Problems with Potions PV Caroline Davis Aband.

Marilyn was struggling to listen to the professor. For some reason, Potions was just not clicking with her. Grades she was getting were passing, but barely. She only got As by a few points, and knew that if she slacked off at all (which she tended to do) she'd easily slip and get Ps.

Today she was in class at a brewing table of students in various houses, people she hadn't met before. She had tried to say hello and make friends with one of them, a Gryffindor boy, but he was too focused on his work and kept shushing Marilyn whenever she tried talking to him about any not class related. When she was struggling to keep up with notes and the time to begin actually brewing began, Marilyn was beginning to stress out. She was worried about talking to the others at the table because she didn't want to be aggressively shut up like with the Gryffindor. She was completely out of her element here.

She figured she should just go for it on her own, for once. She picked up the first handful of ingredients for their potion, looking at the textbook over and over to make sure she wasn't moving a muscle wrong. All she could think about was getting a passing grade. As long as the potion resembled what it should've been... that would be fine, right?
