Secret Blossom Ball
Oswald made his way to the Quidditch Pitch where the main events of the Blossom Ball happend. The big open place with several more bubbled candles and flowers seemed kind of surreal to him. It fascinated him that despite his status of Second Year student, witchcraft and it effects still seemed to amaze him every now and then. He looked around the place and spotted several students wearing nice and elegant dresses and suits. He was clearly underdressed but did not care that much; he only came to have a fun time.Open for interactions

His eyes fell on a big set of tables full of food and drinks. He made his way to the table and began to inspect them. There was no sign of what the drinks were. Ozzy decided to test his luck and reached for a glass full of yellow-ish clear liquid. He smelled it softly and immediatly recognized what it contained; a sweet fruit-ish scent, mixed with a slight sour note. He took a small sip of it; applejuice, just as he expected! He grabbed one of the many plates and placed some salmon, cooked vegetables and sauce on it.
Oswald made his way to a bunch of big tables and seats to find a nice place to sit down and relax. His sight wandered around the room, until he spotted a male student, most likely a fellow Second Year one. He inspected his outfit and noticed the lack of shoes. Could it be....? At this place? He walked closer , stopped to inspect again. Yes, he was sure, definitly! He made his way to the table and sat down infront of him , but did not interact with him at first. He was not sure if it was really him or just a look-alike. Even if it was Dan, Ozzy did not know how he would react. Would he be angry? Would he be sad? Maybe happy and full of joy to see him again? Or..... and that thought dreaded him the most..... simply would not react at all?

Secret Blossom Ball
Interacting with @Ruka Tân
Mentioning @Flash Holmwood @Astrea Soleil Neptune
The more the night went on, the more it seemed like Ruka really didn't want to be there with her. Had he regretted accepting her invitation? They definitely weren't close at all, but that was the point of this, right? She was performing an awkward dance with him that she had no time to rehearse, and they hadn't even reached the real dance floor. Willow was starting to have her doubts about the night, but she wasn't about to run away now. She was done with running.
In the time that Ruka was gone, Willow had also spent her time examining who was there. Her friends were scattered through the party and she found solace in knowing that if Ruka never returned she wouldn't be completely alone. Among the crowd she happened to spot her brother, Flash. He had looked absolutely dashing, seeming like he belonged within a place of fancy ball gowns and tailored suits. A proud smile for the one she held so dear to her spread across her face like wildfire. His date was also lovely, and it occurred to her that she had no idea about any of Flash's relationships outside of her really. Was the Quidditch Co-Captain his girlfriend? She would have to ask him at a different time. For now, Ruka was back and she was determined to make sure he at least had a decent evening.
It really wasn't hard to know that this wasn't the full story. He was absolutely valid in not wanting to be touched but there was absolutely more to this, she knew it. But she didn't want to push if he didn't want to talk about it. "Ah, I'm sorry. I should've asked before doing it. I noticed you weren't a big hugger after a couple of them, but I should've translated that to other touch as well. Thank you for telling me, Ruka." She paused, she just... couldn't let it go. "If for some reason we need to step outside for any reason, even if it's avoidance of someone, just say the word and we can go. Otherwise you might catch the attention of who you're avoiding, dipping in and out by yourself. I asked you to come with me for a reason, so anyway I can help you with what's going on just let me know." A gentle hint that she knew this wasn't everything, but that she wasn't going to pry anymore. Friends were there for each other. She did want to lighten the mood a bit so she tried to crack a joke. "I may be small but I can climb someone like a beanstalk in less than a second and take them out like I did with Jack, not your Jack, my Jack, he’s a Hufflepuff. Not that he’s like mine, we’re not dating. I just meant like he’s the Jack I know opposed to the Slytherin Jack.” Things with Jack were weird and it was obvious in her tone of voice and immediate defense of them not dating despite no one accusing her of it. The point remained, “So, if you need a hitman I can also provide that for you."
The 129cm girl eating a cutesy cupcake truly did think she was capable of striking fear into many people's hearts.
