A secret gift for the Headmaster
Santario was in the great hall eating breakfast when an owl came fluttering down to her dropping off a letter before promptly flying away. She set down her glass of juice and wiped her hands on a napkin before picking up the letter and opening it. It stated that @Solomon Lear was to be her Secret Santa professor for the gift exchange that she hand signed up for. This was going to be tricky. What do you get the Headmaster of Hogwarts for the holiday? That was when it dawned on her if she acted now, she would have plenty of time to execute her plan with her parent's help of course.
She made a mad dash towards the owlery to send a letter to her parents she would need them to acquire a special item for her and be prepared to develop the canisters of photos that she had in a rush for her so that she could make sure to get everything prepared for the Headmaster to receive the gift before the holiday vacation. There was one thing that she was really, really good at and that was photography. She knew the headmaster like every other student and professor spent most of their time here out of the year, but she hoped she could help him see some of the things that he might miss being the Headmaster.
He was a very busy man after-all and he most certainly wouldn’t have the time to attend every event or even see himself in candid settings. Now that this package was sent off to her mom, she would rush down from the owlery tower and make her way to the Slytherin Common room. She could always get her photos redone so she didn’t mind taking some out of her album for the sake of the one that she was making for him. She wondered how all the students weren’t basically star athletes with trips all over the huge castle-like this she chuckled to herself softly. Remembering at the beginning of the year that this trip would have made her out of breath halfway through, but here she was headed down the stairs and now only just getting out of breath.
Speaking the password the bare stretch of wall removed itself to reveal the entrance to her common room. She rushed passed everyone sitting in it giving a wave to the people she knew before darting into her dorm. Grabbing her photo album off of her desk she plopped herself down onto her bed and started looking through the photos she had already developed. Plucking a photo out of her album here and there setting them in a neat stack off to her left. Once she finished there wasn’t much she could do until her parents were able to owl her back.
A few days later, cutting it a little close to her deadline, a large package arrived for her carried by two owls. A grin lit up her face as she collected the package and scurried off from the great hall back down to her dorm room. Opening the package the photo album she saw inside was even better than she had imagined it to be. It was perfect and she thought it might just be the Headmaster aesthetic, or at least she hoped it was. With the photo album was a smaller box containing the new photos that her mother developed for her and wrapping material so that she could wrap everything when she was done. Something no doubt thought up by her father who was the family's master gift wrapper.
So now came the task of putting the photos in order, writing down her comments about the photos, writing her letter to the headmaster, and finally wrapping it and sending it off. This is something that would take her easily the rest of the afternoon/evening as she wanted to make sure that everything was perfect. She had probably rewritten her letter to the headmaster 100 times before she was finally happy with how it came out, but in the end, she was fully satisfied with his gift even if she was nervous about how he would feel about it.
With a deep breath, she carefully laid the leather-bound photo album at the bottom of the package and placed her parchment on top of it so that her words would be the first thing that he would see. Using the supplies her parents sent her she would wrap the gift carefully. Slipping her carefully wrapped gift into another box so that it was protected she, quite close to curfew but not passed, managed to get it sent off. She did not know where or when the Headmaster would receive his gift, but she did hope it would be somewhere, like the great hall, that she could see his reaction when he did so.

When the Headmaster did inevitably get his gift, he would find the box inside wrapped in a black wrapping paper with golden stars patterned over it. Acting as the ribbon was very thin golden garland that had little stars coming off of it, and finally topped with an extravagate gold and black bow. Once he was passed the wrapping, he would open it up to find a stationary parchment and written upon it in emerald green ink was:

Underneath he would find a brown leather-bound photo album and inside there would be many, many photos of good things that had happened throughout the year so far.Happy Holidays Headmaster Lear,
I know I sent this quite close to the deadline so I am not sure if it would have made it to you before the holiday break. However, I hope when it does find you it finds you in good spirits. When I signed up for the Professor Secret Santa I never thought I would get the Headmaster himself and when I did I spent a lot of time thinking about what you might like.
I do not know much about you and you are often very busy so seeing much of you is not an easy thing either. That is something that probably just comes with the job description. So I put together this gift for you hoping that I have chosen some things that you do not often get to see. I hope you like it and I hope it brings you great joy.
Season’s Greetings,
Your Secret Santa
