A Magical Evening Closed

It was around 6:30 and Mae had about an hour to kill before lights out so she decided that she would go up and relax at the Astronomy Tower and maybe even meet a new face, which would be nice. Mae was only on the seventh floor but she didn't mind going up the tower slowly. It was more of a lazy night for her, she had only ever been to the Astronomy tower for classes so she hoped she wouldn't find herself in trouble. She was finally reaching for what felt like an eternity the door to the astronomy tower. When she was inside she found a large room filled with things about constellations and some telescopes and seats that were probably filled hours ago. The breeze that was filling the room was incredibly nice. She walked over to an area to sit down and she finally saw how far up she was, but for once it hadn't made her nervous. She was sure that the area was enchanted with a spell that prevented the kids from falling to the ground. She decided that she was going to relax and look at the night sky so she sat down on the edge put only so far where she could dangle her feet off. She looked up "Wow the sky is so beautiful," she mumbled to herself.

Verla hadn't noticed another girl in the tower with her as she laid down in a sleeping bag, she had gotten permission to sleep in the tower for a night, if she was by herself, she'd have the time of her life. Sleeping under the stars helped her sleep better at night. Then she heard a girl say "the sky is so beautiful."

Verla didn't want to say anything and startle her but she nodded in a greement if she did know she was in there. She sighed quietly and decided to say "yes it is. Very lovely indeed." She began to drift off into sleep, until the girl said something, she opened her eyes and asked "what?" She didn't want to sound rude, so she sat up and looked at the girl and smiled at her. She wished she could stay up there and never go back down to the world that didn't want her. But she knew she'd get in detention for not leaving, again. And she didn't want to get another one, since the last time she was mischiefise, she got caught, and she didn't planned getting in trouble again for her behavior, and she stayed away from any one else who is that way too.

Mae continued to look at the sky and how beautiful it was. Back in Dublin, there were always street lamps in the way so Mae was always unable to see the sky. There were so many stars they twinkled like diamonds almost. Mae must've not noticed another person in the tower because not to shortly after she heard "yes it is. Very lovely indeed.". It scared the bejeezus out of Mae as she looked away from the sky to look around. All she saw in the tower was the same stuff where it was, all the telescopes and maps. She figured it was a ghost maybe and continued looking at the sky. Mae then heard the same voice "what?". Mae looked up again, still nothing. She was starting to think there was more than one person in the building. She pulled her legs in from the edge of the tower and turned around. "Hello, is anyone in here?" she said waiting patiently for a response. Mae knew for sure that there may have been one or two people in here. Another thing she knew for sure that the first voice was a girl, and she wasn't sure of the other gender or if there was another person at all.

Verla noticed the person looking for her, and she got out of her sleeping bag. "I'm sorry if I startled you, it was never my intent, if anything you scared me, I didn't see you come in here." Verla saw her new pet bowtruckle peak his head up from sleeping. He saw the girl and ran to her, Verla tried to catch him before he could, but he slipped between her fingers. He waved as he looked up at her, then he giggled. "Lake, don't even think about it!" He giggled before he was going to cause mischief. Verla runned up to the girl and grabbed him from in front of her. He hanged in her hand and pouted as she drew away from the girl. She put him down, then turned and faced her. "I'm Verla, Verla Harness." She extended a hand, and she didn't care if she didn't take it, Verla couldn't blame her, she did scare the poor girl.

Lake was again asleep, and Verla checked to make sure, "I'm sorry about Lake, I named him Lak for an acronym but decided to call him Lake, so the E doesn't mean anything, I cannot say what it means however."

Mae then saw a head of a person pop up.  "I'm sorry if I startled you, it was never my intent, if anything you scared me, I didn't see you come in here.". Mae then saw a thin plant looking thing run out of the sleeping bag the girl was in. It ran straight at Mae. The plant looked up at Mae and waved and giggled. "Lake, don't even think about it!". The girl got out of her sleeping bad and picked up the leafy plant. It hanged in her hand as she then put it down. "I'm Verla, Verla Harness." she extended her hand, but Mae didn't know whether to take it or not. "I'm sorry about Lake, I named him Lak for an acronym but decided to call him Lake, so the E doesn't mean anything, I cannot say what it means however.". she said. Mae definitely wondered why, but didn't want to ask, it could be a sad thing. "Hi, I'm Mae Winters, and your fine you didn't scare me," she said letting out a giggle. "Well much, and lake is quite cute, if you don't mind me asking what is he, I don't know most of the animals in the wizarding world yet,". she added "Also may I also ask what he would do to me if you hadn't grabbed him?" she asked Inquisitively.
