Unexpected Encounters
Asteria entered the History of Magic classroom with her fellow Gryffindors, It was the first class of the day, and Asteria already felt bored. History of Magic wasn't exactly the most fun class at Hogwarts, but it was mandatory, for now at least. Walking down a few steps, Asteria decided to take a seat near the back of the class, as she took out her quill and parchment, Asteria began remembering a simpler time. A time where she could relax more, where she still got good grades, but maybe wasn't the best student in terms of behavior. Thinking this far back only led her to remembering a friend she had made back then. Thomas Lurking, she remembered the boy quite well.
Asteria looked down at the bracelet on her left arm, and smiled fondly, it was a gift from him after she told him she wouldn't be coming around anymore. Her Aunt and Uncle, before moving to Ireland use to live in his neighbor. With Asteria's parents always being busy with work, her Aunt and Uncle would take her in for long periods of time. This allowed her to eventually met and befriend Thomas, they soon became best friends there after. The once shiny brown beads had now dimmed with time, painted was chipped off of one or two of the beads, but for the most part it was in good condition. She wondered how he was fairing, if he even remembered her at all, it has been years since they were together after all."All right class settle down, settle down." came the voice of the professor. "We have work to do, and quite a lot at that, so pay attention." a groan rumbled through the room as though it were thunder. Asteria gave a small sigh as she flipped her hair behind her shoulder, that was the past, however much she missed it. "Now," the professor contiuned, ignoring the uninterested sigh of his students, "today's lesson, will be about Pure-blood supremacy, and the anti-muggle movement.I hope you're prepared to do some writing, because you're going to need notes, for your homework, and test later on in the week."
Oh, what Asteria wouldn't give to be that girl again, the girl who would play pranks on the teacher, and maybe a few students. But she's grown out of that, she's a young lady now and she needs to act like it. All those years of her grandmother poking and prodding at her to act more like a girl had finally paid off, somewhat at least. That's not to say Asteria no longer has that part of her within her, oh no it's still there it was just.....pushed back deep down. But goodness, there have been many times where she was tempted to break free and let loose.

Unexpected Encounters
Ah. The class he had been waiting eagerly for. Only for the particular reason that the Wizarding world would finally be open to his investigation and its shimmering mysteries might be, in some way, lit upon by the hopefully perspicacious wit of their Professor. But, of course, being himself, a boy with little understanding of proper usage of time, he was late, falling behind the rest of the students who had already made it to their defined classes, which was also perhaps affected by his complete ignorance to the layout of the school, and his utter fear at the common modes of transport, namely the horrifying and demonic stairs with minds of their own.

Reaching the classroom, nobody waiting outside, the sound of their Professor speaking in a terse tone about homework or other finding his ears, he tried sneaking in furtively, taking easy steps, the door opening silently, closing behind gently. He looked for an open seat, glancing about the room, noticing the class was brimmed with more Gryffindors than any from his own house, and then there he thought he saw a Hufflepuff near the front, and tried resolutely to make it close to the student, concluding in mind that a Hufflepuff would be more quiet than the rest, allowing him peace and reprieve to listen to the lecture with actual attentive understanding.
But then, of course, due to his clumsy nature, a nature of which he was eager to curse the Gods for its imbuement and overall chaotic assignment within his life, his foot found the corner of a chair leg and soon went sprawling, hitting the ground with a yelp, face first in embarrassed terror. The sound was loud enough for just about everyone to take notice, and he thought, maybe, it would be better to simply stay there, laid flat out on the ground, then to stand and embrace his utter failure in a clandestine entrance. Unexpected Encounters
"Now, class who can tell me when the first wizarding war took place, hmm? Come on now, don't be shy." The professor encouraged. A Hufflepuff student boy sitting near the front raised his hand and stated. "It started in the 1970's, sir." he said completely unsure of his answer. "Yes, yes, this is correct." Professor Wigg said. "The first wizarding war officially started in the 1970's, However," he droned on. "there were conflicts that dated back way before the 1970's, some conflicts started as early as the 1940's...." As the professor went on in an endless, explanation, Asteria spotted out the side of her eye a late arrival, she couldn't make out who though. Probably some student that would rather be anywhere but here, and got caught. Deciding to pay attention for the sake of her grades, Asteria jotted down what the professor said, making sure she didn't leave anything important out.
It wasn't long before the sound of a chair scraping the floor and the loud yelp of a boy filled the room. The sound was enough to pull the students out of their dull state and the professor out of his lesson. Like all the students in the room, Asteria looked toward the cause of the noise. It was a first year Ravenclaw boy, a rather familiar looking one at that. Asteria's deep green eyes squinted to try and get a better look at the boys face, but he continued to lay face first on the floor, vibes of embarrassment all to strong were radiating from him. As all the students except for Asteria broke out into laughter, it was the professor who spoke up.
"Well now," Professor Wigg said, his voice seeping with annoyance that his lesson was disturbed. "It seems you've finally decided to join us, Mr. Lurking." Asteria's eyebrows shot up at hearing his last name. Lurking, she knew someone name lurking, but it can't be him. He was in the muggle world, causing trouble and having the time of his life doing it if she knew Tom as well as she thought she did. "Unfortunately, this is no place for a nap," The professor continued. "So unless you want me to dock off points from Ravenclaw, I suggest you stand up and find yourself a seat.Like the one you just tripped over, next to Ms. Hana." The professor then turned his attention to his other students, "Alright, shows over, back to the lesson." The class began to settled down from their brief fit of giggles, and prepared to continue taking notes, "Now, as I was saying," the professor turned his attention back to the lesson on the bored behind him. "Pure-blood supremacy existed long before the days of You-Know-Who of course. There a many dark witches and wizards who came before him...."
