If you have any questions, feel free to ask as my owl box and DMs are always open.

A cool, overcast Sunday morning. The sort of morning where the skies threatens to rain but never actually does. There is a cool, pleasant breeze coming from the the southwest and if the sun would only peer out from behind the clouds, today would probably be one of those uncomfortable, unseasonably warm days. The test games ended with minimal injuries, but perhaps a shortened lifespan for the Headmaster, his heart skipped a beat every time a student was knocked from their broom. Quidditch being a wizarding pastime, it is one of the few times parents put caution to the wind as they live vicariously through their children and watch them nearly kill each other with bats, bludgers and the unfortunate consequences of gravity.
Headmaster Lear was sitting out of the game, a cup of 'tea' on his lap he had picked a field-side seat shortly before the stands started to fill. Quidditch always summoned the crowds. Students, Professors and even a few guests, mostly magical relatives of some of the players but some were also prominent wizards who can trace their education back to this Scottish magical institution.
The Quidditch Captains: Dan Palmer of Slytherin and Saskia of Hufflepuff would be making their debut. The headmaster was rather curious how their leadership qualities would shine through in such a rough sport. He took a sip of his 'tea' and his face twisted a bit, the acerbic liquid always burned for the first few sips. He scanned the crowd, he wanted to identify the location of the medic. He knew that it was very likely that they would have their work cut out for them today.
Future posts by my character will be elsewhere spectating, this thread is under the moderation control of Kyle DeRook.

Erin was dressed for battle, in this heavy armor-stuff that they make you wear. She did not care for it, she felt weighed down, limited, restricted. It also seemed to be the antithesis of the intend of the game, like wrapping a baseball bat in pillows. Begrudgingly Erin would enter the quidditch field on her bluebottle broom, it was like the minivan of brooms. Yeah, it could seat three comfortably but she was not too keen on sharing a broomshaft with anyone else, even if among all of the dorks on the field the snakes were among the most tolerable.
She would come to a stop somewhere along the perimeter of the field and wait for the rest of her team. If she saw @Quinn Healy ride in on a broom, she would focus on the part-giant intently. Finally, this is her chance to destroy that evil giant once and for all! Well, murder might be a strong word for it, but at the very least assail until injured enough that she could take advantage of his injured state in the Medical Wing later today. She would twirl her bat in her hand and greet the team captain with a nod and in a low voice ask "can I have him?" She would nod towards Quinn if he was out there on the other team. Then she would notice @Reid Kovacs, the evil mastermind of this whole conspiracy. Thump Thump went her heart. Both of them... "Or that one?" A reference towards the second string (not that she would know that at the time) Beater.

Nico was nervous as heck. This morning she had been busy to get her make-up on point. Her pale skin covered in a light layer of foundation, just enough to make her look alive. Today she chose to put her hair up in a pony tail.
If she had to catch the Quaffle, she didn't want to have her hair get in the way. The little dhampir didn't expect she'd end up in first string, but there she was. She felt proud and sick. What if she ruined their chances today? What if the Slytherin students would... hate her because of that?
With a swift shake of her head, she erased those thoughts. Today... she'd focus. Taking in a deep breath, her gaze went up at the spectator towers... Quite some people showed up today.
Nico chose to tweak some things on her Quidditch uniform. Nothing extreme, just for flair and fashion reasons. After her outfit was nearly completely ruined at the duels, Angelique Forktail, her mother, did her best to use her Muggle tricks to make her a new one. This time, it was a white one. On top of that she wore a sweater with a wooly collar that felt nice to her neck. Soft and warm. The cold air of Scotland wouldn't give her a cold in this tournament.
Arriving on the pitch she noticed some familiar faces. One from a time ago, a girl named Erin. Nico ... felt uncomfortable around her, but wouldn't let that show. Erin would be a great Beater for sure... Aslong as she didn't hit her.. Nico would put her fear aside.
Their Team Captain was present aswell. Nico smiled warmly at him as she bowed slightly. 'Good day for a tournament... or something.' She scratched the back of her head as her other hand held tightly onto her Tinderblast.
As her bright red hair gently flew in the wind, Nico eyed at the other team. Carefully figuring out who she'd have to deal with today.

