Healing Touch

Nervous excitement coursed through the girl as she entered the Charms classroom. Having been practicing her magic all summer, trying to get some sort of edge for dueling club, she finally felt ready to show her teacher what she'd learned so far. However, this sort of spell was different from the typical spells the child had taken interest in, but it was certainly important, she felt, to have it in her arsenal of knowledge. It was Ferula, the bandaging charm, and her very first healing spell.
Now, Illowy knew she was never going to be a healer; she lacked the compassion for most people. However, that didn't mean that it couldn't come in handy one day, especially in a pinch.
The child greeted her teacher as she sat her bag on one of the desks, and shook a bit of hair out of her face as she sat herself down in an open space on the floor. Perhaps it wasn't quite necessary to be on the floor of all place, but it felt right. After all, how often would one be in a chair when they get hurt? That wasn't the point though, she needed to concentrate.
Twirling her wand through her fingers, Illowy mentally reviewed the spell, walking herself through the steps, hardly wanting to make a fool of herself in front of her professor. As the wand came to a halt, the girl stretched out her leg and pulled off her shoe. Pale eyes flickered to her teacher once more for a moment before she lifted her wand.
"fer-ROOL-lah." she spoke, tapping her ankle with her wand. Of course, she wasn't actually hurt, if she figured it impractical and macabre if she either tracked down someone who was hurt or hurt herself just for a sake of proving she knew a spell. It proved to be unnecessary as bandages appeared and began weaving and winding themselves around her foot and ankle, spiting and securing it firmly. Illowy grinned at her work, tilting her foot this way and back to inspect how well the spell had turned out. She'd heard that the bandages were also suppose to ease pain a bit, somehow, but that would have to be something to be seen in the chance that she actually had to use it on someone else, or herself.
Looking up at her professor, she waited eagerly to see his response to her spell, hoping that he was pleased and impressed with her work.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

Healing Touch
Artemis looked on and watched as young Illowy Magnard practiced the Bandaging Charm in front of him, tapping her own ankle to use as a target for her practice. He was quite surprised that this second year chose this particular spell to learn out of the list of spells on the curriculum, but he didn't blame her for picking it. Learning a healing spell over a blasting spell would be much more beneficial in a duel and even in regular day-to-day accidents. When the child successfully cast the spell on her ankle, she looked up at him with an eager and anticipating smile, causing Artemis to smile back and give her a nod that she, in fact, cast the spell correctly.
"Well done, Miss Magnard. You have demonstrated the correct wand movement as well as the proper pronunciation for Ferula. Pat yourself on the back. You have succeeded in learning the Bandaging Spell."
Artemis was happy to know that he had a handful of promising students who were willing to learn more than what their current year provided them to learn, as well as learning advanced magic. He hoped that the students who have currently come to him to practice the advanced magics above their year would continue to do so as their years at Hogwarts progressed.

Illowy Magnard successfully learned Ferula.
