Secret Blossom Ball

She was disappointed in Victor. The mirror being more important than the now. When did he become such a narcissist. Looking into his own green eyes while he introduced himself over and over again like some sort of idiot. She would swat him on the back of his head with her hand. "Stop like ignoring me!" She complained.
So mean.
He hoped Vlad was not coming. "Gawd," she frowned. "Like what's your problem this time," he sounded absolutely unreasonable with his sudden issue with Vladimir. He was blaming them for getting cornered by a bunch of Slytherins. She huffed a bit. "As if," she debated. Rock solid argument. "A whole bunch found me too," she admitted as she moved closer to whisper in his hear. "You and I know he is not like that. Stop being so unfair," she scolded him. "He has saved out lives more than once," she backed away from him after she said that and was about to run off when she spied Arlo.
“Hey, Marion!”
"Hey Arlo!"
THAT's Arlo?
She shook her head, she was feeling a bit dizzy from it. As if silencing that little voice that sometimes wakes her from a dead sleep.
“How’s it goin?! You look absolutely amazing.”
"You look great too," she smiled.
No he doesn't. C'mon.
She hit herself on the temple with the palm of her hand, without making a sound with her mouth she internally shouted - shut up. Shut up!
"You look great," she repeated a second time as if to confirm.
“Hope I didn’t under dress. Brought you a drink if you like.”
Come to the lockers.
Arlo offered her a drink of cloudy orange liquid. "What and blend in with the crowd?" The real stand outs were the ones wearing their school clothes like LeStrange who she spied in the crowd skulking about. Who was that asshole going to try and murder today?
”Not sure what’s in it to be honest.”
C'mon, let me meet him.
She tried a sip. She had not been to enough of these gatherings to know that the drinks were usually spiked. It wasn't. It was just normal, safe, unadulterated pumpkin juice.
"Mmm, pumpkin juice," she commented. She liked pumpkin juice, it was a staple of the school.
If you don't I will just keep talking...
“Woah! Victor! Cool suit, man!”
"He is not in a social mood," Marion pouted. "Hung up over his boyfriend," she prodded Victor like a sibling. It did not seem particularly cruel but it did appear to be intended to get get a response.
and talking...
"They are having some sorta spat again," they were not actual romantic partners in any sense of the imagination. She was just trying to rile Victor in front of his new girlfriend. She was real pretty. And she seemed nice. Victor was being a stupid grump. "Besides, we're being called," she remitted.
Oh actually, someplace else if you're coming.
To the stands. To the stands.
To the stands. To the stands.
"To the stands apparently."

Walking a tightrope...

