This is a partner rp only. Please do not respond if you're not Helle Wynne, or Delilah Stewart.
Thank you.

Partners? Were they really that necessary? Helle wished she could do this by herself, for she had no friends, and she didn't expect to gain any anytime soon, especially after her major meltdown in the Great Hall after being sorted into Ravenclaw. Helle cringed to herself in embarrassment after the memory of the scene coming up into her head.

When she heard that they had to have partners in Potions that day, she was afraid that she's bound to have the Potions professor choose her partner for her, knowing she'd be left out from making a friend truly. However, it was only when she turned to find another girl in her year. She began to remember the girl throughout the time of being in Hogwarts so far and noticed she was highly educated and doing extremely well in all of her classes to date.

Could Helle possibly even dare ask to be partners with the other girl? Helle only feared she might just let her be her partner out of just kindness and being polite, but then continued to ignore her the rest of the school year besides their time in Potions. Helle looked around nervously, finding people are already forming partners and slowly leaving Helle out. She had little time to think things through truly, and so she chose the option of asking the young girl for partnership.

She moved her short legs over to the girl and asked her the simple, yet nerve wrecking question. "Um, may I...be your partner?" A whole wave of anxiety crashed into Helle as she looked over at Stewart, fiddling with the hem of her witch uniform and moving her eyes down to it to avoid looking any further at Stewart's own eyes.

She looked up slowly through her messy, blackish-brown hair at the short-lengthened hair girl with a nervous look from her onset of blue eyes. Her legs shook nervously, a habit she seemed to have formed when she first arrived to Hogwarts due to how much anxiety she is put through going past all the higher grade years such as fifth years to even seventh years.

She was pretty sure there were teachers in the mix as well. Helle, being a young girl who was still growing, caught her eyes staring at one higher grade year boy who she found charming to look at, only to push her eyes away quickly in embarrassment from looking, knowing better than to stare at people. She could only hope that the boy didn't see her looking and saw her as a weirdo.

But back to the potions class partner forming, this is probably a more worst feeling than going past all those tall students and teachers. The fear of actually talking to someone was slowly breaking Helle's mind, and asking such a simple question seemed to do just that for her.

Delilah only felt like she was book-smart, not much else, she could do the theory, but the practical stuff confused her. When she found out she would have a partner for potions she couldn't help but smile, hopefully whoever she partnered with could help her. She heard a few footsteps behind her and she spun around, her encounter with Siege had made her a little more wary of people walking up behind her.

To her surprise it was a really shy girl who she had seen around sometimes, she just couldn't remember her name unfortunately. She was more shy than Delilah was though, that's for sure. The timid girl had asked her if she wanted to be partners, to which she smiled and said, "Yeah, but just a warning I'm not great at this stuff." She laughed a little nervously before looking at the girls tie, "Oh you are in Ravenclaw too. I think I've seen you around in the commonroom a few times." Hoping to cheer the girl up.

"I'm Delilah. It's lovely to meet you." She smiled once again at the girl as the teacher began talking about what it is they would be doing. "Today you shall be brewing a Cure for Books, make sure to follow the steps on page 32 of Magical Drafts and Potions." Delilah sighed, she had read through the steps multiple times while studying in the library but she had never actually made one before. Although she was a little excited to brew her first potion. Delilah was completely oblivious to her mild fame within the first year students, she just enjoyed studying.

"So I've heard..." Helle spoke out quietly, sitting next to Delilah afterwards after the greeting, "Uh, Helle, Helle Wynne." She greeted herself slowly back to the girl before herself. "You probably heard about my little meltdown at the Ravenclaw Table in the Great Hall by now in school. I'm already getting mocked for it... Not like I didn't deserve it or whatever." Helle took a small breath, embarrassed of telling the only person willing to even talk to her that she was rather 'off' in general.

"I do find practical more easy than anything else. I rather see what I'm learning than read or study about it." Helle frowned to herself. "You think for Ravenclaws, we'd be excellent in our studies." Helle tried to joke. "That would be too nice for us though." She snorted gently to herself, rubbing her eyes with an index finger lightly, "We're tied with Slytherin for the house cup now. I hope we can get on our Potions teacher's good side, that would take a miracle, especially when her own house is gaining the lead." Helle looked down at her Potions book, getting what she needed for the cure they were bound to create.

Let's hope the points we get here will suffice against Slytherin..." Helle hoped, "A house cup twice in a row for Ravenclaw. How many times did that happen before in Ravenclaw history? Probably forever ago..."

When Helle mentioned her meltdown Delilah raised an eyebrow, "Actually I haven't, after I was sorted I was just kinda eating and looking around, I wasn't listening to anything. Also for learning, I'm guessing we are the opposite in that retrospect." While Helle was collecting ingredients, Delilah set up the equipment, bringing the mortar and pestle close to the front of the desk with the cauldron in the centre.

"Yeah I hope so too, I think we are in the lead but not by very far. And from what I've heard Ravenclaw doesn't have the best track record for winning the house cup, normally it's like a feud between Slytherin and Gryffindor, so I'm happy that we at least got it once." Delilah grinned, as she was able to use a mortar and pestle pretty good as it didn't involve magic she pulled it in front of her and waited for Helle to finish collecting the ingredients. Delilah would be lying if she said she wasn't excited to do this with a new friend. She was very excited to be making a potion that would hopefully work.

Once Helle had brought over the ingredients Delilah placed 6 Snake fangs in the mortar and started to crush up the fangs.

I may be semi-active for a little while due to school work and my newly busy schedule.