Willow's eyes flicked back to the entrance every now and again to see who was arriving and there was a certain girl that caught her eye. She was absolutely elegant as always, looking much more dressed up than Willow had been. Had she under dressed for this? She really didn't know what to expect in a ball, but it was obvious that Astrea did. Her breath caught in her throat at the absolute beauty of the Slytherin. She was always someone that caught her off guard, even just in her appearance. Willow made a note to go say hi to her later, but again. She had a date to tend to.
Willow's eyes landed back on the sticks and thought of another purpose for them, specific to Ruka. "I bet fire dancing can come in quite handy if anything were to go wrong tonight, which honestly I'm preparing for with everything that's happened here in the past couple months." An obvious shiver went down her spine as she thought about the Hufflepuff fire. "How long have you been doing that? And how does one even decide to get into fire dancing as a hobby... as a kid?" It was another way they were different, Willow took up friendship bracelets, Ruka took up an extremely dangerous and highly skilled performance art. It only made her more eager to know him more.

He was first approached by Tyranni, on business of course. She looked divine, though more the kind of divine one would use to describe a legendary warrior. Seriousness on her face as usual, she greeted Evelynn before asking if her and Flash could speak alone.Outfit:Reducio
”It’s alright, Miss Tyranni. If it’s about the plan, you can include Miss Evelynn.” It was brief, but he had explained the situation to her. If she was going to be his first lieutenant for the night, she would have to stay as informed as she could.
Once that had been negotiated, she explained some of the information she had already gathered. He could be frightened of Tyranni’s meticulous powers of espionage if she wasn’t already his ally. He was glad she would be keeping an eye on Marion herself, she was doing everyone a favor by being there when she didn’t want to be. Flash would have liked to sit down with her and ask her about her thoughts on justice and punishment, but neither of them were there for enlightening discussion.
She brought Victor’s bag to attention, as well as given his date’s name-- Wren Caster. He hadn’t met her yet, so he was thankful for the right words to use. When he looked over briefly at the three, he saw the bag in question, as well as the solemn approach of a nervous Arlo Reynolds. It seems both their dates had arrived. It wouldn’t be long before they would grab refreshments or go dance.
For all accounts, Victor and Marion looked happy. It would be nice if the two of them could enjoy themselves and have a normal evening. Flash honestly wished for that.
As Tyranni left to look as inconspicuous as she could in war paint, Flash’s eyes betrayed him to look back over to where Ruka was sitting. Except he was gone. Willow was sitting alone picking at some food on a plate. Given a moment in time to reflect, he thought Willow had chosen quite an interesting ensemble. She was quite good at choosing outfits, though this one lacked the bright pastels that fit her exuberant personality.
Ah, and she was wearing the hair ornament he got her. That was… a good feeling. He saw Willow nearly every day, the two of them were normally inseparable. She wasn’t a part of this though. The fire in the Hufflepuff commons had given them all a heavy heaping of trauma. They weren’t like the Slytherins, who instead planned for a war of retaliation. One that was doomed to fail, like an upset child banging his fists on the table to get his way.
That was when Ruka returned out of his periphery. Wait… they aren’t… they can’t be… together? It was hard to rationalize anything else when they sat so close and talked at length. Why hadn’t he checked to see who Willow was taking? Perhaps he should have chosen someone for her, someone more fitting. Someone who was anyone but Ruka.
Though that was hardly fair. Ruka deserved to have a good time as much as anyone else, and no one created more of a ‘good time’ atmosphere than his beloved sister Willow. Perhaps it was actually perfect. Willow was emotionally intelligent, after all, or at least for her age she was. She had been through a lot herself, yet combatted it by becoming stronger and happier in spite of it. Ruka, on the other hand, walked through his problems with thick skin and balled up fists. They had plenty they could teach each other about coping.
That was, however, only a distraction. He couldn’t let himself keep tabs on people who were only just having a peaceful evening. Honestly, he also couldn’t walk up to Victor and ask him what was in his bag either. It was completely out of the question, if there was something suspicious in the bag, he would immediately be alerted to the fact that Flash was watching him. Instead, he just stayed mindful of it. Perhaps if it was left completely unattended he might send one of his conscripts to go and check it for him.
It did seem as though Dan Palmer and Thomas Lestrange had arrived as well, though he admittedly trusted the two of them a lot less than the girls. Less for the fact that they didn’t care about the outcome, but that they very well could have their own plans for how to spend their time, regardless of what was said at the round table a few nights ago.
