First Year Potions
Anna was the first to class, as hoped. Being the first to class means you get to pick your seat without being forced to sit by anyone. She took a seat in the second row, the table closet to the wall. She got out her potions book and turned to the first chapter and decided to start reading to get ahead.
About 10 seconds pass and Anna closes the book and sighs. Potions are boring she thought. She looked at the door to see if anyone was entering. The basement gave her the chills, it didn't seem right. Something was defiantly off but she couldn't tell what it was. She yawned, then put her head down on the desk and closed her eyes. She wondered if anyone in the class would be interesting to talk to. She also wondered if she would like her professor. Anna moved her head to the side to where if a student were to walk in the classroom, her face would be exposed to them.
She had stayed up all night reading because she couldn't sleep. She was up so early too... so early. Anna's eyes felt heavy as if weights were tied to her eyelashes pulling them down. She gave in to the temptation and closed her eyes. I'll just rest my eyes for a while. Anna felt her slipping away little by little and soon, she was asleep.

First Year Potions
Mikale rushed into the room, wondering how he could have gotten lost so easily on his way to class. There was a low rumble of chatter, not too loud to get into trouble, but definitely not quiet in the room. He glanced around and quickly jumped into the first empty seat he saw, right next to Anna. He ran his hair through his sweaty brown hair, kind of matting it to one side as he straightened his robes. He had practically run through the dungeons looking for the classroom. Taking a deep breath as he dropped his bag, willing his breathing to slow, he turned towards his neighbor to introduce himself and realized she was sleeping.
Struggling with the decision to wake the girl or let her sleep, Mikale glanced around, again. Just then, the professor walked into the room. Not wanting the girl to get into trouble, nor himself for allowing her to sleep, he tried to shake her awake, saying in a hushed voice, "Wake up! The professor is here." He glanced around, again, before pulling out his book. He hoped he was blocking anyone's sight of the girl so they wouldn't get into trouble. He glanced at her, again. "Are you awake?" He asked, trying to soften his tone.

First Year Potions
When Asteria walked into the Potions classroom she saw some other students, one from Hufflepuff and one from Gryffindor who had been rushing and nearly ran her over. The girl seemed to be sleeping and decied to sit in the third row at the last desk, wanting to finish reading. She pushed her white haie behind an ear before taking out a book, written by the muggle author Jack London, the Little raven started to read, getting lost in the richly written story, letting the world fade around her. But when the professor came in, she regretful closed her book before taking out her edited version of the Potion book which was left to her by her late parents.
Asteria really never did socialize with people much, preferring books ans quitness over chatter. She glanced up occasionally and saw some more students, one from her own house and shrugged. Her desk was chosen because she knew most would never sit this far so it worked perfectly for her. Closing her potion books, Asteria brought out another book that was about dragons, shiftera, and vampires. Over all, all she wanted was to graduate from the school and travle as well as control her guft. What she wasn’t expecting was someone to come up to her.

First Year Potions
Jane excitedly entered the room with her bag swung on her shoulder. She glanced around, maybe she was early? Since there where only three students in the room. She looked at all of them. Wow. Each person was from a different house. She sat down in the farthest seat from the front. Jane definetly did not want anyone to recognize her. She looked too much like her mother who was once a famous English singer, and Jane has been in a lot of her fathers juggle commercial on TV. She wished that he could just work in the ministry instead of having two jobs, but that was a worry for later. Jane had made a habit by now which is in every beginning of a class she would pull up her sleeves to see if her scars and bruises where gone yet. By now it seems permanent... Jane sighed. She started to him one of her mothers famous songs.... Jane never ever did this in her mansion or else her father would well... Get mad... Jane sat alone feeling really bored out of her mind. She waited for students to come in but on one came in yet. Seconds felt like hours, Jane fiddled with her white hair just like her mothers hair... She looked at another girl who had white hair like her, but not quite as rich... Jane started tapping her foot in boredom, then she flipped open her book so she could be ready for the lesson...
"I'm so bored!"

First Year Potions
Matilda seemed slightly nervous to enter the class to begin with, lingering slightly outside the door of the potions class before pushing her way inside. She inhaled deeply and took in smells of the classroom before she took a long, slow exhale to calm her slightly shaky nerves. She glanced around for a seat, taking in the faces of the various other first years that had entered the class before her and tried to pick out any familiar faces - not that she had made many friends since arriving here only days ago.
She continued to look around for a seat before deciding to take a seat near the front, adjusting her robes so that she could sit comfortably on the seat. She proceeded to remove what she assumed she'd need for the class and placed them neatly infront of her, organising them for the most efficient learning environment - slightly OCD, maybe. She removed her quill and ink last, placing them directly above a neat piece of parchment. She wrote her name in her neat handwriting at the top of the parchment before placing the quill down - she was ready to learn.

