Setting up a spectator thread for interested parties that wish to watch the adjacent Quidditch Game. Remember what you say and do in this thread will not effect the Quidditch Match but they may IC see you there cheering (or booing). [Quidditch Game]
The inaugural game between Slytherin and Hufflepuff was underway. It was a cool, overcast Sunday morning. The sort of morning where the skies threatens to rain but never actually does. There is a cool, pleasant breeze coming from the the southwest and if the sun would only peer out from behind the clouds, today would probably be one of those uncomfortable, unseasonably warm days.
The stadium was packed with interested spectators. Quidditch always summoned the crowds. Students, Professors and even a few guests, mostly magical relatives of some of the players but some were also prominent wizards who can trace their education back to this Scottish magical institution.
The Quidditch Captains: Dan Palmer of Slytherin and Saskia of Hufflepuff would be making their debut. It would be interesting to see how they fared in an actual battle between Houses. As the Quidditch players filed in, the crowd would erupt into an applause. Everyone had a team that they favored, a player that they wanted to see succeed (or fail) and if they had neither, they could still watch the crowds and derive some enjoyment from there.
With shouts of encouragement, a sprinkle of heckling the game was about to commence.
Solomon is not in this thread. Yes, I know the narrative is exactly 200 words but i am on my phone and getting everything set-up.
There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

Besides a trip to the Great Hall for mealtime, Elliot rarely left the confines of his office on Sunday’s. This day was usually set aside for last minute grading and preparations for class first thing Monday morning. However, this Sunday was unlike any other since he started his tenure at Hogwarts. Today was the first Quidditch matches of the season!
The middle aged wizard was hardly a competitor. His schooling years were divided mostly between the Potions classroom and the Library. However, the Muggleborn had developed an undying love for the sport of Quidditch. During his schooling years he never missed a match and into adulthood he tuned into every one he could. Yes, he was quite excited to see how the teams would shape up this year, especially House Hufflepuff, his alma mater.
The sky was gray as Elliot made his way to the pitch, a cool breeze ruffled his hair. Not the best weather for a spectator, but perhaps the seekers would be happy not to have the sun in their eye. He climbed the stairs and found a seat in the front row of the stands. Elliot knew as a professor that he should probably not play favorites, but the avid fan couldn’t quite help himself. Reaching into his robes he withdrew a black and yellow striped scarf and tightly secured it around his neck. Straightening his round spectacles, he stood and watched as the Slytherin team began to take their spot on the grounds. He clapped politely as he eagerly awaited the Hufflepuff team.

Kyle didn't want slytherin to win. He didn't even want them to do well. He knew the better they did in their game the harder his team would need to work in order to make sure they won the season. What he *DID* want, was his friend to have fun. To enjoy her time on Quidditch and (Hopefully) not get turned off of the sport entirely. He knew she was second string, and likely not to play unless someone made it a point to remove the Keeper from the Equation. But there was something he could do to make her smile, Granted his Pride was going to take a bit of a hit if anyone he knew saw him.
Kyle scrapped together his remaining money from chores, allowance and birthday money that he kept stashed away and he sent away to buy Lion paws to wear over his shoes, paw gloves with black felt claws, a bright red sweater with a Gold Lion face and to top off this monstrosity of an outfit, a Lion head hood(Complete with mane) that was in a roaring expression so his face could be see out of the open mouth. Did he look ridiculous? Incredibly so. But he knew that it would be hard to miss him like this.
Walking up all the stairs to get to the the top of the spectator seats in his get up was awful, but he still wore a grin on his face once he got to the top and the cool breeze hit his face. He hurried over to the Railing and looked towards the bench for Slytherin team and he saw his friend was already there. He raised his hands, er paws, above his head and waved his whole upper body back and forth a few times "HEY MUPPET! CAN YOU SEE ME? NOONE WARMS A BENCH LIKE YOU MUPPET! WOOOOOO!"