"That is a good thing." Hell breathed out in relief as she collected the ingredients, giving them to Delilah to use for the time being. "Slytherin and Gryffindor are always getting the one up on us and Hufflepuff. I feel bad for how bad Hufflepuff is doing. They're usually so hard working too as I've heard." Helle nodded to herself mostly before watching at their potion was slowly coming to life thanks to their teamwork. "I bet Professor Lear isn't too happy about that. Might be even giving them a hard time." Helle thought to herself.

"Professor Blevins is perfectly fine with us, as it seems though. Maybe because we're actually in the lead or something? I won't be surprised if Professor Mellowrose will be trying to be rid of us with points, or even Professor Ethel either." Helle muttered. "I don't wish get on their bad side, but I probably already did getting myself sorted into Ravenclaw."

Helle flinched back in surprise when she saw the pink smoke needed to know that the potion was a success. She breathed in relief, "You're a good partner." She spoke to Delilah, smiling to her softly.  She turned to raise her hand and tell the teacher they finished after a couple other people before moving to check out the potion. "So uh...ever had a boil problem?" She weirdly asked, "I remember an uncle of mine having it. Nasty business. Even gotten himself in a mess of snake bites when he did a spell wrong." Helle shivered at the memory.

Same, I have 2 exams next week and a day trip to a college so I won't be as active but I'll try my best

Delilah smiled at the potion when it was ready then smiled at Helle. "I find professor Mellowrose quite scary when he isn't passing out every other minute." He seemed to always either be exhausted or angry, no in-between. "We will always have somebody against us no matter what house we were placed in. We can't change the past so we are stuck with the rivals we have now."

"You're a good partner too, maybe we should partner up more in this class."
Then Helle asked the strange question about the books and Delilah wasn't sure what to respond with, "Not personally no, and God does that sound bad." Delilah had heard some wizard and witches saying 'merlin' instead of 'god' like ' Oh  Merlin's beard' where muggles would say 'Oh god' or something along those lines, Delilah still hadn't adjusted to the new sayings.

Delilah watched as the Professor came over to their cauldron and inspect their potion, after a seemingly long silence from the three, the teacher looked up at the first years and said, "Perfect girls, very well done." To that Delilah raised her hand in front of Helle, "High-five?"

Helle hesitated for the high-five before finally deciding to actually give it to Delilah, smiling at her new friend politely.  "Really though? I find him rather handsome, even if he is a bit mean." Helle played with her hair, embarrassed. "At least I'm not drooling over Professor Blackburn like every other girl!" She tried to defend herself quickly. "He's like...old, and...who am I kidding? Mellowrose is probably twice his age."

Helle frowned, looking down at the ground before looking back up at Delilah. "Surely you probably have some sort of teacher crush by now yourself, right? You do so well in classes as I've heard that the teachers talk about you every now and again. I hope to get an O average and do really well on my N.E.W.T. exams after the end of my 7th year. A minister of magic...! My father would like that." Helle thought to herself in delight. "That is...if they'll take a Wynne into the ministry in the first place. My family's history isn't...very nice." Helle slowly told the truth to Delilah, hoping that didn't throw off their friendship with each other.

"I need to reply back to my father's letter at some point, but I just don't know what to say back to him really."

" I suppose he is handsome now that I think about it, I just try and do my work so he doesn't get mad at me or something, he smashed the herbology greenhouse door because he couldn't find his cat. But personally I'm a fan of Professor Blackburn, I'm not entirely sure why, he is really nice." When Helle had said she heard teachers talking about her she laughed a little, how come everybody else found out about Delilah before Delilah heard about this. First somebody comes up to her in the Library saying she had heard about her because people were talking about her a lot and now this, she hadn't heard anybody talking about her.

"Please tell me it's good things the teachers say about me, I've never heard them do so." She smiled at her as she spoke about her future plans, "I'm not sure what I want to do, I wanted to be a librarian but now that I found out about this entire world I have no idea what to do anymore. Also what did your dad say? I might be able to help you."

Delilah didn't want to be nosy, she just wanted to help, she hoped that her asking wouldn't discouraged Helle from responding.

"Professor Blackburn has someone already." Helle muttered, "And I gotten an O and everything on his homework..." Helle turned to Delilah, "Oh, they're very good things! They think you'd be good enough to make it to be a Minister of Magic at this point." Helle noted to her.

"I wonder how you do it though, being so willing to do such tough work. Did you come from a tough family?" Helle asked, "My father only wishes for me to do my best." Helle turned to the next potion they'd be making that day, mixing a new batch for a sickness curing potion this time. "I want to please him. I never saw him smile before, you know."

Helle looked down at their book for what they are supposed to do. "Since my brother left us and my mother passed, he lost what it means to be happy as I noticed. I think I did too. I miss my brother." She shook her head before seeing the potion turning purple and green. "Well, now to cook it at a warm temperature for a couple minutes." She sighed.

"A place on the ministry though. Wouldn't that be swell? Goblins as bank tellers... This whole place is amazing. I only wished my father showed me around much sooner."

Sorry it took me a while to reply

Delilah frowned a little, "Yeah I know, the divination professor isn't it?" When Helle told her that she got an O Delilah clapped, "I only got an E, I mean that's still good but you deserve it?" Then she started talking about family, she decided not to bring up the dead parents thing so she just said, "My granny is proud of me no matter what I do, so I'm trying to make her the most proud Granny this world has ever seen." She laughed, sometimes it was a little boring, always being the goody-two-shoes who does her homework on time and studies for fun, one day she would like to take some risks. Maybe she would swim in the lake at some point.

"Yeah that would be great, you would get to meet all sorts of people." She couldn't help but smile again, that sounds amazing, although then she would be the ultimate good girl and she didn't really want that. But the ministry of magic did sound amazing to work at. "I know this is a bit random, but what is the most risky thing you have ever done? To be honest I haven't done much, my life is pretty boring."