First Year Potions
Eri walked shyly into the classroom and took the back corner seat away from everyone. She took out her parchment and quill to take notes. Potions was one of her most difficult classes. She didn't exactly know why it was so difficult to her, but it was. Carefully placing her ink pot in front of her next to the parchment she sat down.
Nervously glancing around at all the other people Eri sat very quietly observing the others. She drummed her fingers impatiently on her desk waiting for the class to start. The sound of classmates' chatter was all Eri could hear.
Wanting to ignore the noise she picked up her book and started to read. Slowly the chatter became quiet background noise as she was sucked away into her book. She was so deep in her book she was not aware of any of her surroundings around her.
Sitting alone in the corner there was a few empty desks around her. Still deep in her book she had forgotten she didn't want anyone to sit next to her but she didn't care anymore. She needed so much help talking with people. Being socially awkward she is not able to talk to people that well.

Anna’s sleep was suddenly interrupted by a Gryffindor slightly shaking her awake. She immediately jumped up and looked around the room and found a few more people scattered around the classroom. There were a lot of mixed houses in the classroom already. One girl was humming a fimiliar song and the rest were reading their potion books. Anna’s face turned red, embarrassed that she fell asleep in front of her peers. “Are you awake?” the gryffindor asked. “Yes, I am now. Thank you for waking me, i’m very sorry about that I didn’t get much sleep last night” she avoided his face embarrassed of what he might think of her. Great, she thought, there goes my first impression.
“I guess I should introduce myself, my name is Anna.” she smiled and put her hand out. Anna thought that being polite and introducing herself would erase the fact that she was asleep 10 seconds ago.

She put her book down and saw Anna wake up. Seeing the professor walk in. Seeing everybody in the classroom she suddenly felt shy. She looked up at the professor and picked up her quill and was ready to take notes.
She sighed and clutched her gold locket with a tree on it and suddenly missed her aunt so much and felt a pang of guilt for feeling so many harsh thoughts towards her parents. She wiped the tears forming in her eyes away and made herself stop. Not wanting to show any weakness she bit her lip and looked down at her desk hoping nobody saw her almost cry.
Eri looked tired but she wasn't even after staying up all night reading books she got from the library so she would be able to learn more. Dreading this class since she never seemed to get it right she just stared at the front of the class. She watched everyone with observant eyes wanting to learn more about them and wanted nobody else to know anything about her at all.
Leaning her head on her hand she put her elbow on her desk. Staring off into space with her green eyes.

First Year Potions
Kaegen walked into the room strangely, moving with a smoothness that didn't quite seem natural. Nothing like the brisk walk of the other students, like the running of that one boy. His walk seemed purposeful, every muscle knowing exactly what was expected of it, and doing the job well. Until the foot hit the floor, anyway. The foot seemed to want to keep going, as if the floor was supposed to be made of sponge. And perhaps on sponge he would have moved with perfect grace, but on the stone floor of the dungeons the foot came down awkwardly. His gait only serving to make him look out of place, and he was painfully aware of it by the time he entered the classroom. His eyes darted around the room nervously, looking over the other students and the desks. A deep blush tinted his cheeks red as he tried to walk naturally over the stone. The faintest whisper of a melody, if you could call it that, came from his closed mouth as he hummed some broken song quietly.
His eyes caught and locked on to a desk at the very far back of the room. He walked over and sat down on the chair. His body was still as stone, except for his eyes, if he wasn't humming that broken tune, you wouldn't be able to tell he was breathing.

First Year Potions
Eri watches a boy walk a bit strangely into the room. As he took the desk in the far corner near her. He seemed so serious. She had seen this boy in the common room since he was Ravenclaw like she was, but she didn't personally know him. She would like to know him but he seemed so quiet like everything was inside him and he didn't want people to know anything about him. She personally knew how that felt.
She sat quietly in her desk as she waited for the class to start. She started writing down notes on the potions class. She could see what they would be doing today up on the board so she wrote it down.
Potions was always her hardest subject and she needed to learn all she could about it to get better. Like her aunt always told her. If you work hard you will always improve.
She finished writing down everything on the board and waited for the professor to come and teach the class or at least tell the class what to do. This class would be so interesting.
She smiled learning was always her favorite thing to do. So she waited for their class to start.