As things stood, nothing was currently going wrong. Flash should have felt glad, but he knew it was only a matter of time.

The food was grand. Dan then decided to try the 'yoohoo' drink.Open to interactions. Interacting with @Oswald Vanigton
He shook it violently, opened it, and took a drink.
It was WONDERFUL. A delightful chocolate milk drink. While it was certainly not going to replace his favorite drinks, this 'yoohoo' was a marvel. Even though you wouldn't think so, it went pretty well with fried chicken.
It was at this point, that someone sat down in front of him. Dan had not expected someone to take an interest in him. One, he was at the ball alone, and two, he had thought everyone else had come with a date.
When he looked up to see who it was, he almost went into shock. The glasses. The tightly curly red hair, the adorable face.
It was Ozzy.
Dan regained his senses, got up, and wrapped his arms tightly around the English German love of his life. He sobbed into Ozzy's shoulder. Never had he been so happy and relieved to see someone.
Then came the inevitable part.
"Where teh shaggin' hell'v ye been?! Ye had me so worried I couldn't half sleep at night! What happened? I've missed ye so much!"
This was one of the happiest moments of little Dan's life. His Curly haired love was back.

Interacting with @Katrina WalkerOpen to interactionsMore and more people were starting to appear from the entrance, as well as some people decided to leave the main area. River imagined they were probably heading to the changing rooms or something, looking for their friends or partners. Going to these things alone was actually pretty nice. You had no one to look for and you can go wherever you feel like, it’s all up to you. The memories of the previous ball began popping up in River head. It was truly a disaster, and even though she didn’t catch a lot of the blossom ball action, she definitely got a good look at the aftermath as she was part of the clean up crew.
Cold eyes scanned the crowd, trying to find someone she could safely go up and strike a conversation with. And as if on cue, a person walked in through the doors. Katrina had arrived. River didn’t know her too well, byt the had an encounter in the library one time earlier, and also they were both in the same club. The gryffindor talked with another student River didn’t recognise, and then she walked towards some of the tables on the side of the field. Katrina seemed to have the same idea as River, just sit down and watch for a bit. Rivers feet began carrying her across the floor towards the girl.
Zigzagging through the crowd of students, River slowly made her way to the table that Katrina was sitting by. She tried catching her attention by giving Katrina a wave and a smile, but because of all the other people she probably didn't reach through. “Hey, It’s nice to see you here”, River said with a smile as she approached the table. ”Mind if I take a seat?”, She asked and nodded down to a chair next to the girl. River was usually quite hesitant to approach others, afraid she’d interrupt anyone minding their own business. But after all, this was an event to socialize and converse with other students and have some fun. River had at least decided she was going to try to have some fun, even if her instincts told her to recede into a corner and stay hidden away til the whole thing was over.Reducio

Enters thread from Changing Room
Nothing since her initial arrival at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry had quite inspired such a reaction of awe as when Evelynn emerged onto the Quidditch Pitch from the changing room. To say that she was impressed would be a gross understatement. She hadn't known what to expect. All notions of underground, back-alley plannings of illicit parties had risen images of dark smoke-filled rooms or hazy bars. Granted, the only thing she really had to compare against were those few scenes in adult shows that she had spied before being shooed from the room by her mother. From what she had understood, this was a student organized event. Nothing with any real support or sanctioning. Something along the same realm as the Talent Show. Perhaps she was expecting décor along what she had seen there: streamers, and faux carpeting, perhaps chairs and tables organized haphazardly around a general clearing that would be used for a dance floor.
This, though... This was beyond anything she had expected. Realistically, had she not known already that this was the Pitch, she might not even have realized it was anything other than a lovingly tended garden scape of a well-to-do manor. An enchanted oasis. And as Evelynn met up with her escort on the other side of the changing rooms, she couldn't help but be struck by an amusing thought: it was like the Garden of Eden. Perfect. Ethereal. A realm all unto itself. Was she Eve, then? And would that then make Flash the serpent to lead her to the sinful fruit of knowledge? She smirked slightly at the idea. She almost felt guilty at how quickly she knew she would indulge.
Almost.