After just exiting his common room from Hufflepuff home-room, a lot of things ran into his head."Hufflepuff Vs. Slytherin... - My house vs. Faolan's house. Geesh, that's weird."
When was he going to eat and or snack?
The worrying feeling of what his cousin might be doing. Making friends, getting bullied?
Like a harrowing mother worried about their child, Keenan couldn't really help it. Maybe this was persistent sign that the sorting hat kept talking about. His loyalty and wanting to protect people close to him.
Blah, still doesn't change the fact that Faolan of all people was apart of the house that produced dark wizards. Maybe there was something dark within his cousin and there might be more about his cousin that he didn't know about.
With the soft (and sometimes loud) pattering of feet around him as first years and beyond that were either going to Quidditch match! Pretty good time to get some brownie points and maybe talk to more of his house mates.
Wearing his uniform, striking a dull yellow that came from his sweater, as well. Even if it was a somewhat cool day, Keenan collected some dew on his forehead as his face flushed slightly.
Keenan groaned as his body heat that was being trapped by his sweater. He felt like he was being cooked!"Let's just hope that this match won't take hours."
Or maybe he was over-reacting, as always.
As he saw the stands, climbing behind some of the teachers. He made sure he had some distance from any of the staff so they wouldn't try to overhear his conversation if he wanted to talk to someone. They had the tendency of putting their foot down and ruining the fun of talking like a darn sailor.
But first impressions go along way so what the heck.
Turning to one of the professors with a limp wave, a bottling of shyness trying to come up but it was curbed by the lingering fear of not wanting to act weird.
Keenan spoke towards the teacher before shifting his attention towards the Huffle Players that were coming into the pitch."Happy Sunday, sir. Hope this match ain't goin' to be boring."
Cupping his hands over his mouth, emitting a loud belch of verbal applause.

Ayden didn't know where he was going. Something had happened inside the castle that made quite a bit of his house mates move towads the grounds, not knowing if it was mandatory he just went along with the crowd, too afraid to ask. 'What if it's a stupid question?' He thought 'What if I ask the wrong way?' in all honesty he didn't want to risk making a fool out of himself or rather he was too scared to talk. How was he supposed to talk to other people? How was he supposed to act? He was sure his dad always acted differently when some people came into the house, and acted like himself when others came. It was confusing. In the end he just cluched his copy of Hogwarts a History close to his chest, if all else failed he could still bury himself in a book.
After a while he saw it, the big wooden structure that towered over him. He could hear cheering and screaming from inside, and people were going towards it. Was this some kind of... cult? Yeah yeah, he had read somewhere that cults screamed and stuff. But why was he going towards it? Weren't cults bad? Unfortunately he was too nervous to ask. So he just followed the crowd. Apparently this was where he was going to die.
Once inside he realized... this wasn't a cult. His mother had shown him picture of this, this was quidditch. A popular sport in the magical world, he was never really interested and didn't know how it was played but he was happy he wasn't going to die. He smiled to himself, rather creepily, and took a sit far away from people. Not really wanting to bother anyone he opened the book to where he last left off and started reading. The great hall had some interesting pieces of history in them.

It was study time. Study time in Quidditch strategy, at least, which meant Max was going to sit in the stands and try to figure out the psychological profiles of both team captains to try and discover which plays they'd be most likely to use in the upcoming season against Gryffindor. On most days Max would be screaming for Slytherin to beat the shit out of the Hufflepuffs and knock as many Badgers out of the sky as they could, but today he was more subdued and on the fence about who he should cheer for.
On one hand, Alexx was on Slytherin and since they were becoming better acquainted he should probably cheer for her. But he felt there was also something of a rivalry beginning to brew between them with their similar positions as head (or former head, in his case) of a newspaper, former prefect positions, high academic averages, and players on opposing Quidditch teams. Not that he wanted to see her get thrashed, but he was more interested in trying to find her weakness as a Beater than cheering her on. So it was with some neutrality that he regarded her, still on the fence about cheering.
For the most part, he didn't really know the rest of the players. Reid Kovacs was there - which meant a sudden storm would probably kill half the players since Kovacs always brought bad luck with him - but he was benched and Max didn't know him enough to cheer anyway. There were a couple of prefects mixed in as well, but he'd been away for too long to have met the majority of them on either side of the field. So, naturally, that left him with a single person on the entire pitch to cheer for. Since that person was going to be getting all of his school spirit, he may as well cheer loud. Standing up, he cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled loud enough for her to hear from the bench.
"SERENA TOWERS, YOU'RE GONNA KICK ASS!" he yelled, ignoring everyone else around him to support his childhood friend. He didn't really care about the fact that she was currently on the bench and might not make it out this time; the fact that she was there in full Quidditch gear because she'd been good enough to make it on the team was enough that he was proud of her. Besides, knowing Alexx she'd probably knock someone out early and Serena would end up playing anyway. "PROUD OF YOU!"
Grinning, he pulled his robes a little tighter around his shoulders against the cool breeze and sat back down. He didn't mind who won either way as long as the Slytherin Beaters knocked some Hufflepuffs out of the sky and Serena did well whenever she came out. It should be a good game, and hopefully beyond cheering, he'd learn a thing or two.