Elena stomped out onto the field and squinted at the sky like it’d killed her puppy.
“One sunny day outside practice that’s all I bloody well ask.” Elena hissed at weather like she could change it through sheer willpower alone, then promptly gave up. As per usual she was in proper quidditch clothes, some of which she’d bought and some of which just got sewn together in a manner that would make The Great British Sewing Bee try to give her a crown.
Eventually after pacing and worrying what will happen when their usual Chaser gets stuck on the bench in favour of someone else, both their beaters go missing, and one of those beaters turns into a damn keeper. Elena instead decided to stare of into the middle distance, moving through different plays in her head.
Eventually though, it was time to get on the field, so the girl saluted a goodbye to Dan, “See you on the field Cap, I’ll be ready to catch ya.”

Santario walked out on the field wearing her emerald and black quidditch uniform with extreme pride, adrenaline rushing through her veins and a grin spread across her face. Her long raven hair was pleated into a French braid to ensure that it could not get in the way. Although she was only the second-string keeper, she was going to be ready and able in case anything happened to Koko. Though as much as she wanted to play she hoped nothing bad happened to Koko to cause San the need to be in the game.
Before going to the bench to would approach her first-string teammates. “Good luck guys! Let’s destroy them!” With that she would make her way over to the side of the field and stand by their bench where the other second-string players would soon join her. She would not sit down until the game started.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
Why Hufflepuff?
Everyone should have known by now that Hufflepuff was the most antagonistic house, so naturally it was going against the Noble and resourceful house of Slytherin. Still, Koko couldn't see why any evil Hufflepuff could be allowed to play Quidditch. That was a foul in itself. The behaviour that Koko had seen quite a few Hufflepuffs portray was quite disturbing, and that made her wonder how any one of those antagonistic creatures was allowed here.
The sky was pleasantly cloudy, and a gusty wind whipped the Keeper's pale hair around, leaving a smile on her face. It was fine flying weather. Of course, this was thought by a girl who had flown in not one but two storms, so her opinion could hardly be counted on the matter seeing as she quite liked it.
She was gripping her broom, a Nimbus 1700, in her left hand as she strode out onto the field. She was ready.

Thora trudged towards the Quidditch Pitch, clad in dark green Quidditch robes and rickety school broom in hand. Having just visited the broom shed to grab a broom, the redhead was covered in dust. Thora was much too poor to afford a broom, so naturally, a school broom was her only choice--at least for now. Pausing at the entrance, the girl marveled at the many students in the stands, getting ready to watch the game.
As she walked over to the sidelines, she glanced at the team. The snek knew most of the players on the field and had seen them around, one way or another. A flash of brown hair told her that Bridget Collins, a girl she more or less considered a friend, was here. Good. Thora thought. She was only a second string beater, but wasn't quite ready to play yet. Why had she even signed up for Quidditch? She wasn't strong, wasn't involved, had no reason to be on the Quidditch Team.
Thora wanted to try something new. Although ironically, she had signed up for beater--the worst position she could possibly play, as she was incredibly weak--at least she had a chance of making it on the team. At first, the redhead had wished for another position, seeker or perhaps chaser--something that would better fit her skills. But the girl wanted a spot on the team, and beater just happened to be the opening. Anyways, the girl desperately wanted to try something new, but wasn't ready yet. So thankfully, she had received a second string position so she could get a front row spot for the game and play. Maybe. At least for now, she could cheer her beloved House on.Action | Entering the pitch and finding a seat on a bench, ready to fill in if needed

