Relay Race
Description: Many students at Hogwarts were, physically speaking, quite weak. With the current situation at the school, it was easy to see why some kids were feeling scared. They were defenseless. To distract the children from their stress and give them some of the tools required to feel confident in their abilities. Physical fitness was a path to mental wellness in the eyes of Professor Kibitzer. Plus, getting a bunch of kids to jump over obstacles for house points sounded like a good way to de-stress for the professors as well.
It would be a good opportunity for the students to bond and encourage each other, too, or at least make enemies that could distract them from the graver dangers at Hogwarts. The Quidditch Training Pitch would be booked for a day to give the students a taste of the Muggle struggle – pure, physical obstacles that they could resolve without the use of their wand. Students would be organized into teams of 3 to complete a small obstacle course in a relay race format, with each student having one obstacle to complete all to themselves. The team that took the least time to finish all obstacles would be victorious (even though everyone gets the same prize for participating, the victors would have more of Nora and Rosa’s approval.). The obstacles were simple: a small hurdle run, a set of monkey bars, and a rope net to climb over. Plenty of opportunity for the kids to create their own problems, though.
To participate, get 2 friends, enemies or strangers to join your team and complete a mini obstacle course with you.
Once your thread has been posted, please reply to this thread with a link to your thread along with the names of your teammates.
You will create a thread in the Quidditch Training Pitch where you and your teammates will tackle this obstacle course.
Feel free to godmod Rosalind Kibitzer or Hjørdis Jensen timing your run, shaking their heads disapprovingly, or just watching. You can also @mention us if you want to invite us to join in.
You may use magic to assist yourself or your under-performing teammates, but Professor Kibitzer will shake her head disapprovingly at your inability to complete the course using just your muscles.