Erik had been locked up in the Slytherin common room for far too long now and was in desperate need for some fresh air. So, with that he made his way to the stadium. A cool breeze was messing up his hair, which he immediately tried to rectify. The young pure-blood had gone to the tryouts for the Quidditch team and had given it his best shot. If you asked him he had been far better than some of the other candidates, but he wouldn't let that get to him. You haven't seen the last of me yet. I won't give up that easy. I'll be there again next time., he thought to himself whilst he was following the crowd and poured inside the stadium.
Erik found his way to the stands and picked the first place he saw was free that was close to the others. He took a look and saw none of his fellow house members in the stands. What he saw, however were Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors and a Professor. He didn’t know any of them, but he recognised Professor Price from Potions class. Ugh, just my luck. Gryffindorks are here and one of the teachers. Seems like I’ll have to behave then. Erik then looked over at the field and found himself proud and oddly enthusiastic when he saw some of the Slytherin Quidditch team members get on the pitch and a few of them take to the air. Before he even knew it, he ran past the others to the railing and cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted at the top of his lungs a chant.

Slytherin was his House of course, but Andrew didn't consider himself to be much of a Quidditch or sports fan in general. He was here, however, to support his friend Dan, who would be playing on the field today. Plus, food was incentive enough. There were bound to be snacks served at the game. Popcorn and soft pretzel sticks… Whatever the wizarding version of them was anyway. Bundles in hand, Andrew squeezed his way through the spectator stand, one with the corresponding emerald and silver colors for his team, and found a seat at the very rear. From here, he'd have a slightly higher position, able to see above everybody else's heads in front of him while maintaining his own little bubble of space. Where he was less likely to get pushed or trampled or hit by something.. He hoped.
As the teams swooped out on their brooms, assembling onto the pitch, it didn't take long for Andrew to pinpoint Dan Palmer amongst the spread of emerald green capes. Seeing that there was only one Quidditch player out there on their broom without any shoes. Going around barefoot was Dan's signature style. How the Irish lad managed to preserve his feet after all these years was beyond Andrew, who could only shake his head at the wonder and silliness of it all. Earlier that morning, he had tried to shake some sense into Dan about putting on some protective coverings, concerned that Dan's feet would get hurt or bruised during the game. It was bound to happen, Andrew feared. Still, he couldn't persuade the Captain otherwise to put on some boots, much to his frustration. Nevertheless, Andrew brought along an extra pair of shoes with him in his knapsack, just in case. If he ever needed to toss them at Dan for some reason.
Between all the spectators and activity on the field, Andrew didn't expect Dan to spot him in the crowd. No matter though. He could sit back and enjoy the food game. He didn't feel inclined to partake in the cheering. Everyone else was already doing that for him. It wasn't like Dan would be able to single out his voice among the cacophony of others. No point in exerting energy on wearing out his vocal chords. So long as he was physically present, that was all that mattered.
He took a bite of his pretzel before picking off a little crumb with his fingers, holding it up to a silvery-gray rat that poked its head out from between the folds of Andrew's green-striped scarf. Andrew had brought his pet rat Penelope with him, so they could watch the game together, sharing snacks and silently cheering on Slytherin. While Andrew was confident that Penelope would stick to his shoulder, as attached to him as she was, he couldn't keep an eye on her whereabouts 100% of the time, once the game started. In fact he was rather distracted in scanning the arena, yearning to catch a glimpse of the Golden Snitch. Grr.. If only he had walkie talkies or an ear piece so he could communicate all spy-like with Dan! He'd seen how hard Dan had practiced for the upcoming tournament. Now it was time to see if all those weeks of training had paid off.

