Seeing Stars

𝒜madea headed up to the astronomy tower. Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest, partly due to the exercise of climbing up the stairs but mostly because of what she was about to do.
Thurston Barclay was one of, if not the, most terrifying professors at Hogwarts, in Amadea's opinion at least. He seemed different from the rest of the professors, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing but Amadea found his mysterious personality to be terrifying. At the beginning of the year, Amadea had set her goal to get to know all of the new staff members a little better. After all, she was a prefect and often had to interact with the adults at school. It would be helpful to know a little about them.
Amadea had decided to take this initiative. Astronomy was one of Amadea's favorite subjects (but who was she kidding, she enjoyed them all). Astronomy also existed in the Muggl world. Unlike the rest of her classes where she was thrown blindly into something entirely new, she hadn't felt completely lost in her astronomy class. There were many similarites between Muggle astronomy and the class, which Amadea found comforting; it was a large contrast to the rest of her life where she found hesrlf immersed in things that she had never heard of before.
Amadea reached a closed door with the sign reading 'In the Tower: ....Barclay.' Was she really about to do this? Yes, she thought to herself. She had to do this. She was sure that Professor Barclay was not a scary person. After all, she had some valid questions. She formulated her thoughts in her head; earlier in the day Amadea had written everything she wanted to say out on a spare piece of parchment. She tended to get a bit discombobulated when she was nervous and sometime stuttered over her words. Feeling in her pocket for the piece of parchment, Amadea forced herself to take some deep breaths. She had everything planned out. She knew what she was going to say. Everything would be fine.
Before she could lose her nerve yet again, Amadea cleared her throat and rapped her knuckles against the door. "Professor Barclay?" she asked hesitantly, wondering if he had heard her or not.