Since hearing of the tales about the Masquerade ball that had gone up in flames, Piérre had been a little wary about attending the incoming Blossom Ball.
…
That is, he would have been if it hadn't been for the fact that this was yet another excuse to go out in public, dance, sing, and generally act the monkey. The latter part Piérre did with pride. Indeed, after all his "grooming" and "prepping" from a young age watching old movies and generally being a card as he was, Piérre was slipping out of the front gates of Hogwarts, outwardly dressed in Quidditch robes (minus the armor. That would have been a bit uncomfortable).
No, he had not brought his clothes separately, but he had trusted that between his outwardly sporty appearance and the general tendency of the lad to dress up more than dress casual, perhaps he would fly under the unperceptive eye. Even if he was spotted, Piérre would be hard to keep an eye on, for he utilized his natural speed and general dexterity to skip, hop, and even flip his way to the event. (Okay, perhaps flipping was a bit much, but there was a backflip in there near the end.)
Finally, he was before the party, glancing about at the people who were still trickling in and listening voraciously to the chatter and atmosphere that was coming from within. It was an atmosphere that Piérre planned to liven. Green eyes travelled across the ebbing party, the people already dancing, and those people on the sides. Piérre didn't notice anyone off the bat, but he soon realized that often... people were brought to him more often that he to them. It would be a matter of time before trouble found him wanted and decided to take the Britalian on a little joyride.
Before slipping inside, Piérre unceremoniously tossed his shed quidditch robes into a nearby bush, completely forgetting the tragedy of his Ravenclaw scarf from a few months back, revealing the dapper suit beneath. Whomever said that the Britalian was not in any way proper had evidently never met his wardrobe. Having agonized over what to wear, Piérre decided that green was what made him stand out best, with the twin hue of his eyes, and so decided that Slytherin should be the suit of the night. Green silk from head to toe, green paisley and a sharp tie, and jet black dress shoes that almost gleamed in the sparse light threw away all clown in the boy to the wind, leaving a gentleman in its stead. Heart beating wildly, Piérre smiled with pearly whites at the entrance, ready to make a show. His palms were slightly sweaty, but Piérre waved his hands to dry them before stepping in, dedicating himself to this night.
In his chest pocket, on the right, gleamed his white yew wand, its bonelike swirls echoing faintly the same pattern upon Piérre's Slytherin attire. Unlike last ball, where Piérre had not been studious at all and would have probably been severely harmed, now Piérre was prepared to at least fight for others if not himself. In his left pocket, a small silk kerchief, embroidered with the swirly uppercase characters 'PM'.
No sooner had he entered, Piérre glanced to either side, noting the brooms there. Yes, there were private brooms, brooms that if Piérre took would make him a thief, but there were also plain brooms, school brooms set up for the event's masquerading act. Surely taking one would be of no harm? A little areal acrobatics never killed; especially if one knew their way around a broom.
With a little clap, Piérre snatched a nearby School Broom.
Boy oh boy, he had a plan for this broom. It was not his broom, or, rather, the kinky broom that Piérre called his whenever he practiced or played for Quidditch; no, it was just a typical broom: a few wild twigs, a rough edge or two, and lovingly worn. Still, a lovely device.
After ensuring the coast was clear, Piérre tossed the broom in front of him a few feet, before flicking his hand up and commanding. "Up!"
At his beck and call, the broom levitated, and Piérre leapt onto it, coasting it into the open, sitting upon it like an Equestrian sidesaddle as he entered the party. Floating just overhead, Piérre grasped the broomshaft, rocketing into the sky as if he could play with the fireworks. Looking about, Piérre admired the dark sky sprinkled with stars, and the people dancing below, perhaps at some looking up at him. Colours swirled and played with one another, hypnotizing and elegant. If someone waved at him, the energetic boy waved back.
This truly was how to enjoy a party. Watching with an eagle's eye view.
With a sigh, Piérre threw his leg over the broom, mounting it fully before laying with his chest on the broad broomshaft. He looked downward, playing a game of Where's Waldo with his own I Spy rules thrown in. More specifically, he was looking for familiar faces. Faces that were kind of hard to see this high up in the air.

Chad Preoccupied, impressive already by the end of his name, was hilariously breathtaking. When Ami had first appeared in his field of vision, Scott's eyes had locked on her not because he recognised his friend, this in fact took a while, but because that's just the effect purple top hats usually had on him.
"You look amazing!" Was what he exclaimed, and "I mean, handsome." was how he corrected himself, when Ami first reached the two Gryffindors by the table. She'd really never be allowed to judge whatever frilly thing he wore next, that much was certain...
Looking amusedly between Anastasia and his magnificently suited up friend, Scott couldn't help but feel a little underdressed. He wasn't, of course, not for the occasion- but in direct comparison to the pink meringue on one side of him and the dapper drag king on the other, there really wasn't much competition.
Delighted, Scott stroke the top of Chad's top hat and felt the fabric when Ami asked what he thought of it all.
"I won't lie," He admitted. "You are reminding me a bit of my uncle. Albert. Always with the purple, he is... but other than that, properly a king." He even laughed, and traced his own upper lip with his finger when he spotted the moustache his friend had drawn on hers. "Nice touch."
Scott had seen Ami dressed in drag before. But neither the cheeky excitement he'd noticed then, nor the blissful awe she'd emitted during one of the shows they saw in America, could've prepared him for how all in she'd go this once.
Truly, Chad was only strengthening the ball's mystical atmosphere with his presence.
But he was also standing quite close. Looking apologetically over his friend's shoulder, Scott could see Anastasia facing the back of the velvet suit somewhat awkwardly... Ami had, as she'd walked up to the two of them, taken to stand as if completely cutting the other Gryffindor out of the conversation. Scott hoped, sincerely though with decreasing conviction, that she'd only done this by accident- because Anastasia did not look very happy. This was supported too, by the girl in the dress eventually clearing her throat at the two.
"I fear you've positioned yourself quite recklessly, Chad. Surely no gentleman would want to miss the opportunity of a view such as the one behind you."
Scott smiled at the two of them as best he could, though his face was letting him down. This again? Really? Scott tried hard to think of what could've brought these two friends of his to dislike each other so much, but couldn't put his finger on it for the life of him. He was eventually inclined to dismiss the whole mystery as due only to the fact that "girls will be girls", but felt that, judging by this particular situation, he supposed he couldn't.
That, and he knew better.
"...Turn back around." he said, a little quieter this time. Scott realised perfectly well that not everyone had grown up with the same 14 rules on how to stand properly told to them every day, like he felt he had, but that didn't mean it wasn't also obvious that Chad was being intentionally impolite to Scott's housemate. Just like Ami had been, that day in the courtyard.
He wouldn't lie and say he was a fan of that behaviour. Nor would his eyes.

