Coriander stood beside the desk in the empty classroom, hovering over something unseen. On the floor a few feet away was a box, about the size of a textbook and fairly unobtrusive. The desk was as usual, save for an empty box of jellybeans that was on its side. Coriander herself was leaning over the jellybeans that had previously been in this box, clutching her wand and trying to focus her mind the best she could.

Pranks were fun. Nobody could deny that, no matter what. There were some situations when pranks could go a little too far, but this wasn't one of them. It was typical circumstances - Coriander was bored, she thought her Transfiguration homework had been a bit too hard lately, and so she decided to play a harmless prank on her Transfiguration teacher. Bonus points, too, because technically it was something that he had taught her.

The point of the prank was to turn all these jellybeans into boxes. Coriander figured there were about a hundred of them, and a hundred small-ish boxes that came out of nowhere was just enough to be mind-boggling while totally harmless.

The hard part was actually turning the jellybeans into boxes. It was easier said than done - for a first year, at least. Coriander knew that it would take her a while, and that was why she had come to class ridiculously early. So far, she had tried about ten jellybeans - only one of them had been successfully transfigured. The rest had been inflicted with the spell again and again until they popped.

But still, Coriander wasn't a quitter. Once again, she sorted one jellybean from the others, and pointed her wand at it. Muttering the incantation under her breath and waving her wand, she watched as... the jellybean gave a feeble jump and fell off the desk. For the third time in a row. Coriander sighed and bent down to pick it up, when she heard the door to the classroom being opened.

Reyna opened the door to the transfiguration classroom. Yesterday she had lost her quill somewhere, and she had been searching for it for about an hour now. She remembered last using it to write down a transfiguration formula, so she had decided to show up early to class. After all it would definetily leave a good impression if she was the first one to arrive, right?
To her surprise, she was not the first student in class. In front of her stood a short haired hufflepuff girl holding her wand in one hand and a green jelly bean in the other. Next to her were two boxes, one of them empty and the other filled with even more jelly beans.
- Hmmm... what? - Reyna said, a look of surprise on her face. She scanned the apparently empty classroom with her eyes, trying to understand the situation. She saw her quill on the floor, underneath a desk near the entrance. Still unsure of what to do, she slowly closed the door behind her and went over to grab her quill, always keeping a close eye on the stranger.
- Soooooo... - Reyna said after having retrieved her quill, putting her hand on her hip and lifting her chin slightly - can I ask what the hell you're doing? -.
She sounded curious. Reyna wasn't stupid, she realised that the girl was probably doing something she was not supposed to be doing.