"I picked well," she chimed, the tone of her voice still flecked by the amusement of her train of thoughts, as her eyes roamed shamelessly over his form. It wasn't like it sparked any sort of desire (she was only twelve, after all, and with no silly notions of love or flirtation). But even at this age, she could appreciate the aesthetic of a good looking individual.
Granted, it wasn't as though Holmwood was the only serpent to slither into this particular garden. Resting a hand upon the arm offered to her, she allowed herself to be guided into the midst of the gathering, which permitted her gaze to wander elsewhere. Almost immediately, her attention was drawn to an individual (Victor Moore) dressed almost entirely in white. A stark contrast to the gradually dimming sky and soft hues of the environment, his attire practically screamed notice me.
"He sure isn't trying to blend in," Evelynn commented dryly to Flash from the corner of her mouth, the hint of a smirk tugging at her lips.
Naturally, knowing only a name and not a face, she hadn't the faintest idea he happened to be one of the individuals upon whom she'd attempted to set several of her own peers for questioning. Her smirk faded slightly as she noticed who it was attending him. None other than Wren Caster. The slightest purse of her lips and lidded gaze were all the commentary she would provide on that particular individual. The mere sight of the girl brought with it a flare of impatient indignation and the sting of a cheek. Despite the apology she had received at the end of their last real encounter, Evelynn hadn't forgotten the foolish outcry that had preceded it. Nor was she likely to soon forgive it.
Unfortunately, her focus upon them lead her to miss Flash's own similar reaction, and by the time she peeled her gaze away to cast him a sidelong glance, he was peering elsewhere. "See anyone of interest?" She wondered, noting his gaze wandering the distant stands.
She, too, turned her attention in their direction, but as she did, a familiar gut-wrenching sensation fell over her, one to curl the toes and set the hairs at the back of one's neck on end. It was a feeling she had grown somewhat accustomed to, and one that she had finally identified. Stormy hues set in search of a certain raven-haired Slytherin (Astrea Neptune). Evelynn still hadn't quite figured out what it was about the girl that set her so on edge, but she half-suspected her of being a dhampir.
"Miss Evelynn, the dressing rooms."
Her search interrupted by the summons, Evelynn abandoned the pursuit, instead panning her gaze in the direction Holmwood had requested. It was interesting, really. There had been no question in her mind, no hesitation of what it was she was supposed to do. Evidently, theirs was to be a dance of a different sort. Rather than across the ballroom, they would step to a conspicuous orchestra only they and a select few others could hear. He guided her with the precision of a practiced lead; and she followed his cues.
Spying Opeila Seilun as the girl bee-lined for the reformed locker rooms, Evelynn was all prepared to head in after her when the call to stop made her swivel a bemused look upon her escort. "Oh?" She mused, cocking a brow. "Why the sudden change of—"
But she would never quite finish her question. Her own name cut through their immediate vicinity, pulling her attention away from Flash and onto a rather unexpected called. It was Tyranni Whitethorn, co-captain of the Slytherin Team despite not holding a playing position herself.
"Whitethorn," Evelynn reacted with pleasant surprise, defaulting to her usual use of surnames for all but the closest of her circle. Which meant everyone except for Flash, really; and only because he had insisted on the use of his given name. "I...thank you," she replied, genuinely taken aback by the girl's comment. "And you look ready for a battle," she commented with a rueful grin. "Positively fierce."
As her Slytherin counter-part expressed her desire to steal away her escort, however, Evelynn conceded with the shrug of a brow and lilt of her chin. "By all means."
Extricating her hand from Flash's arm, she prepared to retreat several paces to leave the two their privacy, already dropping her hands once again to absently smooth down the front of her dress before folding politely against her lap. A sentinel, that's how she felt at Flash's side. By all appearances, she had dressed for the formality of the occasion, had been provided by the sponsors of HHAWT with a gown and foxfur stole far beyond her means. This was a front, however. She had come prepared, wearing comfortable boots that housed her wand within a protective sheath worked into one of her boot's interior lining. She would have stood, then, a solitary watcher while she waited, free to roam her eyes once more upon the scene before her. Only, she would never quite get so far. After not so much as even a step away, Holmwood spoke up to advocate for her inclusion in the conversation, something that left her unexpectedly touched. It made sense, really, for her to be kept just as informed as he, as well as to let the others involved be aware of her alliance. Even still, it left her with an unfamiliar warm and fuzzy feeling.