It was not long that the lioness was sitting alone at the table. @River Dewlight whom she had spotted in the crowd only moments before, approached her.
River started up a conversation with pleasantries which Katrina politely nodded and smiled to, her undertone of wariness pushed down for the moment. “Nice to see you too,” River asked if she could join Katrina and Katrina gestured to the empty table, “Be my guest,”
River was wearing a gorgeous dress and necklace. But it was the Ravenclaw’s hair that caught Katrina’s eye. With a tone of admiration, she spoke up, “I love your hair!”
It seemed like River, like herself, had come alone. Just as that thought crossed her mind, something in the air caught her eye. A flying green blob, who was none other than @Piérre Marchonné crossed overhead. It took her a moment to identify him in the dark skies. A small smirk crossed her face, he certainly knew how to make an entrance.
There was so much going on that the second year was a bit overwhelmed. She kept an eye on the crowd and found herself pressing the locket around her neck so hard that there was an imprint on her fingers. It was a wonderful night, but she couldn’t help feeling that something was going to go terribly wrong.
In order to get her worries out of her mind, Katrina turned back to River, “So, what brings you here tonight?” As soon as the words where out of her mouth she realized that she herself wasn’t very sure why she was there. Katrina wished that there was a chance that the night would just be exciting, but she knew deep down that would not be the case. If she searched inside enough, you would find that she was really there to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves. That was the reason her wand was slipped in a hidden pocket on the side of her dress.
Katrina dragged herself out of her thoughts and forced her hand to her side as to prevent the indents in her fingers to not become permanent. Her pensive face turned softer and more friendly as she allowed herself to just enjoy conversation. She could allow herself to worry when something went wrong.

Secret Blossom Ball

Vladimir still had his bag slung over his back. The bag was heavier than it looked, but the boy was stronger than he looked. He would make a little detour on his way out of the lockers, one to the little boy's room to 'powder his nose' before he emerged.
Vladimir would saunter onto the dance floor fashionably late. The others were still arriving. he was merely not among the first, not was he among the last. He had no idea what his date was wearing, he had not asked but he did not need to ask to know. He already knew what she was going to wear.

He was not going to give her a flower, but he would conform to some tradition. A gift he had never touched. It was dainty and sweet, all the things that girls liked. But it was also dark and mysterious. What girls wanted but hated to admit.
He would look for his date. His eyes scanned the dance floor as he searched for her. Perhaps she was not here yet. He doubted that. His eyes fell upon not her at first, but the girl in pink as well as her diminutive date. Then he would find her, the dark green dress hidden among the ostentatious gowns that some of the girls chose to wear. Her choice was fine, appropriate even considering the fact that this galla was outside and subject to the weather and the environment.
She already saw him more than likely. After all she was looking for him, he was already a popular man. So he approached her. There was no fear or hesitation, even if he could feel the eyes on him. He relished it. Every comedy or drama or... tragedy... required an audience.
He would stop a few feet before her and give her a gracious, gentlemanly bow. "You look..." his gaze lingered for a moment. "Quite lovely," he commended. "However," he would withdraw a small silver box with a gloved hand and open the lid to reveal a purple corsage.
"Too soon to ask for a dance?"

