronomy book, even though she should have been studying for Herbology first. She read through the book a bit, then looked up at the girl. Should she try to talk to her? "Hello.." She tried to sound friendly, but her words did come out a little nervous. What would this girl think of Eva trying to talk to her? She had been annoyed at her last time they saw each other. Well, if things didn't go well, Eva could always move somewhere else.

Rosie saw with the corner of the eyes a orange shadow, and looking up she saw the face of...Eva?
Eva was the girl Rosie met in a tragic incident. See, it was the first time she let the problems in her mind get the best of her, and ended up scaling is this weird embarrassing interaction. Rosie could be satisfied with herself when imagining that most people she met were taking a liking to her, she day-dreamed a lot about friends bound to last a long time, Hogwarts friendships are famous for that. Yet, after what happened to Eva, a complete waste of both of their time, Rosie felt awful. A little nauseous with herself whenever she remembered it. She could feel at this exact moment her cheeks turn red, she was so ashamed of Evergood.
She hadn't screamed or actually fighted Eva, however she knew the tone used was condescending and the accusations too cruel to deal with such a materialistic subject. At the time it seemed unbearable to give up on the pen, now, she kind of wished she wasn't using that exact pen that caused the accident. Although Eva wouldn't see it until Rosie started her notes on magic history. She kept reading while Eva sat near her.
Rosie didn't know what to say, she didn't mind Eva there, now that a time had passed she could see Eva in a literally different light, her hair was extremely beautiful in contrast to the green and grey around them, and her face was so gentle. Maybe Rosie wouldn't have to say anything.
_Hi._ and in a nervous tick she checked the hairpins in her head. _Nice..Books..._She pointed at the astronomy choices. Some of which she had meant to pick up but didn't have the time yet. _They are from the library right?_Rosie cleared her throat. It would be weird to drink water right now, but she wanted something to do so she just held tighter to the books. _You-...Er, you can sit here on the cloth. Or you'll smudge your vests._She tried to smile. Her heart was still gloomy. Was this the universe trying to help Rosie make her heart lighter?

"Thanks. Yeah, they are from the library.." Eva said, her heart lifting a bit. Rosie seemed just as nervous about interacting. Maybe she felt kind of bad about their last interaction as well. "Oh.. Thank you." Eva smiled and picked up her books, moving onto the cloth at the invitation. After sitting down on the cloth she reopened her Astronomy book, but she was barely taking in a word of it. She wanted to think of something to say to Rosie.
"It's a nice day." Eva said, looking up at the cloudy sky. It probably wasn't what everyone would call a 'nice day', it was little gloomy, but Eva didn't mind it. There was still some light shining through the clouds, and they felt a bit like a giant blanket in the sky, trapping warmth. If anything the cloudy weather and light reminded her of the common room she was in so often. Eva knew that the Slytherin common room was probably the least brightest of the four, but she was getting used to it.
She wondered what the other common rooms were like, but that wasn't what she needed to focus on. Eva went on, scanning through her book, looking up every so often, over at the lakes surface or to where Rosie was sitting. Trying to think of things to talk about. Eva didn't really like the thought of sitting in complete silence, even though she knew she should be studying, which was easier in a quiet area.

The atmosphere was so stiff and weird. Rosie thought that coming up saying sorry and apologizing would be weird, maybe sounding a bit fake and pedant. Not that would show weakness but she couldn't predict if Eva would respect her less or more for it. What kind of person am I, or better, want to be?
Clearing her throat she got back to her book, skimming through it, how bad was her impression. Was Rosie rude or dumb on Eva eyes?
The night of the incident, in her dormitory, Rosie spent a good time rethinking about her steps, there was no other alternative then the fact she confused everything and blame it all on the poor girl. Eva wasn't even to be at fault for hiding the pen. So stupidly small, and yet, grandiose fuss made. Rosie still wondered why didn't the redhead defend herself better, or got the pen back from Rosie's hand.
Am I...Intimidating?
_It is...I like the cloudy days best. Then a second check on her hairpin. _What- Um- What is the best for you? Herbolody or Astronomy?_Rosie put a water bottle in front of Eva, in case she wanted, she could just drink it instead of feeling thirsty in silence. _I have apples too._Rosie added.

Eva thought about the question for a moment. Not that she needed to, the answer was easy for her. "Definitely Astronomy. I find it more interesting to learn about than herbology, but herbology is still cool. Which do you like more?" Eva was starting to feel a little more at ease. When she had first sat down by Rosie she had been a little tense, but conversations, even if they were small, always helped her to feel comfortable.
As Rosie placed a water bottle in front of her, Eva realized how thirsty she really was. Rosie also mentioned that she had apples. "Thanks." Eva said, grabbing the water bottle and taking a sip. She was grateful that Rosie had it. Eva had forgotten to bring anything but her books. She hadn't thought about food or water, though she probably should have. "I'll have an apple too I suppose." Eva felt a bit nervous adding this, but Rosie wouldn't have told Eva she had apples if she wasn't offering one to her. Right?
This interaction is going so much better than the first one. Eva thought, and she was glad about that. Maybe they would become friends, or at least close enough to study together once and a while. That might be nice. Someone to study with.

