Aliea suppressed a laugh, while Alex had been joking. "So please kind lady, let's just call each other the names that hast been give to us by our parents. It will save us a lot of trouble and pains, so please noble lady do not let me suffer the eternal pain of this nickname." Aliea couldn't suppress it anymore, and began laughing. She placed a hand on her heart, and nodded, exaggerating her movements. "Yes, you're right. Our birth names that has been given from our parents, shall be kept in the act of calling our names." She burst out in laughter again, happy that they were able to joke around like this. She hadn't had this much fun in a while.
Aliea cleared her throat and asked Alex, "Hey, when are you free? We could... study or explore the school grounds." She paused and added. "The school grounds are huge. We could find some place that we could study in silence, or just have some fun. Like exploring!" She looked at Alex, and asked once more. "So... what do you think?" She nudged him with her elbow, and teased him. "You up for it? If not, that's fine too. I mean, I gotta be considerate, right?" She raised her eyebrows at Alex.

Alex would nod eagerly at the offer of Ailea. It were all things he personally wanted to do and it would be nice to have some friends to do those things with. As the possibilities went through Alex's mind he got a smile, thinking about how much fun it would be. He then got back to the situation and answered AIlea's questions. "Well I am pretty much free whenever I don't have classes or am making homework. Which we can also do together, it would save us both a bit of time and means we both actually learn something from it." He would then ponder wheter he should say something for a moment but just shrugged
"I also know quite a bit of the grounds already. I can show you around some of the spots. I know quite a bit of it, or at least the nice flat bits since I personally jog in the morning before school begins. Helps clear the mind and helps you get some energy to start the day with. And there are quite a lot of places to study, there is of course the study room or we could use the library or one of the numerous empty classrooms. But yeah it would be cool exploring the school, especially since there are many hidden passegeways and routes to use. Handy if we can use some of them as shortcuts. "
He would also give a bit of a playful scowl as he was nudged and would go back to the play-acting "And of course I would appreciate the offer to do all of the above fine lady. As such I Alexander first of my name Varellion accept your offer by all that is weird and fun"

Memory is all we are. Moments and feelings, captured in amber, strung on filaments of reason. Take a man’s memories and you take all of him. Chip away a memory at a time and you destroy him as surely as if you hammered nail after nail through his skull

After some searching Sirius finally found the class of charms.
"Why they didn't give us some maps at least? It would be more easer to find right classes..."
By entering the room, boy noticed the young teacher thinking about something and the big spider roaming on his desk.
"Spider? That should be interesting..."
Young Moffew found his place and put the book, inkpot, feather and parchment on the desk. While professor was waiting for something, Sirius's look was following the spider. Finally, lector started the lesson, and pupil's look already was following a levitating chalk.
"Professor Blakburn" noted boy. Sirius was listening carefully, trying to note and remember every professor's word. But when prof. Blakburn asked about different kinds of magical potential, Sirius hadn't any idea.
"We cannot do the same? Why? What does it mean? "
But after girl's answer he got it.
"Different kind of magical potential. Well, that's obviously. I will remember it"
Finally, professor Blakburn cast the size-rising spell on his tarantula, and of course little boy was quietly shocked by that trick, however quickly got himself under control.
"<Engorgio> - increases size of an object." noted boy.
"This spell should be very useful. I am going to practice it right today."
- Goodbye, professor Blakburn! - said Sirius, then leaved the classroom and headed to the Hufflepuf's common room.