Secret Blossom Ball
Opeila sighed quietly and looked around. She didn't mind people being late normally, if it wasn't a person she wasn't sure about if he was just late or secretly murdering someone in a dark corner.
Alright, maybe she was exaggerating. A little. Actually, Opeila had no idea, what her date was planning, she was only very sure, that he was planning. Something bad.
Opeila looked for someone else now, her friend Flash, who she had promised to stay near. She couldn't see him, probably meaning that he couldn't see het either, so the brunette made her way back to the dancefloor. And Burnett wasn't anywhere near either... Somehow that worried her.
Only to meet the person who she had looked for.
As nervous and scared as Opeila might be, she was not blind to good looks. What still seemed like an understatement, looking at Vladimir.
Neither was she blind to a boys' charm.
The first year had seen other pairs this evening, shy, excited boys and girls. How was this third year so confident? Because he had no reason not to be. It was not like he fell for her, this was not a date, she reminded herself. An interrogation. No date. She would respond with the same confidence. Or at least as much confidence as she could bring up.
He stopped in front of her and bowed lightly. Opeila couldn't help a little smile. Yeah, she indeed wasn't blind to that kind of charms. Everyone did love a bit of affection, right? ... Probably not, but Opeila didn't care.
His compliment sounded a little sarcastic in her ears though. The pause.
Not that she minded, it amused her a lot actually. "Well you..." She would leave the same pause, looking at him. "...Don't look bad either."
Opeila's nervosity came back when he pulled out a box and opened it. A bracelet. A... beautiful bracelet. One that she would have worn with the greatest excitement, if it wasn't Vladimir Athanatos who gave it to her.
That possibliy meant, that something was wrong with it.
He was wearing gloves. Was he avoiding to touch the bracelet maybe?
"...That is beautiful...", she murmured, looking at the bracelet. She didn't take it out. She didn't touch it. She only touched the box.
Vladimir asked if it was too soon for a dance. Opeila looked to the dancing floor. "...I guess it is not.", she said smiling.

Not that she had explicitly told Flash that Ruka was her date, just that she had a date, but she was still upset that he hadn't put two and two together of Ruka and Willow sitting next to each other. Ruka had asked Flash for his first dance by the way they were moving to the dance floor. It infuriated her. As soon as Flash was available she would be swooping in to dance with him and figure out just what was going on between him and Ruka, because obviously there was something. At least on Ruka's end, he couldn't take his eyes off of Flash. It made her wonder just what had happened at her and Alan's birthday party that suddenly had them acting way closer to each other. Not that whatever affection that was sprouting there excused Ruka's behavior. She wasn't bad company, at least she thought so, but here Ruka was ditching her as soon as possible. Suddenly she wish the painting she gave him was enchanted to spontaneously combust. But it wasn't, so she had to deal with it.
The attempt to repress the emotions almost had failed but a familiar Ravenclaw approached. A brightness returned to Willow, though it wasn't at the level it was before. Willow passed the wave back to her and laughed a little bitterly when Breana asked if she was alone too. "Breana, you look absolutely lovely. Your dress is beautiful, it suits you. But my whole date situation didn't start like this, but he has ultimately decided to hang out with my best friend instead." She shrugged it off and gestured over to the dance floor where Ruka and Flash were. "Please join me, my fries and I would love to have your company. Do you want some?" There was still a few left, still somehow warm by some sort of enchantment probably. She would shake this off, she always did. She wouldn't let this ruin her entire night when she could still end up surrounding herself with friends.