"Wait, that's Moore?"
The rhetoric came muttered from under her breath with the realisation, and she had to resist the very strong urge to snap her sights back on the white-clad boy she had seen with Caster. Two of three identities were now known to her, then. The last would be Davenport. The help her tongue for the rest of the report, slow piecing additional bits of information together. Only, what remained in the wake of Whitethorn's departure were only a thousand new questions.
"Did you see Davenport?" Evelynn inquired, casting Holmwood a curious look from the corner of her eye while taking care to keep her voice low and conspiratorial. "And remind me; who is Thomas, again? Did you mention him earlier?"

Logan let out a huff of air was she walked out of the changing room and into the Quidditch pitch. She could already see a lot of people talking to one another and instinctively she wrapped her arms around herself for a bit of comfort.Action: Entering from changing rooms
The young Hufflepuff couldn't really see anyone that she knew. She recognized a few as some of her housemates, but she had never talked to them before in her life and wasn't about to start now. The girl was honestly rethinking everything and was ready to head back to change and go to her dorm. She could have at least read a good book in the common room while everyone else was out.
Walking towards one side of tables, Logan began to search for an empty one and luckily found one. Every time she came to an event like this she told herself she was going to make friends, and so far she never did. It was always nervous stuttering before she would leave out of embarrassment.
"Why do I do this to myself?" she muttered as she sat down at the table, observing the people that sat around talking to others or even just watching. Logan gently tugged at her hands nervously, normally had her family balls she was perfectly able to socialize with others, although those were times she just needed to impress her father, now she wasn't trying to impress anyone and had no idea what to do.
The young Hufflepuff looked up at the candles floating above her and smiled softly as she took a deep breath in, trying to calm herself. Maybe she would be able to convince herself to talk to other people tonight. She highly doubted it but she could at least try and tell herself that it was going to happen.
Logan decided she was, for the time being, just going to sit there and maybe someone would come and talk to her. Until then she was going to sit and admire the other girls' dresses. She could tell that some of the girls had gone all out, wearing full ball gowns with their makeup and hair done, while others wore simple spring dresses and sneakers.

Grace was really excited to see Savannah, she could tell because she screamed Annah’s name and flung herself onto her, Savannah took a step back as Grace hugged her, she felt like she was suffocating, but Grace seemed to notice that as she let go. “Sorry I’m later Grace, I thought I wouldn’t be, Annah said, “Annah! Wanna go dance?” Grace asked, Savannah shook her head, and so Grace went on her own. Grace later came back with two drinks that Annah never seen in her life, Savannah stared at Grace “It’s a chocolate drink from America, it’s really good” Grace explained to her, Annah smiled so that’s what it was. Annah never been to America, she’s never been in North America ever in her life, which most people would be shocked, but she thought it was fine, Savannah drank her chocolate drink, and honestly, it was pretty good, not the best thing she’s ever tasted but one of them. As Savannah took more sips she got lost in thought, not noticing anything happening around her at all, she was thinking about what her family was doing back home, what crazy stuff her sister was planning, she didn’t notice anything that was happening, which wasn’t a good thing, was it?

Ruka was quite sure that Willow could pick up on his discomfort, no matter how hard he tried to hide it behind little smalls and forced laughs here and there. He really wanted to enjoy the evening, wanted to get to know Willow better; She seemed like such a nice girl who had gone through so much worth talking about, but they had simply started off the evening on the wrong foot and with Ruka's mind fixing on one things at a time quite obsessively, there was only one thing he could concentrate on as they sat by the table and Willow was talking.
Flash.
His eyes kept drifting off to find the Slytherin around the dance floor, his brows furrowing in concentration as he followed his every move. He didn't seem all that attached to who Ruka assumed to be his date - The Quidditch Co-Captain of the Gryffindor Team, Evelynn - but rather busy scanning the surroundings like he was waiting for something specific to happen, someone to do something that would prompt him into action.
He wasn't supposed to care about that, wasn't supposed to waste a second thought on what exactly Flash was up to. The Slytherin liked to observe people to best know which mask to wear around them, right? A social event like this was surely the perfect opportunity to practice any and all acts in his repertoire.