Eris wasn’t sure who to root for. Or why she was watching the game instead of sleeping in, or doing homework. Or whatever responsible students did. She was rooting for her own self-interest, how about that? The Gryffindor seeker was at the game for two reasons. She wanted to scope out the competition, as she saw her captain doing, along with various few other teammates. “Heya Kyle!” Eris greeted, yelling over the crowd at the Gryffindor beater. She waved once to him, before wedging her way through the swarm of bodies to get closer to the action.
Once close to the game, Eris was able to spot the players. Only if she squinted really hard, which was what she was currently doing. The second reason for her appearance at the match was to see who was playing and if she wanted to cheer them on. So, as she stared down at the players, Eris tried to spot if anyone playing was worth screaming for. She spotted one of them, immediately. Reid! Her crazy friend, who liked a superhero who was bad. Eris didn’t remember why that superhero was bad, nor why she cared so much. All she knew was that said superhero’s name was Thor. But, the more pressing matter was that Reid was benched.
Reid was on a bench. Reid was ON A BENCH. Reid.. was benched. Eris glared at the bench and the boy, gasping when she saw that Serena was beside him. Both of her friends were benched! That was.. Offensive. If Eris hadn’t been on her own house’s quidditch team and was unwilling to lose her position by wrecking another team’s game, she would have jumped down and jinx up whoever was taking her friend’s positions, just so they could play.
Instead, the slightly redhead leaned her head over the edge of the barricade, cupping her mouth in her hands to make a makeshift microphone. “THAT’S WHAT YOU GET FOR LIKING THOR, KOVACS.” The girl screamed the words. They were obviously a joke and not a threat, from the way she broke off laughing at the end of the statement. Sticking her tongue out at the brown-haired form that Eris could hardly see from her position up above, Eris gave a jovial wave towards where Reid was seated, before pausing to see if Serena was looking up.
Regardless if she was or not, Eris cupped her hands back over her mouth again. “YEAH SERENA! YOU’LL GET IN THERE.” Decidedly, Eris was now cheering for the hufflepuff. Eris saw a flash of blonde hair down on the field and blinked. “Adam?” Adam was playing for Slytherin? Eris rubbed at her eyes for a moment, suddenly realizing that Adam was not the only blonde person in Hogwarts. Wondering why her mind had gone straight to Adam as a viable Slytherin Quidditch team member, Eris identified the person as Alexx.
Eris wasn’t sure where she stood with Alexx, the girl being nice and a pureblood, but not someone Eris was really close with. Shrugging, Eris ambled through the crowd of quidditch enthusiasts, searching for people to talk to. A good quidditch game wasn’t fun without good people to watch it with.

Emerly had yet to know much about Hogwarts or the students and staff, and yet, not fear of losing his way, not embarrassment at sitting by himself, could keep him from figuring out, through listening in on conversations in the halls and during meals, how to get to the Quidditch Pitch, and just when the first Slytherin game of the year was supposed to take place. He would have gone with his cousins but they were bent on studying.
He wound himself up in the scarf his late grandmother had made him years ago (it just so turned out his favorite color since childhood, green, suited the rest of his second-hand uniform just fine), brought along an umbrella for good measure, and headed out.
Now he found himself enchanted by the game. This was nothing, absolutely nothing like he'd ever seen in his life, nothing like any of the sports he'd heard of living in London. He knew absolutely none of the players but found himself standing with the crowd as someone zoomed by like a shooting star, streaking across the sky. He had to hold his scarf to keep it from flailing over his face.
"Brilliant," he breathed. Despite being terrified at the mere idea of even sitting still on a broom at those heights, if Emerly Pine said didn't want to be just like those fearless fliers he'd be sore lying. He got caught up in the rush of excitement and lost a bit of his composure, "WHOO! Go Slytherin!" He immediately covered his mouth as he realized he just screamed. He didn't remember the last time he'd ever been so loud.
"OW!" He abruptly sat down, and brought up his foot. What on earth was that? Did someone's foot hit him? At that very moment, he saw it. Sitting on his shoulder.
A rat.
