Alexx didn't even know what hit her. Well, she knew what hit her. She just wasn't expecting it. Luckily, Alexx was durable. That was her only saving grace. Had she been any less than what she was, which wasn't a lot as it were, then she would have tumbled to the ground. And poor Dan- the kid went flying down. She didn't even know what had become of him, and she didn't care. All she knew was that everything hurt.

And that was it. Game over. Slytherin won. Alexx, in any other state, would have been thrilled. However, her side was pulsating. She could feel every bone in her body, all absolutely aching. "Aching" was an understatement. Through gritted teeth and tears that were getting harder and harder to push back, she had made her way back to her respective locker room. Congratulating her team, she left. Lying straight through her teeth about how much this hurt.

The wind had been knocked out of her for sure. She didn't think that she could make the trek back to the school. Especially not to the Hospital Wing. Not on her own, anyway. What a thrill this had been, up until she received the hardest hit in her life. Alexx had never actually played a real game of Quidditch before this. She knew all the rules, thanks to Tex, and was pretty decent at most everything. Though she didn't contribute a whole lot, it was a learning experience for her. There was always next time. And hey, even at that, her team won, so what did it matter?

As she was making her exit, a familiar Hufflepuff, one with tanned skin and cute curly hair, caught her eye. Of course, Reid Kovacs would be here. Reid Kovacs liked Quidditch if she remembered correctly. In fact, he appeared to like sports in general. A stereotypical boy; active, charismatic, and a little bit stupid. But his messy attire gave that all away, just by looking at him.

She did not wish to be in the rain any longer than she had to. Alexx hated the rain. She didn't like the way that grass and dirt would attach to your skin, or the way your shoes sunk down into the ground. She hated all of that. She wanted back inside this instant. Not only because her side felt like every bone had been broken, but because she hated the fucking rain.

Alexx was definitely a princess. You would not have expected someone who loves Quidditch to also be a pompous, stuck-up, prissy little brat. However, that was her. Spoiled rotten. Right down to the very core. She wasn't dumb, she just liked pampering. She liked things to go her way, more so than the average person. So groaning and cinching her eyebrows in frustration, which is what she was doing now, was totally in character for the 12-year-old.

But she knew better than to put on that show in front of Reid Kovacs. The only person, at this given moment, that seemed to tolerate her. Alexx was smart. She waited until after someone had gotten comfortable to show her other side.

Waving her hand weakly, wincing as she did, she offered Reid a half-smile, one that quickly died as the pain came back. Had she really broken something? Well, it was nothing that a nurse couldn't fix. Broken bones were no problem in the wizarding world. But for as long as it was broken, if anything really was broken, it was going to inconvenience Alexx. If she were lucky, she could brush Reid off quickly, making her grand escape. She wasn't exactly the type to show people that she was in pain. She wasn't the type to want to appear weak and vulnerable unless she just really wanted to. A paradox is what she was. An absolute paradox.

chill babe. we're all bad in someone's story.