There didn't have to be anything suspicious about that, right?
His attention refocused on Willow again as she talked about how sneaking in and out by himself might draw the attention of whoever he was avoiding, and for a second Ruka thought that she knew exactly what was going on, that Flash had probably told her about what had happened at her Birthday Party the second they had gotten a moment to themselves, but a split second later he shook that thought.
No, Willow didn't seem like she really knew what was going on; She must have simply picked up on the anxious expression on his face, the tension in his shoulders, and the fact that he had just left not too long ago. It was almost flattering how sensitive she was towards his feelings, and he offered her a grateful, genuine smile.
"I appreciate that," he said honestly before she continued talking about something he assumed was supposed to be light small talk but really just turned out to make him feel more awkward and confused with every word she spoke. The name Jack made his interest perk for a second, but confusion took over when she rectified that she was talking about her Jack, which made absolutely no sense. Wasn't Jack one of her bullies?
No, apparently he was a Hufflepuff she had... climbed like a beanstalk?
Except, he wasn't her Jack and they weren't dating, which was an odd thing to specify considering Ruka had in no way given any hint that that was something he had assumed in the first place.
Deciding not to comment on the mess of words that had just left Willow's mouth like a waterfall, Ruka decided simply to smile and nod a little awkwardly, giving the girl a gentle pat on the shoulder. "Alright," he said, an insecure chuckle leaving his lips. Was this what small talk was supposed to be like? Just strings of nonsensical sentences to break the silence?
Ruka was unsure about social etiquette, but he felt like he would have preferred silence over this.
His eyes travelled across the dance floor again to find Flash one more time, the last time, he told himself. The Slytherin was still there, still looking proper as ever, still seeming like he had a purpose, a mission to concentrate on that extended far beyond taking care of his date. In fact it seemed like he had abandoned Evelynn completely for the moment to instead talk to a girl Ruka thought he vaguely recognised from somewhere. He thought to have seen her at Opeila's birthday, as well as in the Great Hall when Willow had taught some students how to make friendship bracelets.
If Ruka wasn't severely mistaken, she was a Slytherin as well.
His eyes narrowed suspiciously for a moment as he tried to figure out why it seemed that, while everyone else was seemingly just here to have a good time, all these snake kids seemed to be gearing up for a battle.
Before he could think about it any more, however, Willow had taken the initiative to start yet another conversation, this time about a topic she was probably sure would appeal to him and was therefore a fool proof way to make him feel included and encouraged to share. It may have even worked, under normal circumstances; he was tempted to give the sweet Hufflepuff and her cupcake sandwich some information about his life, but the sight of all those Slytherins roaming the ball like a bunch of dragons ready to set fire to either friend or foe wouldn't leave his mind.
"Uhh," he started awkwardly, directing a small smile in Willow's direction. "My dad taught me. I've been doing it for as long as I can remember." With a little kick of his left foot he managed to move the sticks a little further under the table, as if to hide them for emergencies. Just like Willow had said, there was a big chance for things to be going wrong soon enough, and at least this way he knew he'd be able to grab some make shift torches from under this specific table.
He was going to say something else, anything to keep the conversation going, but as his eyes found Flash again despite his better judgment, he realised something curious.
Flash was looking back at him.
Ruka couldn't be sure if it was because of him specifically, or if the Slytherin was possibly just checking in on how Willow was doing, but the sudden eye contact made him freeze for a second, breath catching in his throat as he felt his ears heat up with shame and resentment.
"Actually, Willow," he said apologetically, lifting a hand to rub his eyes as if to clean his retinas of the sight of Flash looking his way. "Would you excuse me for a while? Maybe go mingle a bit? I promise I'll come find you again, there's just... something I want to do." With a pursed smile he stood up, not waiting for her to give a real answer before he made his way through the crowd, determined steps leading him directly in Flash's direction.
Stupid, he thought to himself as he came closer and closer to the Slytherin. So stupid to be walking right into the spider web that had brought him nothing but misery the last time he'd found himself in it, but he couldn't help it. His curiosity, his need to know pulled him towards Flash like metal to a magnet. His breath sped up as he came close enough to be obvious in his approach, but he wasn't going to back out of this impulse decision now that he was this close.