Dmitri has already been positioned at the farthest seat on the back row the first time a person entered the room. He was pretty early and he made it a point to stay out of sight from others so as not to encourage any unnecessary conversation. People usually don't notice others in the back row so that's where the raven-haired boy stayed for the duration of the class.Siege Aramastus Bal wrote: "Ah, let me see..." The boy would mutter as he pulled out the right book for this class. "Charms...Now let's see...Sounds really...I don't know? Weak? "Charms" what kind of name is that! Eh, well it seems to be pretty important...so..."
The boy flipped through pages and more pages, hoping to find an exciting "Charm". He kept flipping through the book, hoping to find one thing that would interest him, and that he would find, as he looked down upon the title of "FLAME FREEZING SPELL".
Most students that came into the class stayed in the front half of the classroom and if you would ask them, they'd tell you that you could hear easier and learn more from the lesson when you sit there. But what most people don't know is that you learn just as much from the back and the sidelines--if not, more--from your teacher and your fellow classmates. Take for example, for this class, Dmitri has learned, just by staying silent and watching his classmates flop the Levitation Spells, that the incantation had a certain specificity to it no one would notice had they not closely inspected it. 6 times out of 10 the spell succeeded when a. The "gar" in Wingardium Leviosa was stressed and prolonged while the "o" was emphasized and b. When the Wingardium was spoken during the upward swish and switching to Leviosa when you start the downward flick. Most of the students either do the wand movement too fast or too slow. Testing it out a moment ago, Dmitri proved the theory to be correct--although he had to attempt it quite a lot of times. Now he can cast the charm successfully approximately 60% of the time. This wasn't a piece of information that the professor or the textbook put much or any emphasis on.
And in true Slytherin fashion, he kept the information to himself, smirking at his classmate's feeble attempts of doing the same.
Except when a certain brunette entered the room.
Dmitri smirked as the boy sat himself in front of him, smile widening as he saw that the boy hadn't noticed him. And by the color of his tie, the raven-haired boy knew that this was a chance to mess with a student from another house. He leaned forward and positioned his mouth near the boy's ear to whisper, "Charms? Weak?" He laughs softly as the boy startled. "I am aiming to learn a certain Charm called the Confundus that will let you do things you wouldn't normally do... Just short of the Unforgivable Imperius Curse." Dmitri stood up and walked to the front of the boys desk. "Tell me that again when I've learned the spell, huh?" He chuckled and crossed his arms. "My name's Dmitri, and if you've taken the time to look towards the board, you'll notice that we..." He put a hand forward and flipped the boy's book to the right page, "...are studying basic Charms--Levitation, Unlocking and Summoning.""Ah, let me see..." The boy would mutter as he pulled out the right book for this class. "Charms...Now let's see...Sounds really...I don't know? Weak? "Charms" what kind of name is that! Eh, well it seems to be pretty important...so..."
He went back to his seat, smiling. He actually liked the boy. Dmitri didn't miss what spell the boy opened his book unto. It was an advanced spell--something taught towards the end of second year term.
And he liked people who looked beyond what is limited to them. They make great allies. Or potential dangerous enemies.

*Strange boy this one is...And, what the? I don't need this bull---t....Stop flipping the damn page! I was on the right one! Well...The right one for me anyways...*
The boy would be thinking, as the other weird Emo kid flipped the damn pages, to the ones listed at the board.
"I am aiming to learn a certain Charm called the Confundus that will let you do things you wouldn't normally do... Just short of the Unforgivable Imperius Curse." Now, Siege doesn't know or give a crap as to what the Unforgivable Curses, nor did he give a crap about the Confundus spell...What, rip that off Confucius? huh? Last I heard he didn't control nobody...wait...Does Confucianism count as controling a group of people? What a pain...Oops, supposed to be narrating here, my bad...
"Huh? I have a special spell too, reserved for someone screwing with me...It's called I-will-knock-you-out-ius...It's a useful spell, you should learn it." Said Siege, with a devil-may-care attitude. True, the concept of him or anyone being controlled by another person, is pretty damn scary...But at this point, Siege didn't care.
"My name's Dmitri..." Aaaaand, that's all that Siege caught, before boringly yawned, as the boy flipped through his damn book. Most of the time people wouldn't even approach the boy, he's got a lazy gaze, with a fit looking body, and a devil-may-care attitude...At least one of those things scream "TROUBLE"...
"The name's Siege..." He didn't know if people look at the Rankings thing...but he's currently at the top...I mean...What the hell? Siege did not expect to do good at this school at all...I mean, he flunked Astro, but other than that...He's been talking as he pleases, and the professors seem to receive it well...At least they have a sense of humor...But damn...At the top of the school? Siege wasn't expecting that...

Juliana walked into the room, late. As usual. She sat down in the furthest seat at the corner like she usually would do in every class. She looked at what everyone was doing, oh they where doing the Levitation charm, invented on 1544 by warlock Jarleth Hobart. Juliana took out her wand,"Wing-gar-dium Levi-o-sa" she said. Hump, unsurprised her feather flew high into the air. This one was easy to her. Juliana got bored, she flipped through the pages looking at the charms she could easily master today. She scanned the room surprisingly she found the boy from Slytherin: Dmitri. She looked at the other guy... Siege was his name? She could not remember... She looked at his face, she smiled whatever that had going on is seemed quite funny. She flipped to the pages so she could read about the other ones on the board. But she was too distracted by siege and Dmitri, the looks was the part that kept her distracted. She kept on biting her lip, she did not want to laugh side that would probably make one of them cast a glance in her direction and well... Stuff would happen. Half way reading about the u locking and locking spell Juliana could not hold it back anymore. She slightly burst out loud laughing, but instantly closed her mouth. She hohed really hard that none of them heard her. But it was too late one of them cast a glance in her direction. *Maybe he'll ignore me? Cause like its not weird that a lone person just bursts out laughing for no reason*