||Interacting with @ Victor Moore ; Mentioning @ Rafael D'Spacito @ Lydia Cooper||
When Wren walked up to Victor he dropped and shattered the mirror he was holding.
“I’m so sorry,” she apologized quickly,“I didn’t mean to startle you”
She looked around her and saw that there seemed to be a theme. So many girls had on dresses that looked like they belonged to princesses and apparently Victor thought so too because he said he had taken a ‘damn princess to the dance’ were his exact words. Wren wasn’t sure if that was good or bad. What came next was stuttering. He couldn’t even greet her without messing up his speech. This told her that he had meant what he had said a bit ago as a compliment. She enjoyed making boys nervous and chuckled. She thought it was cute.
He then gestured to the gigantic vase of flowers saying they were for her and that he went a little overboard.
“No, Victor, I think it’s really sweet! I can just set them over here until the ball’s over then take them back to my dorm. They’ll really liven up the place and trust me the dorms need it.”
After the flowers came the box of chocolates. Wren loved chocolates. He said that she wasn’t fat or anything, but that was not something you said to a girl. It didn’t make her mad but he had obviously not interacted with girls that much.
“I understand. Thank you, Victor. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness. I love chocolate and roses.”
In answer to her earlier question about what he was doing, he replied with ‘Nothing’. The typical answer for a boy, but she wasn’t going to pry. She heard him mutter that she wasn’t that way, and she wondered
“I’m not what way?” she didn’t want to say it out loud in case it offended him or something, so she decided to ask him if he wanted to dance.
“Do you want to dance Victor?”
A quick glance around told her that Rafa was not yet here and that he better get here soon or his date was going to end up dancing with someone else.
She smiled at Victor and waited for his reply.

Harper Pena arrived in an adorable pink, floral, lace dress. She looked like a cute little pink cream puff in her dress. *Click* Flash Holmwood was someone she had seen during that dreadful night in the Slytherin common room but also again at the joint birthday party for Willow and Alan. He was dressed in a respectable blue suit with a white undershirt escorting Evelyn Decipio wear a dress similar in color to her date topped with a beautiful white fur. *Click* It was easy enough to see a small conspiracy blooming. Was she correct that Victor and Marion would not make it out of this ball alive? It certainly seemed that way. Many people, including herself, were watching them occasionally.
Her attention was drawn by a garish looking pink and floral patterned suit. Who had such a terrible fashion sense? She did not expect it to be her friend Dale Kurt making such terrible decisions. She stifled a laugh, however, when he struck his pose she lost it. Her silvery voice ringing out in laughter at him gaining control of herself just enough to get a photo of his ridiculous suit. *Click* Before once more breaking out into giggles. He would never live this down. Thomas Lestrange entered in Slytherin robes with seemingly an agenda. She watched him survey the area and find Selim before disappearing once more. Santario would not have gotten a photo of him at this time. He put her on edge and had cut the mood. Thomas was one of the people that had been there when Marion was confronted and while Santario did not remain in the altercation she had a feeling Thomas was not one to cross.
Katrina Walker entered in a teal dress with her hair done up elegantly. It was a shame she would probably not leave this ball looking as beautiful as she came. *Click* Annie Morgan appeared in ruffles pastel blush in color. *Click* The prefect should know, better shouldn’t she? Surly that dress was very flammable. Beautiful yes, but a fire hazard. At least her arms were free and clear for inevitable chaos. Arlo Reynolds one of the shorter boys in their class by a lot. He appeared to be dressed in a normal black robe and some slacks. *Click* He would be quickly lost among the tulle and flair of the ballgowns out there. Hopefully, he didn’t suffocate. Donald Fish entered the ball with no care in the world who saw him. His garish outfit screamed look at me! He was as loud as Victor Moore without the style. *Click*
Dan Palmer, however, did have style. Enough to mostly make up for the lack of ever wearing shoes. One of these days she had a feeling the quidditch captain was going to regret not wearing shoes but apparently it hasn’t been a problem, yet. *Click* Ami Procoppio/Chad Preoccupied was embellished from head to toe in purple and gold. Although Santario could not particularly place this student at this time they wanted to be seen. It no doubt would take long before this one drew a crowd to themselves. *Click* Astrea Soleil Neptune entered in an extravagant beige ballgown with a slit up the side that probably wasn’t appropriate for someone her age. That seemed to be a theme with girls and their dresses though. Her heels were terrible for running but no doubt great to stick through someone’s eye. *Click*
Percival Rainwood came in a sensible outfit… A lot of sensible outfits from the boys tonight. Well mostly anyway. The suspenders were a good change of pace. *Click* Reid Kovacs someone she briefly had gotten to know closer to the beginning of the year. He looked smooth as always in a mix of charcoal grey and black. His shoes a match to her own and another’s at the ball. *Click* Oswald Vanigton wandered into the ball decently underdressed though he would not find himself alone for those unprepared. Realistically he might actually be better prepared. *Click* Logan Baird came out in a pale yellow dress decorated with florals. Maybe it was just the light but did that dress have a deep V neckline? Naw, probably just the light. *Click* Ginerva Tsuchiya was drowning in pink tulle, but so were half of the other girls here. The leaf embellishments on her dress, however, were lovely. *Click*
Hanako Tone may have known how to match his accessories to his shoes but that was about where the specialness of his outfit ended. It was sensible and the shoes were stylish but a vest or waistcoat would have helped pull it all together. *Click* Damion White choose to dress himself in purple velvet and black. It was an interesting decision not necessarily bad but a bit dated or was velvet coming back? *Click* Breana Oliveire showed up in a stunning ball gown decorated with pink lace florals. The colors that she chose really suited her and her hair pinned back was gorgeous. Santario really hoped she would stay that lovely by the end of the ball. *Click*
Cecily Quinn paused at the entrance which gave San the perfect moment to snap a photo of the girl. *Click* She was clad in a very cute sunflower sundress and… no shoes. Like Dan, before her, that may or may not have been a good decision. No heels were definitely a good decision but no foot protection at all? We shall see. Alexander Varellion looked dapper in his classic black suit and tie. Playing it safe but sometimes safe wasn’t bad. *Click* Emory Montgomery made her way in a pink and green floral dress. It certainly was interesting the way the vines were designed up the shoulders. *Click* Piérre Marchonné was incapable of showing up to something without trying to be the flashiest thing in the room. Although it didn’t outdo Victor in his white angelic look or Donald’s head to toe gold ensemble. Regardless he looked quite regal even if he was carrying a broom. This was one kid San could never peg what house he was truly from. *Click*
Vladimir Athanatos the boy who sold the tainted candy around valentine’s day. Wherever he showed up nothing good happened, ever. *Click* Something wicked has arrived and what torment will be to follow? It does not bode well for anyone involved. As he walked off Santario touched the part of her skirts where her wand was hidden within its pocket. Unlike the mass of the other students here, Santario was a 12-year-old who didn’t manage to somehow have a knife or dagger on them. No, she just had her quick wits and her wand. Hopefully, that would be enough. It had to be.
Another lull in the entrances of students to the ball would allow her to stoop down and once again change her film out. Soon she would need to start taking pictures of people having a good time not just entering the ball. She decided that she would wait a little longer for any stragglers before turning her full attention to the others already there.