_Would you know what tree is this? I couldn't put a finger on it, i'm better at recognizing water plants or some iconic potion ingredients._Rosie pointed to the tree standing next to them, it reminded her of an oak but it wasn't one...
_ I suppose my list would go from Astronomy, to charms and then History of magic. Herbology might be a safe spot for me to guarantee grades, but i'm mostly scared about potions._Rosie explained, thinking about all the anxieties surrounding her relation with potions in parallel to herbology that didn't hold any worries, but also no poper thrill attached to it._Are you interested in magical creatures?_ Rosie asked because she assumed the pen gift for Eva came from a place of liking mythical powerful creatures. _I liked that pen because I really like myths, you know? snallygaster are so majestic, although if I'm honest, the prior month with the Albino Fênix was...a lot prettier. I heard it sold out so fast it was a record._ Rosie laughed, thinking about the hypocrisy and the funny part of now trying to make a joke out of that incident. _Here take one._Rosie handed her an apple and a small fruit knife. She was warming up to the occasion, finally having a chance to sit back in the fields of the great lake and enjoying an afternoon with a...colleague. Rosie opened herself a bottle of water and drank it almost half of it at once. At least she had brought more. _How quickly do you think we can run if it starts raining?_She looked up, the tree offered some protection, but not quite definite protection.

Eva looked up at the tree. It did look like an oak. She had read a book about trees when she was younger, but she couldn't quite remember it. "It might be an ash tree, but I'm not sure." Eva replied after thinking for a moment. Her family had an ash tree in their front yard, and it looked similar to the one they were sitting under.
"Yeah, I am interested in magical creatures. My mother knew I liked magical creatures. That's why she got me the feather pen as a gift." Eva wasn't sure how she felt, talking about the pens that had gotten them into an argument the first time they met.
Eva smiled and laughed as well. "Yeah. My father said he had wanted to get one, but he was to slow, and they had sold out by the time he had time to get one." She remembered her father showing her a picture of a Albino Fênix after returning home with the news they were sold out. How beautiful it was. She had been a little disappointed her father had been unable to get one.
Eva thanked Rosie as she handed her the apple and fruit knife, and she began to slice the apple with the knife. She thought for a moment about the question asked. Hopefully, if it did start raining, they would be able to get inside before it was raining too hard. Then, smiling, she gave her answer. "Hopefully fast enough to keep ourselves and our things dry for the most part."

_Ash! I saw some people have ash wands. What is your wand like?_ Rosie placed the story book beside her to open the actual Magic History book. If Eva was going to study she might as well start, taking a chance with the newly discovered motivation. _I still order the pamphlets. I collect them, even if I can't buy the pens. This month is some type of dragon's skin, is a navy blue...Am...What is it called- sorry, it escaped my mind at the moment._ And getting a piece of parchment paper Rosie wrote the header The Gargoyle Strike, a revision.
_Part of me wants it to rain. My morale is somewhat low today, to eat a piece of good cake and hot chocolate while doing something fun would be better. But, I would not forgive myself, I wanna keep an O score._ and then proceeded to keep circulating key terms that needed further exploration on her part later, but also served as a basis for what she needed to understand the most in important order. Works both as a mental map and a draft. _I don't know if i'll be good in magic creatures, I'm definitely looking forward to divination tho._And if she was already full of things to do in the first year imagine in the third.

"My wand is cherry wood. I don't collect the pamphlets, but my parents might. I'm not sure. What is your wand like?" Eva said, scanning through her herbology book, reading the parts she thought would be important for her herbology classes.
"Yeah" Eva agreed. Cake, hot chocolate, the sound of rain, and a fun activity, would be nice. Studying was very important though. Eva had also begun to eat her apple, which she had finished slicing with the knife. It was sweet and delicious. Not that she expected anything else from something like an apple.
"Yeah, divination sounds interesting." This class would be available to them third year. This year opened the options of four new classes to students. Of the four Eva was most excited for Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies. Her mother had shown her a few muggle things when she was younger. It interested her, to learn how muggles lived without magic. As for Care of Magical Creatures, she had been interested in learning about creatures since she was little, as she had told Rosie earlier.
Eva continued reading through her herbology book, pausing every now and then to get a drink of water from her water bottle. Though she was starting to find focusing on her book a little hard, with thoughts of cake, rain, and third year classes, swirling through her mind.