Kaegen walked smoothly into the room, his fluid motions awkwardly hitting against the floor. He sat down, took out his wand, stared at the feather in front of him and started humming to himself. He heard a girl randomly laughing and pushed it from his mind. His father told him people laughed all the time. This person was just laughing. But she did master the charm quickly. Very quickly.
Kaegen focused harder, humming to himself. The harder he focused the louder the humming was, until it became reasonably apparent that he was humming the words wingardium leviosa to himself, taking special care to emphasize the right syllables. This couldn't be too hard, all he had to do was go about it like he went about everything else. Slowly, and smoothly. His body was frozen, humming the same tune over and over until he was reasonably sure he could do the spell. He kept humming, though. First move's were important, and this one had to be perfect. He was going to get it right on the first try, just like that girl had done it. If only this was care of magical creatures or something to do with nature, it wouldn't take this much preparation.
After quite a bit of time spent no doubt annoying anyone nearby with his humming, Kaegen felt sure he could pull it off. His soft voice, a gentle breeze, carried enough power to set the magic to work, and the feather floated upwards. Not as well as the girl had done, but acceptable.

Adam knew the spell very well. Didn't everyone? The famed beginner's charm for instructors worldwide, Wingardium Leviosa held a place of fondness in all Hogwarts graduates' hearts: the Levitating Charm, the first spell they had ever learned. Filing into his charms class, he had been excited to get a jump on things, and had only half-listened to what the professor had said. His family had taught him all the most basic parts to this charm anyway; swish and flick, stress the pronunciation, don't expect more than you get. Adam sat at a table that was a little set aside from the rest of the students, not wanting his spellwork to interfere with his own. He looked around and took in the various degrees of success being enjoyed by his classmates. Kaegen, one of the boys from his house, had gotten his feather steadily into the air, while another girl had sent hers soaring with ease and now seemed to be researching what else she could practice.
Refocusing on his feather, Adam closed his eyes and raised his wand. He recited the spell mentally a few times to get a feel for it. When he was finally ready, Adam looked at the feather, drew his wand through the air in a purposeful swish, and commanded, "Wingardium Leviosa!"
Nothing. The feather remained on the table, only a little bit ruffled. Adam was extremely confused. He had done everything right, and he had plenty of experience. The charm should have worked! Trying to re-muster some confidence, he positioned his wand again, swished it through the air quickly, and anxiously muttered, "Wingardium Leviosa." The feather still would not obey his command.
Now Adam grew annoyed. Angrily, he glared at the feather and half-shouted, "Blast it, just do what I say and fly, you stupid thing!" He sped his wand through the motions shortly and angrily, and growled, "Wingardium Leviosa!"
The feather flew into the air, spiraling a little on its way up and finally coming to rest three feet off the table. He had done it! He had really cast his first charm! Adam was thrilled. Laughing, he made the feather swirl around in the air and dive towards the table. When he had had his fun, he put down his wand and sighed. That had been close, but he had made it through. He wouldn't be stopped by a silly little Levitation Charm.
He had so much more to learn.

Eri came to class late since she was in the library. She snuck into a desk in the far back corner hoping nobody noticed she hadn't been ther the whole time. She was fifteen minutes late. Eri picked up her wand and pointed at the feather. "Wingardium Leviosa." The feather went straight up in the air as the spell worked perfectly. The feather hovered in the air for a minute until it floated lazily back down. She smiledto herself hard practicing at home seemed to work out for her. She watched every one else do the spell. Some failed others didn't.
She smiled being in one of her favorite classes. She loved charms. She practiced lots of the material at home with her Aunt, who would kill her if she knew eri had been late to class. She sincerly hoped nobody had seen her come in late. They probably noticed her do the spell as soon as she sat down. Eri sat quietly observing everbody that was in the room. It was an interesting class. She really hoped the professor hadn't seen her come in late when she usualky was always early. She frowned thinking about if she got detention.

Amadea walked into the classroom with her head hung low, trying to attract as little attention as possible. She found a seat in the back of the class, next to another girl whom she did not know. Trying to sit as far away as possible, she opened up her book and looked around at the others. They were brandishing their wands around wildly muttering the Levitating Charm to themselves. Amadea took a deep breath and squeezed her eyes shut. She did not want to make an embarrassment of herself, especially not on the first day. Looking around at the other students successfully levitating their feather, Amadea's heart rate quickened. She was probably the only student here who had never practiced any magic before. Brushing a curl out of her face, Amadea cautiously picked up her wand and stared at the feather in front of her. Swish and flick she thought to herself. How hard can it be? As Amadea soon found out, it was much harder than it looked. She tried to flick her wand with the smoothness and grace of some of the other students she saw, but the wand flopped around in her hand. She definitely didn't feel like a witch.
She turned to the girl next to her, taking a deep breath. People were not high on Amadea's list of things she loved, but this time was as good as any to make some new friends. She saw the girl next to her successfully levitate the feather for a few seconds before it slowly came drifting back to the table. Amadea cleared her throat. "Hello," she said tentatively. "I'm Amadea. You must be very skilled in charms...to be able to levitate the feather." She looked away from the girl, hoping that she didn't come across as a loser.