Breathe in, breath out. Nerves ran high and Bridget closed her eyes for a moment. She did want to be here. This year she was over hanging out by herself in the Library. If she was going to be friendless, she might as well experience as much of Hogwarts as possible. And so she'd participated in her first duel, having an overall great experience despite losing. Now she was here, on the Slytherin Quidditch team, about to play a game in front of hundreds of eyes... nope, she didn't even want to think about that, unless she had a desire to puke. Not to mention, she was going to be a beater. She was pretty much the smallest person on the team, but the snakes had needed another beater so here she was.
But some good had come out of all of this. There, across the locker room, was Thora Larkston, a girl she was just about ready to count as a friend. Bridget gave her a weak smile. Gripping the shaft of her Shooting Star, the cheap broom she'd bought with her few Galleons but a broom nonetheless, she shifted her weight and fiddled with her forest colored uniform. Her thick brown hair was tied out of her face in a ponytail and her 'armor' was all strapped and ready to go, but honestly she doubted it would help much against the bludgers. Oh yeah. She forget about the whole 'the-job-of-a-beater-is-to-try-and-almost-but-not-actually-kill-people' part. Great.
Finally it was time to step out onto the field, which was good because she didn't think she could stand the suspense any longer. The sky was overcast, which was a good thing--the previous year's match had been in a rather violent storm. Taking one last deep breath and tuning out the roaring of the crowd, she steeled her expression. Now was the moment to tough up and get ready to play some Quidditch.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
Hufflepuff! Of all the houses, it just had to be the one of yellow. Those happy folk... Alexx did not want to find out, so early on into the season, just how "unafraid of toil" they could get. It wasn't that she lacked self-confidence, because Tex spent practically all summer training her, so there would be no reason to fear. Instead, she was more worried about who was on the team. While Alexx may have been a relentless Slytherin, she didn't want to find out that she might be bludgering her friends this evening.
Aside from that, she was confident. There was no reason not to be. Quidditch was more than just a game to Alexx; it was a way of life. Lack of confidence meant losing. There was no way, not while Alexx was on this team, that she would ever be the cause of a loss. Everyone needed to be confident. "Everyone" could very easily start with her.
And alas, Alexx was atop her own broom. No more worn-out and ugly school brooms for her! While her Nimbus 1500 was certainly a few notches down from her Moontrimmer, she didn't mind at all. In fact, there was sympathy in her heart for those who were riding the wooden shafts that she had originally started on.
Her eyes flickered to her badger opponents. Reid... How could she guess? Her eyes rolled, glancing away from him. Whatever. Today wasn't about Reid. She'd knock him off his broom too just as quick as she would anyone, if not quicker. If anything, the resentment that she suddenly felt would be a good motive for the rest of the game. One less distraction, anyway.
Her focus then turned towards her team. It was different than the people that she had originally been flying with... She knew that there would be change, but she was certainly hoping to see Ruby back as a first-string. While she was familiar with almost everyone, the only falter in her confidence would be that she wasn't sure if she could trust these people. But she pushed the thought aside, got where she needed to be, and waited for Dan's que.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
It was a well-known fact that Carson had a hard time sitting still, especially when he was nervous. It was unsurprising to those who knew him that he was bouncing on the balls of his feet, twirling his old, splintered, school broom in his hands, and fidgeting with his glasses all at once. Occasionally, he’d abandon the excessive glasses-moving to run a hand through his curly brown hair, or to scan the crowd of students, looking for any of his friends.
He was well-aware that Dan, a really close friend of his, was the captain of the opposing team, but the two had agreed that there would not be any bad blood between them pregame.
Letting out a huff of air, he mounted his broom, flying into position. He recognized a few of the members of the opposing team— Dan, obviously, Koko Riddle, aka the girl who had set Dale Kurt’s robes on fire at Maggie’s costume party last year, Nico Shymane, who’d given Carson quite the first impression last year by scaring the shit out of him in the Abandoned Toilets, and Erin Ryan, who he’d recently had a rather unpleasant experience with in the Dungeons at around midnight.
Yeah, he wasn’t too happy about the fact that the only people he knew from the other team, besides Dan, weren’t really his buds, per se. Carson, again, found himself getting nervous, and he quickly shook his head, as if the motion would keep his mind from wandering.