His eyes drifted to Evelynn resuming her place next to Flash like it was second nature for her to be there, like the second part to Flash's puzzle piece for the evening. It was so picture perfect that it had no chance of actually seeming real in Ruka's point of view, but what did he really know about people aside from the fact that he didn't like the vast majority of them?
"Evelynn," he said amicably as he approached the pair with a little smile on his face. He had not really had much interaction with the Quidditch Co-Captain before, but he thought it was probably only polite to address her with a little nod. "You look lovely." It was no lie; Her dress seemed to match Flash's suit beautifully and it accentuated the vibrant red of her hair which she had done up elegantly, some strands of it falling delicately across her neck.
Ruka could understand why someone like Flash would enjoy being seen with a girl as pretty as Evelynn.
"I was wondering if I could steal a dance," he continued, gaze slowly drifting towards Flash, eyebrows raised in a request that didn't allow for rejection.
I could say so many things, he thought vindictively, the smile on his face saying as much. So many things you wouldn't want out in the open.
Ruka wasn't one for blackmail, didn't like to think of himself as the kind of person who would use information on people against them in any way, but he didn't think a dance was such a negative thing to ask for. Maybe it would even turn out beneficial for both of them.
"Our last encounter didn't end so pleasantly, Flash," he pointed out with all the social grace he could muster. It wasn't like him to be talking through feigned politeness like this; He wasn't good at this game, didn't feel comfortable playing it, but this was a social event, and Flash had respectable company, so Ruka was going to dig all his best manners out of his pockets for this occasion. "I was hoping to make up for that. I wouldn't keep you too long either. One dance is all I ask."

Secret Blossom Ball
Aaron was taken aback by the girl's hostile attitude. Had it been something he said? As he thought about how perfectly cordial he had been, the twelve-year-old could feel himself getting heated. What was her problem? Why had she come to his Blossom Ball, taken his Yoohoo, and then think it was okay to insult him? His eyes narrowed as the unnamed Asian girl asked him about being an "enthusiast." As he opened his mouth to retort, though, his anger instantly vanished.Ending Interaction with @Calanthe Choi
Interacting with @Saskia Nicholson and @Annie Morgan
The dark-haired girl had tripped, and she spilled everything in her arms. Then she fell on her bum. Maybe karma really did exist. Rather than offer to help, Aaron's passive aggression showed itself as he turned on his heel and walked away. He wasn't going to let this girl ruin his night! He had just wanted to take the opportunity to make new friends, but clearly that girl wasn't interested. His dark eyes swiveled to focus on the rest of the crowd, and his features only relaxed when he saw two very familiar faces.
Saskia and Annie. His mood did a complete 180 and the girl in the red sweater was left forgotten. There were much more important people here tonight. People he actually wanted to impress.
As he approached the two girls, Aaron was practically buzzing with excitement. Did they love the pitch decorated like this? Did they know he had been involved? Did they think the idea for the brooms as a quick escape was absolutely brilliant? The black-haired wizard nervously fidgeted with the sunflower boutonniere on his suit jacket as he approached his upperclassmen. He was both excited and petrified to hear their opinions. These were his his Quidditch superiors, and his possible future friends/colleagues (once he was officially off the waitlist, of course). Flying with them in the unofficial match a couple weeks ago had been the start of his whole Quidditch career, and he would never forget that. They had made him feel included and important, and that's what made the match insanely fun!
"Annie, Saskia, hey!" he exclaimed, finally within speaking distance. In the end, he had decided to focus on being excited rather than nervous, so that was the feeling he exuded. "Isn't this amazing?" The boy was completely oblivious to any cute moment he may have ruined with his approach. He was beaming at the two girls with the excitement of a kid in a candy store. "Who knew the Quidditch Pitch could transform like this, right?"
After a second, he quickly realized his error and spoke again. "You guys both look amazing! I like your dresses," he complimented, knowing that girls put a lot of effort into their outfits for things like this. And the pair really did look amazing. Saskia had on a really cute blue dress that fit right into the flowery spring theme, and Annie had a really pretty pink dress that fit the fairytale theme. He was glad that at least they had taken the idea of the ball seriously and were here to have fun (unlike a certain red-sweater-wearing girl he had met).