Secret Blossom Ball
Reducio

When Althea first heard of this secret ball, she was hesitant to go. She knew that it would be unwise to attend a ball that was organised by children around her age, especially if the teachers cancelled the original one.
But then, Althea was a kid. She was curious and wanted to be seen as a cool and easy-going person, and to do that, it would mean sneaking off to this secret ball.
Decisions were made, and before she knew it, Althea was putting on a simple dress she somehow had in her trunk in the changing rooms. She had twisted her forever-messy chocolate brown hair into a tight bun with a cheap hair pin, hopefully looking more presentable.
Running to the quidditch pitch in her usual boots, looking the most fancy she has ever dressed in years, Althea walked slowly into the pitch. She was impressed by the decorations, to be honest. It was quite well done considering students hosted this event.
Althea was just about to look for some fellow Hufflepuffs to hang out with when she spotted a certain Slytherin boy. Hanako Tone, the Slytherin that was as arrogant as the Alpha of a wolf pack, was standing there in formal wear.
Althea had been minding her own business these days, leaving him alone, and she decided that it would be a wonderful time to make up for it.
She fished out a book she had brought in case she got bored, approaching the boy sneakily. She made sure to be only a half a meter away before stopping behind his back.
Althea then whacked her business partner's head with the book, making sure that it was gentle enough to give him just a memorable bruise.
"Hey Tone, missed me?" Althea chuckled with a smirk.
